Cakes are pretty solid, though expensive, but its a good cafe for casually meeting friends without having to go to a full restaurant. I don't think I'd buy a full cake here, because the cakes aren't bakery/patisserie level good, but a slice here and there is ok. Their app is great as they have regular offers, and the pickup process is smooth. It'd be nice to see them change up the cake flavours now and then or to try something more unique. The existing lineup is not bad, but still plays it pretty safe / are classic flavours. As for the cakes themselves, blueberry chiffon is my favourite because I enjoy a more typical blueberry flavour, then the blueberry yogurt, and the red velvet. Most cakes are light, not too sweet (exception is the red velvet as its cream cheese), but all were fresh and a good portion size too.

I've seen the mishandling of food and preparations of beverages that made me queasy. This was even before they received an infraction from Peel public Health. Employees are generally friendly and helpful. If you have the app, every purchase collects you points and provides offers for redemption. There are weeks where they do challenges, give you choices between beverages at half the cost and sometimes give away free pastries, especially on your birthday. It certainly compels you to return. There were times I've been where the floor and tables were in shambles. I understand that times get busy and patrons can be nasty, but it's also important to wipe down areas and keep it clean even if it's added work. Presents the cafe as more appealing. The baked goods selection is vast and depending on items, can be expensive. Everything looks appetizing though I've only tried a few pastries and some were very good, while others were hard and not as fresh. Their cake slices are good and decadent, also sharable. Have tried their croissants, though not the best. I tend to order hot and cold beverages. I used to like the cappuccino but switched to ordering iced caramel macchiato and iced strawberry matcha instead.

It was busy, but not overwhelming at all. It's a great spot to sit and get work done if you're planning to stay for a while. I got the cinnamon sugar cookie and an iced vanilla latte and both were delicious. The latte was made really well and the cookie was perfectly baked and so good. The space itself is small and cozy, with cute Christmas decorations up. There isn't a ton of seating, but it's enough for the cafe. The service was great overall. They didn't have a huge staff, but it worked perfectly for how busy it was. Everyone was efficient, kind, and welcoming. I'd definitely come back!

The prices were quite reasonable as well. After ordering the staff give you a number and bring the food to your table! The coffee was great! (Caramel Latte) and the muffin was tasty also. Price is slightly more expensive to independent coffee shops and fast food coffee. I have gotten a matcha soft serve ice cream, a matcha drink and 2 cold latte drinks (Spanish & Kyoto). For the matcha taste, it is a lot more bitter and will be different from other places' matcha drinks because I think the matcha is directly from Japan.

Decent, but these sweets are not for me…read more I enjoy sweet and even the occasional Timbit, but I found these puffs drenched in oil and super sweet. Overall just very wet and aggressively sugary. In an age where people are trying to eat healthier, I cant really imagine myself coming back for this when I could have a larger portion of more refined sweets elsewhere. Likely a better fit for people with a major sweet tooth or for kids. It's similar to a treat you'd eat at a food truck in a festival or outdoor event. I feel as if I ate an entire week's worth of sugar in one go. The shop itself is pretty modern, spacious, and clean. Sparse seating, lots of mirrors, etc. But the location is great, and there's lots of plaza parking. Staff were ok but very busy with orders. The rest of the menu seems good. Lots of variety of other sweet drinks and pastries, but also items to balance out the sugar like coffee, tea, savoury pastries, etc. Kind of like a crossover between Tim's and Starbucks. I am hesitant to try other items though because of how sweet the puffs were. The pricing is also really steep for the kind of food it is. Personally speaking, Id rather hit Krispy Kreme because those donuts while sugary, don't feel as greasy / heavy as these puffs. For comparison these puffs are around $1/pc and an original donut at Krispy Kreme is around $1.50 An additional minus is the online/app ordering process. I ordered on the app, arrived, and didn't notice any instruction for pickup ( no signage , markers, etc). I waited 10 mins because it was pretty busy, staff were working nonstop, and I had just ordered less than 5 mins ago. I had to ask the staff about my order, and it turned out it was ready all along sitting in a cabinet with frosted glass doors, so I couldn't even tell they had any orders waiting. The app also didnt have a progress bar, just an estimated finish time at time of order. Less than seamless, for sure

After dinner, I decided to drop by this Starbucks that was next door to see if I could pick up a treat. Looks are deceiving. This cafe looks small when you stand in front of it. However, when you open the door, there's a huge seating area on the left. It's a large cafe. Maybe it's because it doesn't have a drive-thru. There were lots of folks seated, sipping on a beverage, munching on baked goods, and chatting. It looked like a cool place to chill. It felt relaxed. I stood in line behind a couple of customers. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted. I looked at the lemon loaf slice in the display case. I hadn't had one in ages. Okay, I'll get it. Well, all that changed when I spotted the snowman cookies. I have had one so far this winter. It was the one with red earmuffs and a scarf. I spotted a blue version. I wanted it instead. I got the friendliest, cheerful woman when I got to the order area. I grabbed the snowman with the blue earmuffs and scarf. I let her know that I was here for the snowman cookie and that I'm late to the party. She smiled. She let me know that the Valentine's Day heart-shaped sugar cookies were out, too. Oh, no! She said that I should go with the snowman cookie since I had my heart set on it. I agreed. More choices weren't good here. I got my Starbucks card scanned off my phone. Done! She handed me my cookie. I thanked her and happily left with my treat. I had it today. It was buttery, sugary, and yummy. I don't visit Starbucks as much as I used to. I'm so glad that the snowman cookie still exists. I have had it for years and the yearly tradition to devour at least one continues. I had a great experience. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area. (15)
