A small, locally owned and operated bakery that caters to folks who need gluten free desserts - which isn't me but I'm always game to try! The selection of goods made it hard to choose just one, but I ended up getting a blueberry oatmeal muffin. Fresh, flavourful and filling!! As with many gluten free bakery items they can be a little on the sticky side but I enjoyed it just the same. The lady who served me was very kind and welcoming. Appreciative of the service and in fact before handing me the debit machine to pay, she skipped the tip option for me which I thought was very respectful. For anyone with gluten intolerance or anyone who loves their baked treats I would recommend you check out this place on your next visit to Orillia.

They did have plenty of bagels when we popped in later in the afternoon. They also keep items coming, so I'm sure you'll score something delicious! Stopped in with my mom on a Saturday and were warmly welcomed. I had stopped in a few weeks back for a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving that was delicious which is why I had to go back! On this occasion, we decided to try their flat bread and soup for a mid afternoon lunch - both were so flavourful. We both agreed we would order that again for sure. It was the perfect comfort meal on a cooler fall day. We also got some sweet treats to take with us. There was still plenty to select from. We opted for a date square, apple butter square, raspberry cheesecake square and kitchen sink cookies - They all disappeared before I remembered to take a photo - oops! :) Let me say, the date square was jam packed with dates! Everything had the right level of sweetness and tasted so good. I will definitely be back! They have so much more to try! Oh and they also offer a special brunch menu on Sundays. Highly recommend stopping in. You'll be supporting local and I'm certain you'll find a sweet/savoury treat or two!

They serve local roasted beans from Muskoka Roastery Coffee Company and I ordered a French press of hazelnut vanilla coffee which hit the spot. They had several grain-free (and gluten free) options for sweets and I ordered a delicious brownie which was perfectly vanilla-heavy and fudge-like and not too sugary. All freshly baked too! Hubs ordered a butter tart which was generous and flaky while my toddler enjoyed a trail mix style cookie. She certainly enjoyed it and I hope you will too! Ended up grabbing a few bags of chips, along with other snack items. I also grabbed an incredible freshly baked croissant from the bakery next door, so good!! Could have spent a lot more time in here browsing/drooling but alas the lake (and my trunk full of booze!) were calling! Until next time!

They also serve different types of Afternoon Tea. They also sell breads like Sour Dough ($12.00) and French Baguette ($4.50) for takeout. We ordered the following: 1. Nutella Croissant ($6.95). 2. Flat White (small $4.95). They charge the normal 13% HST, but there is an extra 3% resort fee! Both the croissant and coffee were good. The service was good. Some people make reservations for their favourite tables. They certainly make sure every is clean and chairs aligned. Four of us were sitting around a very small round table, so I put my camera case and bag on top of a neighbouring table (they were only 20% full). My wife told me they were staring at me. After I took it off and put them on the floor under my seat, they cleaned the table; must clean off any dirt I might have on my stuff! They have been open for 3 years. They allow photos using a phone but not a DSLR. They said they would charge $250 for me to take photos. One staff member recommended I speak to the owner. The owner was concerned that I take photos of his prices: this makes not sense since I can also do it with my phone! He finally allowed me to take photos of just the food, and he asked the staff to take it out for me onto a table! I was thankful! There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is free WiFi. The patisserie is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom. There is free parking in the resort. There are two high chairs for little children. Review 2024-203

Full Tea for 2 ($65) includes: Tea, savory mini sandwiches, assorted sweets, whipped cream, assorted fruits. ** They didn't have mini sandwiches, but we got to choose a hot pressed sandwich from the bakery display, and they sliced it for us ^^ I'd also recommend: * Lychee Green Tea (teapot) * Roast Beef Mushroom Melt * Brie, Arugula, Prosciutto Be sure to make a reservation via phone for afternoon tea experience. Good for small groups of 2-3 people :) Limited indoor seating, outdoor patio also available. I personally think the afternoon tea experience is still very new, still need to work out some kinks. Overall, food was delicious, and my family had a lovely time together :)

A lovely experience: cute store front and inside. Lots of choices of goods: savory and sweet, and they all look good which is a good first impression. Then you taste them and it verifies that they not only look good but are well made and taste delicious. They had pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts), and they were very good (still not as good as the ones you eat in Portugal). They have a wide selection of butter tarts and they are well made and tasty. Their giant merengues are what a merengue should be: crunchy on the outside with a chewy center. They have a nice selection of quiches: individual size and regular size. They also sell their quiches frozen. We tasted a couple of their quiches and they were outstanding.
