Tim is an all-purpose handyman who I contacted for a small plumbing  job replacing rotting pipe parts for a kitchen sink. He responded quickly and came over a couple of hours later and discovered another problem that I hadn't noticed. After a quick trip to Crest Hardware, he completed the job in a matter of minutes. They quoted me a price with a non-refundable deposit of 100$ late July and when I was finally able to start the work in September they said they had to take another estimate before they could start as the pricing may change? So they came and took another estimate yesterday, told me how much paint to buy, started the job, took an entire day to paint half a bedroom and then wanted to charge me an extra 100$ for the baseboard which was their recommendation only to paint! I didn't ask them to do it!! The painter was here all day, claimed he had not had dinner so asked if I had cookies after I had fed him a breakfast? So I kindly gave him food, iced tea, "high tea" practically to which he didn't even say THANK YOU??! And then at the end, after finishing half the room he says he had to go which was fine, I figured we'll get the job done another day. However, he rudely scurried out of the house, scratched my floor moving my furniture and was angry and rude saying he started the job late and it was my fault! This was after he ate and used the toilet at my house!! the owner was unkind, wanted to charge add'l funds so I refused to continue the painting job and had to call Venmo as I was stupid enough to pay these people in cash! If you want a pricey, moderate, incomplete job for which you will have to shell out extra $ for someone else to finish off, this is the outfit for you. Example: charged me $75 to pull down 5 blinds which a teenager could have removed in 2 minutes per blind. But left the busted blinds in the middle of the apartment because they had not specified that they would haul them away! Left hooks in the ceiling areas and just painted around them as they had not specified that they will remove hooks. Have never had such a bad experience with any such outfit, or been nickeled and dimed like this. All this for a $4,500 job to basically paint an 800+ SF apt. read more

He texted me when he was coming, had brought all the right tools and replacement parts for my kitchen sink and fixed it at a great price. I wasn't sure what to expect hiring a handyman for several wide-ranging projects (picture hanging, bathroom fixture installation and water pressure resolution) but relied on the reviews and am glad that I did. Tim showed up on time, masked and with a backpack full of the right tools for the job. He was able to hang heavy wall art and smaller pictures alike - we felt comfortable that he knew what he was doing on our newly plastered walls.
