For the most part our experience was good but be aware you need to be on your toes when negotiating as some of their procedures or perhaps my experience was somewhat preditory. We have had a bit of a nightmare with cars lately (not Mazdas) ranging from going down a financial black hole with a used car we had and dealing with a buyback from another dealer on a lemon. Cars were stressing me out and we decided to help my son out by assisting with a purchase of a newer vehicle. We were drawn in by what seemed to be a great deal on a certified preowned vehicle at Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne. I had read that there was a lot of hidden fees so once my son was interested, I went back and spoke to the sales department on what the true price of these vehicles were. There was a certified vehicle listed for around 25K and when I first inquired, they didn't disclose any additional fees. When I went back to verify another sales person told me there was a near 3K non negotiable certification fee. If it isn't negotiable, it should be disclosed and nowhere that was reasonable was that the case. Now the certified vehicle was near cost of a new base model (probably their intention). At my ends whit, we decided to purchase a new base model and I showed the ad to the sales person which vehicle we were interested in. This is the point we were fully taken advantage of. My sales guy (who we liked) wasn't there yet and the Sales manager Juan was helping us. I showed him the car we wanted in the ad. I told him, I was going to lend my son some of the downpayment to get the payment to one he could afford. We worked with downpayment amounts until we got to the right number. What I didn't know or was ever told was he added 3 extra things to the price that I wasn't offered that was over $1100. That was $1100 I would not have had to put down. These items were for Red Alert?, Theft protection and an oil change program that didn't even apply to my vehicle. FYI, If they add these items, they can be found on page 2, sec 4 letter I of the contract. I trusted their integrity but This was very deceptive. I also told them I did not want to discuss an extended warranty with finance as we had no interest in it yet and regardless I was nearly in an argument with finance about this. They also do all contract stuff on a computer screen that was hard for me to read. My finance gal once we got past the warranty stuff was accommodating but she failed to send me the contract and I had to reach out the next day to get it. All in all my experience was good and would have been great if they didn't add fees without my knowledge. I worked with finance and Jordan and Brinlee tried to remedy issues. Unfortunately it took 4 months to finally close the door on this due to several issues in accounting. Even once things were done, only part was returned to principal, the larger part to payments accruing interest. It was maddening and honestly a less detailed person would never noticed they were being ripped off. In the end, Brinlee and Jordan made it right and I am grateful for their patience with the situation as they were not responsible for the indiscretions. In Summary, the sales people seem great. Finance was good. There must be pressure on the team for added services, perhaps bonuses or penalties they get selling crap you don't want. It is one thing to be offered, another to deceptively add things not listed on the sticker price and not tell you. All in All, If you come in expecting a "Buyer Beware" situation, you should have a good experience. It truly shouldn't be that way but some will say, "What would you expect from a car dealership" and I would say, honesty and integrity as done by other dealerships in the immediate area. read more

Purchase your car or have it serviced elsewhere, this is not an honest company. The first agent I worked with shared completely false financing information (telling me only brand new cars were available for financing options) which I knew was a lie because I was pre approved by MACU, who they partner with. Upon purchase they stated the car was detailed and had protection coatings applied. The vehicle was very clearly not cleaned, let alone detailed when I received it which leads me to believe neither service was as actually preformed. I asked them to re-detail my car, which they said they did, however yet again it was clearly not cleaned. I would not trust this company to be honest with any service they provide. The car had been fine, however every interaction I had with employees left a lot to be desired. If you are a woman, expect them to take advantage of you. read more

Unethical predatory business practice. Salesman was rude. Finance manager was pushy, forced to pay $600 for an extra taillight that was already installed before we even looked at the car. Took 43 days to notify their failure to secure financing, then tried to change the terms when we decided to return the car suddenly they could secure financing but would be more than the agreed terms. Decided to return the car because of the lack on communication and clarity they charged 58 cents a mile and STOLE the down payment. General manager refused to take my calls and the finance manager Benjamin would only repeat "everything we did was legal" RUN AWAY do not use them! read more

Frustrating Experience - Proceed with Caution I came in to trade my older Mustang for a newer one. The salesperson was friendly at first, but once we started discussing terms, the experience quickly soured. My trade was undervalued, I couldn't get clear info on loan terms, and the back-and-forth with the manager was frustrating. I left after feeling insulted by a final "offer" that seemed more condescending than serious. The next day, they reached out and convinced me to come back. I agreed to buy the car on the condition that three issues would be fixed: the engine cover, a TPMS sensor issue, and a problem where the transmission wouldn't register "park." I was told I'd be contacted once the engine cover arrived to fix all three at once. A week later--no word. I had to chase down the service department myself, only to find out nothing had been ordered or scheduled. After more back-and-forth, I finally got a service appointment, requested an oil change as well, and dropped the car off. What followed was two weeks of delays, excuses, and almost zero communication. The car was moved to a Ford dealership for diagnosis, but even they struggled to get approval from Mazda. I ended up making all the calls myself just to get answers. When I asked to void the contract and get my trade-in back, they finally ordered the part and rushed the job. While the car was returned by the promised date, the engine cover was still missing bolts, the oil change wasn't done, and I missed a detailing appointment I had scheduled, losing my deposit. For every helpful person here, there's someone equally careless. This experience left me with serious doubts about their service and support. I now have a "lifetime" warranty on the car, but honestly, I'm worried about ever needing to use it. read more

Chris, a service rep, has been awesome to work with. Super friendly and customer focused and knows a lot about Mazdas. Nat in sales was really helpful in showing me cars. But the service department as a whole just isn't well run compared to my experiences with Toyota and Honda dealers in the same city. Service at Dahle seems to take longer and cost more. Also, when I bought a new car here the finance guy went way over the top with high-pressure tactics to get me to buy an extended warranty and other add-ons. Just totally turned me off of anything that says "Dahle" on it. I do like my actual Mazda vehicle though! read more

My husband and I bought a car from this dealership, and it is run like a sleazy used car lot, and the level of incompetence is mind-blowing. The salesman told us NOTHING about the car we purchased. Fortunately, my husband is a car person, so he already knew almost everything about the car we were buying. The only thing the salesman said about the car was when my husband told me there was a subwoofer in the back, and the salesman replied, "Oh yeah, there is a subwoofer in the back...". They offered no deal, and I watched the sales lead be a complete jerk to a woman who was asking for $500 off, and she just eventually left, and I wished we would have done the same. We ordered the tint, and the salesman was supposed to schedule that for us, which he never did. Then he eventually called and told us he was told to call us regarding our tint and to bring it in Friday. Come Friday service there was no appointment scheduled and we couldn't just schedule with them because our salesman needed to... and he apparently didn't do and didn't know how to. This led to a day of me being on the phone throughout the whole day to schedule this (for a different day) because I couldn't make the appointment with service, only the salesman could, so that was a waste of a day. We eventually brought our vehicle to be tinted and detailed at 8 a.m. in the morning. It came around 6 p.m., and I called about the status since no one called us, and no one was there. Eventually, I talked to a salesman, and was told it was never done. Come the next day, they finally tinted our vehicle and they only did a car wash and no detail. There were footprints on our floor mats when I picked it up. I am writing this review for those who read these to warn you about how horrible and frustrating our experience was. I have never been this upset about buying a car. There is so much more I could write about, but everything was awful, and no one knew how to do anything.... My suggestion is if you're dead set on buying a Mazda, you're better off driving to the bountiful dealership because they were better than this place with the last car we bought or check out Honda or someplace else. I'm not surprised at all the awful reviews of this place, and I wish I had listened. read more

Stay away from this sketchy dealership with a ten foot poll unless you want to be threatened of physical harm. The normal sales people are really helpful, especially Braxton, but the deal desk and management are sketchy AF. Will attempt to screw you over on every single aspect of the deal. When you ask to leave a dozen time they will refuse to give you your keys. I was sitting in the dealership today when I overheard a negotiation with another customer. It seemed that they were pretty far away in the negotiation and the customer had asked to leave. He was standing there for multiple minutes before a manger came out and continued to pressure him. He continued to ask for his keys multiple times. Even after the keys were given they were pressuring him. Eventually another guy walked over said he needed to leave or that he would knock him out on the showroom floor. I ended up walking out after I overheard this. I don't believe that business should threaten people with physical harm if they call them out on being sketchy. This dealership is very deceitful and a bunch lies do not do business with them I purchased a 2018 Escalade with about 45k miles on it so this is what the car came with that I had shipped to me when it got to my house. *The contract I signed had about 45k miles not almost 52k miles, for me that more than a years worth of driving. *The windshield is cracked which I think was deliberately not disclosed until the very last minute when transport arrived and they said they'd cordonate with safe lite to fix. *A sizable hole in the driver side carpet. *The right rear door on the passenger side gets stuck when you open it. *The rims are scuffed up pretty bad. *The back top tail light doesn't work and is filled with water. *The left head rest on the 3rd row seats is broken. *The carpet between the 2nd row and 3 row is not secure and flaps up. *There is what looks like 2 cigarette or lighter burns on the same door that is difficult to open on the arm rest, *The car also smells like mold/mildew. *The arm rest behind the driver side is extremely hard to lift up put down and has a size able hole on the side of it. *Not all the tires are matching. * The leather is more worn than my 2009 with over double the miles on it. *The air vent in the 3rd row top on the left side is broken so I can't control it back there for my kids. * There is gum in the corner of the driver side hand rail where the window panels are at that is stuck to the side. * Cracks on both sides of the Captain seats in the back. *Numerous dents, dings, holes and scratches around the vehicle. *There is plastic sticking out of the top of the TV/Nav screen. I haven't had a chance to check all the outlets and chargers, the computer components to make sure those are all properly functioning, as I've been very busy with work, my grandmother funeral and my sons bday so I'm hoping to do that today so it's possible I still find more underlying issues that were not disclosed to me. Yet I was charged something like 2800 for a "car wellness package to ensure the car had all working components to it." They said my vehicle wasn't in expected condition? First off I'm not a mechanic your dealership has working mechanics, my car is mechanically sound, and looks good so we can do tit for tat cause the one I bought is far worse in condition "than I expected" and it's only 5 years old my car is 15 years old the wear and tear on my vehicle is expected and nothing out of the ordinary for a vehicle of its age. I've been calling and texting and they don't want to respond I'm returning this vehicle and never do business with a Tim Dahle dealership ever again!!! read more

I looked at purchasing a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne. They had told me that they had performed an inspection on the truck, which they said they had performed minor maintenance. I asked the salesman Nate that I needed them to take it to the Dodge dealer to have an independent inspection. Nate told me that he would take the truck in on Friday, which he never did and sent me a text that he would take it in on Saturday morning. I did not hear anything from Nate Saturday through Tuesday of the next week. Even though I had sent messages on truck update. Nate finally got back in touch with me to let me know that he had another buyer come in on Sunday and took truck to independent mechanic. The mechanic said that both manifold gaskets were bad and needed fixed. Nate said that they were planning on fixing manifold gaskets, but buyer could not get approved to buy truck. Nate finally took the truck to Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Sandy, which is the dealer I wanted to perform an independent inspection. The dodge dealer found "12 items failed Needs immediate attention" 1. Oil Change " The oil change gauge was at 13%" 2. Brake Fluid Exchange 3. Throttle body service,Engine decarbon,& Fuel injection flush 4. Wiper Blade Replacement 5. Engine Air Filter Replacement 6. Bulb - Third Brake Light 7. Brake Job - Front (Replace Pads and Rotors) 8. Brake Job - Rear (Replace OEM Pads/Shoes and Rotors/Drums) 9. Control Arm - Upper: FOUND THAT BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE UPPER BALL JOINT BOOTS HAVE TORN. ADVISE REPLACING BOTH UPPER CONTROL ARMS. WOULD REQUIRE ALIGNMENT AFTER REPAIRS. 10. Exhaust Manifold Gasket Replacement: FOUND THAT BOTH SIDES HAVE A BROKEN STUD ON THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK. Alignment - 4 Wheel: Alignment - Four Wheel. Required after ball joint replacement I sent Nate a text to find out, which items they would pay for. Nate called me back to let me know they would do none of these items besides manifold gaskets. I told Nate that if they won't even fix the other safety items, I would not be interested in truck. The items I requested to be fixed is (7,8,9,10 and 12). One of Nates managers called me back, which I explained the five items I expected fixed, which he said he agreed in the safety items, but would have to get back in touch with me. They finally called me back and said items 7 & 8, "The brakes were at 4 mils and that they disagreed with the pits in the rotors that the other dealer said needed to be fixed". Brakes are recommend to be changed at 3 to 4 mils. Tim Dahle is fine selling vehicles at the end of recommended brake life! Item 9 they said the rips in boots does not mean the arms will break even though mechanics agree this item needs to be fixed to prevent failures. Item 12 they wouldn't do because they think the hazard of line item 9 is not too bad. I would recommend never buying from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne which is a dealer that does not put safety above their clients. I am also sending over to the better business bureau as a complaint of improper business practices. I hope this helps other buyers! read more

Mykel did a fantastic job highly recommend working with him when shopping for your next car. I wasn't going to edit my review but I think it's fair to let management and future customers know this. Originally I was going to review this place 5 stars. Mykel was an excellent sells rep, even after we agreed on a fair price they let me know they were including a 1 year free car maintenance, free car washes for life, forever warranty etc ( which they could have easily not tell me) . So with this I was going to give a 5 star review but then I met with financial rep Jared. If management would like return business from me and I would say I highly recommend sending Jared to customer service training. Response like "this dispute is just for $33 dollars forget it I'll just pay it for you " or " I have other customers waiting, you can go back " ( when there was no other people waiting) or "this is going to take way longer" ( my wife was nursing my son). Please feel free to check the camera recording, apparently our meeting was recorded. I honestly just thought Jared was having a bad day and was stressed with the end of the month so I was going to let these comments go. But coming back to handle our last payment, he still had a bad attitude and poor customer service. This is probably one of the most dishonest dealers I've dealt with. I dont normally write reviews but I would hate for someone to go buy a car from them without a heads up. I bought a car 2 months ago and recently found out that it had some damage that was undisclosed to me. Not only undisclosed, but flat lied to. I asked to see a car fax report on the car I was buying. The salesman pulled it up almost weirdly fast. I should have questioned it but I believed him that it was true. I asked if this car had any known damage. The answer was that there had been no damage and the salesman- Chris- "stands by every car he sells". Flash forward to a week ago, my car wouldn't start. I figured I had left a light on or something. I went to pop the hood to charge the battery The hood would not open at all. I called Chris, the man that "stands behind every car he sells" and he gave me the run around that he could call the shop to see if they noticed anything while they were doing the initial intake of the car and get back to me with a way to fix it or be able to get it open for now. Of course I knew he was probably lying and had no intention of calling me back, which he never did. I took the car to my local shop to see what the problem was with the hood. They found that the car had probably had front end damage in the past and that's why the latch was not connecting right. The Tim Dahle shop would have 100% seen this if they had actually done the oil change and intake like they said they did. So they either never touched the car or they flat lied to me. The people are nice, but it has taken over two months to finalize my lease buyout after spending 5 hours in their office speaking with real people. Because of this delay, from what I understand to be on the part of the financial services team here - I had two back payments on the car thru Mazda financial services. This was never communicated to me in any way - and thus was reported as a late payment - dropping my credit score over 60 points and piling on late fees. I've sent daily texts and e-mails to this group in an attempt to reconcile, but two months later, I'm still trying to untangle the mess. read more

They were not transparent. I called Geoff and he didn't return my call so Jack contacted me. I told him the issues I had. No response from Jack for 2 days so I had to go in to discuss the issues because I knew they were dragging their feet on this. They told me the walkout and price, and when contract was written up it was way above the agreed price. We went in expecting the online price but ended being charged more. Why would I agree to pay more than the advertised price? No normal person would ever agree to that. It turns out the"walkout" price they gave me was the selling price. When the Brandon said that we are signing for the "walk out" price, thats what I assumed I was signing for, he failed to mention was that I really signed to pay more than the price advertised. All I was asking was to refund the difference since we thought the price we signed for was the "walk out" price. They refused to issue the refund because the paper we signed (which Brandon assured us it was the walkout price) was actually an agreement to pay more than the asking price. Had he made that clear we easily would have walked away from the deal. Geoff on the other hand added a warranty knowing well that we didn't want any of the warranties. In fact he asked "You said No to all the warranties." I said "Yes we didn't want the warranties." We got the refund processed but I had to go in there to get it. This should have been a simple phone call and a few emails. Josh the sales manager was no help. Basically came to meet with me to tell me he couldn't help me until the next day. I show up he wasn't there. Adam is hiding behind all these contracts that were signed under false presumptions. Flexing his pieces of paper as if I cared. All I was asking was for them to do the right thing. Thats not what Adam did. Adam made a comment "You are aware the check is going to the bank?" as if I'm trying to get a check for my personal bank account. This is about doing the right thing. That's it. Adam offered to take off the difference if I decided to get another car with them. That was laughable. I will never go back to this place. All my family, friends and followers on all my social media will never go to this place. Apparently no one that works there could really help me. It should've been an easy fix. I bought another car the following week from LHM Ford and everything went smoothly. You guys have lost a lot of business. I'm disappointed at the poor service and all the inconvenience I had to go through and hope no one else goes through what I went through. This is the most dishonest dealership I have ever delt with. I went with my mom to look at a car they put online. The night before she test drove it and she really liked it but the car had not been detailed and the windshield was cracked they said they would fix all that and then when it came down to price they were trying to add on an additional $1,500 for servicing the car. Thank goodness my mom did not sign because she wanted to think about it and when she came out she learned when they serviced it, that it was just an oil change. Like seriously and then when my mom asked them what all they services the salesman mark (who was super rude and pushy) could not give her an answer. I was trying to convince my mom lets go somewhere else but she was on such a crunch time because she was in an accident and because of the insurance she only had a few more days left with the rental but I begged her not to settle. And then she told the salesman she wanted to feel good about it and he said its not about feeling good its about the car and then told her he had like 8 other people looking at the car. So they were trying to sell the car for like $22,000 and told my mom the car was worth $26,000 so she was getting a great deal and then when we looked at the kelly blue book it was only worth $19,000-$20,000 trade in and my mom said oh hell no and she walked out thank goodness. Ended up going to LHM Chevrolet and everything went amazing and she felt good about her car. But I hope no one EVER goes there to buy a car. They only care about the sale and not about their customers read more
