I finally tried this place and it was actually very good! I was surprised by the line, but it did move fairly quickly. As a New Yorker, I can be pretty particular about my bagels and almost gave this four stars because it's not necessarily an exceptional bagel in terms of the bread, but it does deserve five stars because of the uniqueness of the flavors. I have never once in my life seen bagel flavors like tomato grilled cheese where the dough itself has the flavor! It was truly amazing. And then for cream cheese I got the caramelized onion flavor which tastes mostly like your classic scallion. I really enjoyed the bagel overall and also appreciated them putting just the right amount of cream cheese! I'm really excited to come back and try some of their other cool flavors like the chili crisp one?!
Awesome bagels! Good sized, flavorful and chewy. Really enjoyed these. Some seating inside but was packed on a weekend morning so wasn't able to snag a table. Ordered online pickup and there were limited choices in terms of bagel availability - however when I picked it up, behind the counter it seemed like they had all bagel flavors in stock. Wish I didn't do the online order since it limited my options... just something to think about if you're ordering online. In terms of flavors really enjoyed the cacio e Pepe bagel

I got pick up from here to avoid the line, which is always long on the weekend! The bagels were fluffy, and the cream cheese was dense. I got the sesame bagel which came with white and black sesame seeds. And I had the jalapeño cream cheese on it. My partner got the lox bagel on an everything bagel, and thought it was too salty. My child got a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and thought it was fine. I also got a cold brew and my partner got the banana foster cold brew which tasted like those little banana candies. It was interesting! Because of the line I did think it would be incredible, and it was good but I would not wait in that line.

Daily special grilled cheese bagel for me, and get this- JPG giardiniera cream cheese. Shout out to Jim for yet another delicious partnership-bringing my favorite giardiniera to a bagel. Genius!

Online ordering for pickup is super easy, which is a big big plus in winter and for families w kids. We ordered the Crispy Potato & Chorizo sandwich (Tilly Crisp with Honey Vanilla cream cheese), the Veggie sandwich (Tomato Grilled Cheese bagel with Honey Vanilla CC), and an Egg & Cheese on the Chicago bagel with Caramelized Onion CC, plus a few extra bagels, cold brew, and a latte. Every bagel sandwich was a hit -- flavorful, satisfying, and comforting. We'd absolutely come back!
My partner and I decided to stop by for breakfast since it was super close to our stay. Needless to say- such a friendly and comfy spot, especially on a rainy day. Food & drink: (4/5) I don't think I'm a huge fan of bagels in general but these were definitely one of the better ones that I've had! We got the garlic rosemary bagel with lox, and the bagel of the week (cardamom) with blueberry cream cheese. The bagels themselves weren't too dense, which seems to be the problem that I usually have. I did take off one point because I felt like the flavors weren't too stand-out. I probably wouldn't come back by myself but would enjoy it if my partner wanted to go again. Service: (5/5) The people here are also so friendly! You can feel the positive energy the moment u walk in. Love. Other notes: I'm not sure if this is standard but I really liked the area where you can add honey, syrups, and milks to anything. Where I'm from, these typically come with additional charge.
Amazing bagel shop in Chicago. Fluffy and fresh made bagels. Really filled with ingredients. The Tilly Bagel has some spice to it with a good chili crisp flavor. The potato inside was like freshly made hash brown with its own good taste of its own and well seasoned. Caramelized onion cream cheese itself doesn't have the onion flavor, it tbh tasted like a regular cream cheese so doesn't shine through. Rosemary garlic bagel was also just a hint of Rosemary not very potent. Good texture.
So so good! Perfect for sharing. The lox were so fresh and the bagel tasted like it just came out of the oven (which it basically did). Obsessed with the interior decorating and color scheme. Highly recommend!
WOW! The new bagel the smoked brisket is incredible. Honestly one of the best bagels I have had. In order online and I'm able to pick up within an hour. I got the smoked brisket, tomato grilled cheese bagel, caramelized onion cream cheese and added a hash brown. The brisket is cooked incredibly, so tender. The added hash brown also was a game-changer. Please keep this on the menu forever, I am obsessed!

I was truly impressed with my bagel from Tilly's today! I tried their bagel of the week and added bacon and chive cream cheese and bacon. The bagel was delicious and the perfect density. Just the right amount of cream cheese and bacon was thick and cooked very well.

Yes yes yes. The bagels are so chewy and I love the combos that they have as opposed to just the typical LOX combo. The bagels came out pretty quickly and the cashiers were kind which is always a plus. Smaller seats for children. Lovely little bagel place. The only downside I see is that they use white flour as opposed to whole wheat. And they don't have a lot of sugary options available (like cinnamon crunch, blueberry, etc). But America needs less sugar so it's all good. read more
Prior to this location opening up, i visited their south loop location. The bagels were good but the wait time even online is insane. Over an hour for a couple of bagels. Didn't really feel like dealing with that especially in the south loop with no parking. Then they opened up this location, with the same insane crazy wait times. Parking is still challenging in the Fulton Market area but not as bad as the south loop. Fortunately for me, I was prepared for that and ordered an hour ahead. We arrived right around the promised time and they had just finished bagging our order. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel, a plain bagel with blueberry and a Chicago bagel with giardiniera. All the bagels were good, but this Chicago bagel with giardiniera was different. And different in a good way. The spice from the Giardiniera was perfect. I would have preferred more of a relish type of the giardiniera mixed in with the cream cheese instead of thicker pieces of peppers but overall a tasty bagel the would get again. read more
BREWS and VIEWS We flew in overnight. Tired and all we needed was COFFEE. Looked up great spots and this did NOT disappoint! Im not a city girl...but this felt completely out of what I would expect from a suburb/city coffee spot. We walked in and the cute ambiance....the overwhelming yummy selection...it was perfect! The crispy potato with chorizo bagel was SO good. I picked the Cacio e Pepe bagel with jalapeno cream cheese and the combo was the perfect balance. The bagel was loaded with crispy potato and lots of chorizo which I appreciated. I love that you can really customize your bagels here. It was pretty busy on a Saturday AM but line moved pretty fast. There's seating inside but can be limited on weekend AMs, however, a walk around the block isn't bad too! Definitely stopping by again for my next bagel fix. read more

Bacon egg cheese on tomato grilled cheese bagel w/ Sun dried tomato cream cheese Great flavor and chew in both bagels. I loved the fluffy egg. The recommended cream cheese for our breakfast sandwiches were very good. The only weak point was bacon - overcooked and dry. Friend's latte is comparable to Starbucks. No issues with service. Got the crispy potato with chorizo bagel sandwich with hash browns, chorizo, scallions, and salsa verde on an everything bagel. Hands down one of the best bagel sandwiches I've had in a long time. Everything was hot, crispy, flavorful, and the bagel had that perfect balance of chewy and soft. It was messy in the best way. I also got a matcha but the way they do it is kind of a DIY situation. They hand you a plain matcha and send you to a little syrup bar to customize it yourself. Cute idea but not helpful if you don't know how to make matcha. I had no clue how much syrup to add and ended up with something that tasted off. Next time I'll probably skip the matcha or ask if they can just make it for me. Cool vibe overall though. Chill spot to sit and eat. The sandwich alone is worth coming back for. read more

Came here around lunch and got the chicken Caesar bagel sandwich and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and super quick with the turnaround of the sandwiches. So we were in & out. Now let's get into this bagel.. it was HUGE! And all the ingredients paired well with one another. I got it on a cacio e Pepe bagel with bacon & chive cream cheese. It was stunning! I could only eat one half because the sando is too big for just one sitting. Would recommend trying them out. read more

Stopped by after seeing another location in the city that had quite the crowd. This location also had a line when we got there, but it moves pretty quick! The staff is super friendly and cool. I ordered an everything bagel with bacon, egg, and vegan cream cheese. The bagel itself was pretty thick!! It was yummy, but I think I could've gone without the vegan cream cheese, it almost felt like a big glob of butter, but other than that my bagel was good! Obviously you can't compare Chicago bagels to NY, but if you're looking for a good bagel this is it! Seating is limited, but it's a cute little spot. read more

I've been to the south loop location many times and was in the west loop area so I had to stop in. The inside definitely reminds me of the south loop spot. We were happily greeted and our order was taken in no time. I went with the bagel of the week which was blueberry French toast with sausage, egg, and cheese along with honey vanilla cream cheese. We were fortunate to beat the rush and our bagels were out super fast. That first bite feeling is real. So good! read more

The staff were super nice unfortunately the bagel did not live up to the hype. The ingredients were fresh and the egg and sausage were seasoned well but the cacio e pepe bagel lacked flavor. The onion cream cheese had more flavor than the bagel. The texture was ok and it had an ok crust but i don't know if I'd be running back. read more

best bagels i've had in chicago hands down. twas by far one of the best bagel places ive been to, prolly takes second place after apollo bagels but still so slay id bend over for this place. the texture was the right amount of bouncy and the cacio e pepe crust omgggg. paired with literally the perfect ratio of cream cheese. this is a place i would go out of my way for if i was anywhere near the chicago area. i actually wanted to go here again the second time i went to IL but it was closed i genuinely was so sad. anyways i need this bagel again pls open in dallas. read more
It was my first one trying Tilly Bagel and it was good, the wait wasn't too long and the staff behind the counter were so nice. I got the Caesar salad bagel with caramelized onions and Caio e Pepe bagel. It does get busy in the morning sometimes once I walked through the door. They do have a variety of bagel options to choose from and there's seating inside as well. read more

We stopped at Tilly Bagel Shop while doing an impromptu bagel tour. The lox bagel was incredible, fresh dill and capers with a good amount of lox. The bagel itself was chewy and thick. Out of all the places we tried, we rated this bagel number 1! Definitely will be returning read more
