I give 2 stars because Ms. Gina is an amazing infant teacher that's underpaid and over worked! My…read morechild seized to know I still existed when I dropped her off at sunshine because Ms. Gina was so loving to her and she loved the other kids attending there. As for everything else, as a first time mom and first time daycare experience, everything was way below par. First of all, they fed my child things I never brought for her or that I approved for her to eat. On one of her first weeks she was apparently given a cupcake around 8 months old. Then I found corn in her poop (that I never packed for her to be served). It has to be the dirtiest daycare I have ever seen. The bottle warmers looked like they hadn't been cleaned in about a year. Every time I came to pick her up her bottle was on the dirty floor and uncapped with her trying to get it when she wasn't even able to hold it up on her own yet. She was sick the entire month and a half she was there. They tried to tell me its normal and I know for a fact it isn't because she's never gotten sick once at her current daycare. Their daycare is so dirty that it wouldn't be possible for a baby use to a clean house to stay well. She finally got better once she quit attending sunshine in March during covid 19. On top of that, they offered me a special off $99 a week for 4 weeks but failed to ever tell me I could bring her full time for the $99 special (we signed up for part time daycare). Then when I mentioned it to them that no one told me, they never offered to remedy the situation until I told them I was upset and something needed to be done. So then they made me pay the balance of left over for part time for $120 (which added up to $80) and told me I could do the 4 weeks of full time for $99 after that. So then, after 2 weeks of no services due to COVID 19 and after paying $120 because they forced me to on March 13, I have yet to be refunded or ever get my money back for not getting the other two weeks of $99. I emailed them 3 times from March to May and never got a response. So essentially they provided sub par, dirty facility care, stole about $200 from me, fed my child random food I never approved of, caused her to stay extremely sick, and never called me back or handled anything professionally. So yes, if you want all these things above, choose Sunshine.

FOOD ALLERGY/SPECIAL NEEDS PARENTS - Do not put your kids here. My son attended pre-k here. I came…read moreacross something today that rehashed my entire experience and how bad it was. I couldn't not write a review. Food allergy issues: They are extremely particular about what they allow you to pack your kid for lunch. My son is allergic to dairy. The school is VERY conscious of nut allergies but did not give two craps about his dairy allergy. I could not pack him virtually any basic snacks like organic vegan "cheezits", organic veggie straws, ketchup packets, etc.. They nitpicked something in his lunchbox on a weekly basis. As if having a preschooler with a food allergy isn't hard enough!! They said it was because they didn't allow foods that were processed in the same facility as nuts but 1- I sent them labels for the foods that show where it says "nut free facility" and 2- if they care so much about being nut free, why didn't they care about my sons allergy?!? Then there were the parties. At Christmas, the ONLY food my child could eat was the snack I signed up to bring. Many of the foods could have easily been made a dairy-free option. Like instead of Doritos, having regular or BBQ lays chips. But the teachers didn't care enough to put in the effort to make the Christmas party inclusive. My son attended private 3yo pre-k at a church and is now in 1st grade. Our experience in pre-k at New Odyssey was by far the worst as far as dealing with his allergies in school goes. His other teachers have been incredible. This place acted inconvenienced and I often felt singled out. Only reason I didn't leave was because nowhere else had a pre-k opening. They allow high schoolers to park in their parking lot. One of them backed into my nanny while she was waiting in the carpool line. Thankfully no kids were in the back seat!! Do you think they banned the teen from parking there?? Nope. The daycare owner didn't even seem to see what the big deal was or understand why I was so upset. She didn't even call me. It took her 2 days to call me back after I called her. It is careless and irresponsible. The other reviewer is right. Jennifer at the front desk has a bad attitude. That seems to be pretty standard among daycare front desk staff though. So, if your child has food allergies or other special needs, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. These people don't go the extra mile.

It is scary leaving your child with complete strangers, entrusting them in their care......New Odyssey understood my worries and never once did I feel like my child was a number. Miss Isabel was the first person I ever left my child with at New Odyssey and I fell in love with her care and with New Odyssey!! Tricia, Jennifer, and Cathy are amazing and have always listened and never judged me for any questions I have asked over the years. I was sad we could never do after care when my son started school, but he still loves to go to New Odyssey in the summer and any chance he can get!! They always make sure he has sunblock on in the summer and water available year round. Thank you New Odyssey for all these wonderful years and being part of my son's childhood!! Add to list Edit

One of the most dysfunctional places Iv ever been, security is a joke, and Elizebeth the director is beyond unprofessional . The people actually watching the kids are very nice but not a place I'd ever feel safe leaving our child. It was so bad they offered to give us first week free and an employee called to apologize for how bad it was. Unless they change how they run the entire company I would never recommend anyone to trust Cedars to care for your children.

I can't say enough good things about the infant care team there. Paula and Ms. Nay are 10/10. Even Mrs. Rachel the assistant director has been nothing short of amazing. I never thought I would have to write a review on this matter. The new director is just not good. I had to pull my son out of the daycare unexpectedly due to some unfortunate circumstances with his new teacher. And let's just say I haven't received one phone call from the DIRECTOR about how my child is and if he is doing okay. Not one! The assistant director and the infant teachers have all reached out on the subject but not the new "director" I would have recommended this place through and through a couple of months ago but unless they do some hire up changes I wouldn't come back. PLUS THEY DECIDED TO RUN MY CARD WHEN MY CHILD DOESNT EVEN GO THERE ANY LONGER.
