All the owner Cassandra cares about is money NOT your kids and she's very rude. We notified them the first week of December that our family tested positive for Covid. They asked us to Quarantine which I completely understand. Than said we will not be able to bring our daughter back until we provided a negative Covid test for everyone in our household which in some instances can take weeks or even months to receive a negative test depending on the way your body reacts to the virus. " CDC guidelines were 10 day Quarantine at the time but no problem, we too want to ensure the safety of the other children and their families." They then told us after we provide a negative Covid test that we need to Quarantine our daughter for an additional 10 days, "Like What!?! We have jobs that we have to get back to which is why we have our daughter enrolled in daycare. Still no problem we will work around the daycares guidelines and find additional child care for the those days." After all of that we contacted the daycare when we were finally able to bring our daughter back and they proceeded to tell us that they replaced our daughters spot at the daycare with another child and that we will no longer be able to bring our daughter because they do not have any more room. At the same time telling us that we owe them $785 for the time that she was not there and they did absolutely nothing except replace our daughters spot to try and collect more money. They told us that they sent us a couple emails while we had Covid and said we needed to pay them or they were replacing our child. I'm sorry but Covid hit us pretty hard and the last thing we were thinking about was checking our email everyday to see if we still had childcare. I never received a phone call until the day before she was to go back to daycare at 4:00 pm and they told me that we can not bring our daughter in the next day!! Keep in mind every daycare in our area is currently full for infants with a minimum of 2-3 months wait time. The funny thing is I asked to speak with Cassandra (The Owner) because she had one of her employees call to break this news to me and we were told that she is on vacation and currently inaccessible to her email!!! Go figure, complete hypocrite!! We had our daughter there for 4-5 months, Ms, Shirley was great with our daughter but completely over worked. Many times they were short staffed and although they say their policy is 5 infants-to-1 teacher which is already a lot she was at many times watching a lot more. We were constantly fighting a diaper rash at home because it is physically impossible to change her as often as she needed to be with that workload. They would have trouble updating the app with feeding and changing times because they were so busy. And when we initially enrolled her we were told that we would receive photos posted through the app daily of our baby girl. NOT ONCE did they ever post a photo of her. This place is no where near worth the $1000 a month price tag!!!

Let me preface this review by saying the teachers and staff at this facility are excellent and not…read morethe problem. The issue with this facility is the owner. Due to a meaningless event, the owner decided that a personal vendetta would be an appropriate action to take in the form of an increase of fees by over 200% without formal notice. Additionally when calling to discuss this matter as adults, the owner proceeded to verbally assault me and hurl slanderous accusations. The interaction was so aggressive that people within my office could hear the conversation thru a headset. The owner of the facility turned the situation in to an assault on my children by indicating "she wanted nothing to do with them" and wanted to immediately know when their last day was going to be. Had the owner been mature with our interaction, the incident between her and I would have been simply "water under the bridge" but when she framed the situation and she turned our interaction violently personal, my choice was to find another location with people who look to appreciate kids and not view them as a matter of business. When running a establishment situated around children, concern for the business and children have to go hand-in-hand and the owner showed her true colors. The owner for this facility should have her license for this business revoked.

I should have stuck with her old school rather then trying out the free GA prek. From the beginning I never got the warm and fuzzys from anyone at discovery point. I felt like I was always just dropping my daughter off to play. Although, her teachers both were super nice I just never felt like she was really learning much. Now comes the real issue. This school charges $120 a month for lunch. Which I had no idea about because I didn't attend the open house. I only found out when I got an invoice in my daughters back pack 2 months into her being in school. Well if you do the math that's $6 a day. I bet the kids are eating like kings and queens for that amount, well you're wrong. I went to have lunch with her one day and she got 3 over baked chicken nuggets, a spoon full of smashed up peas and carrots, a spoon full of smashed up fruit and maybe 4 oz of milk. I looked around and saw 2 girls eating packed lunches from home. One child being a teachers daughter. When I spoke to the director Claire about it she said "first of all you have a balance and maybe your daughter just doesn't eat veggies." The veggies wasn't the problem the whole lunch is the problem. At home we eat pretty healthy and for me to send my daughter to eat this I'd rather just have her take her lunch. Well I was told that was not an option no kids are to bring in outside food. The owner Michelle called my husband and told him we needed to pay our balance, he let her know that we would be paying our balance but moving forward we wanted our daughter to bring in her lunch. Michelle let him know that was not an option and if he didn't like her services we could remove our child from that school. She complained about how shes losing money on this program and that these students lunches are to pay for her teachers. I picked up my daughter that day. And when I walked in I was asked if this means her spot should be filled? Michelle sent us an email on Oct 26th with our balance that was due on the 27th. On the morning of the 27th I received an email with a balance with over $100 in late fees and a threat of if not paid today I will add the Gwinnett County court fees on the next statement. I'm sorry but you can't do unless you take me to court. I went up on the 27th to make the payment that was due on the 27th and her and Claire both said that now I have a different balance. I told her I would pay was due on the 27th and nothing more. Of course she gave me an attitude and said what ever just pay the balance. These 2 ladies are running this like a business and not a facility where the kids and their needs come first. I know this is long but I would hate for this to happen to anyone else. I am just thankful that her old preschool made room for her. Although I am paying for private prek, I feel 100% better having my daughter at a place where she is not just a number and a paycheck.

If you have a concern it will not be addressed properly or professionally especially if you are not friends with the management. There is NO PROPER LATE POLICY and they can WITHDRAW YOUR CHILD FOR ANY REASON. THE TEACHERS EVEN COMPLAINED THAT MANAGEMENT DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. My child's teacher didn't even know she was withdrawn! Sandi Bryant, the director, and her superior regional director,Hope Anderson are two prejudice and lack luster employees of Cadence Education. I was running late on my birthday 10-24 and was called at 6:06pm by Sandi Bryant. I informed her of my location and that I would arrive shortly. She proceeds speaking to me in a condescending tone stating I need to call if I'm going to be late. I replied agreeing that if I were to be late again I would make sure to call. She responds frantically stating there may not be a next time because my child will be suspended. I asked her why would she be suspended when there's a late fee penalty of $1 per min. This was my 3rd time being late since august... her response was "this shouldn't have happened more than once!" If you are a working mother then you understand this happens occasionally and the last thing you need is a disgruntled employee taking their frustrations out on you because she has to stay late everyday. News flash‼ parents are late sometimes. We are in a populated area where traffic is extreme at times. Where is my grace as a parent?? Especially since I am going to be charged a fee anyway!!! I contacted HOPE ANDERSON who had zero urgency to even respond to my initial complaint. She did not respond UNTIL I THREATENED W/THE MEDIA. She was of no assistance and only further perpetuated the discrimination. She took the side of Sandi instead of actually investigating. I was told my child was withdrawn bc I had been late even though each occurrence was over 30 days from the last and because I had to be "called" for payments. There's no proof that they have EVER called due to a late payment especially when the TADPOLES app SENDS A PAYMENT REMINDER IN THE APP AUTOMATICALLY. Their policy states if no payment by Tuesday the child can not continue. My child NEVER missed a week. So how are those JUSTIFICATIONS for withdrawal?? THIS DAY CARE does NOT CARE ABOUT BLACK AND BROWN CHILDREN. I called CADENCE EDUCATION (headquarters)in Scottsdale's Arizona to make a complaint... No one answered from ANY DEPARTMENT nor did they return my messages. Here is proof that HOPE ANDERSON ONLY RESPONDED WHEN THREATENED WITH MEDIA ATTENTION.

FOOD ALLERGY/SPECIAL NEEDS PARENTS - Do not put your kids here. My son attended pre-k here. I came…read moreacross something today that rehashed my entire experience and how bad it was. I couldn't not write a review. Food allergy issues: They are extremely particular about what they allow you to pack your kid for lunch. My son is allergic to dairy. The school is VERY conscious of nut allergies but did not give two craps about his dairy allergy. I could not pack him virtually any basic snacks like organic vegan "cheezits", organic veggie straws, ketchup packets, etc.. They nitpicked something in his lunchbox on a weekly basis. As if having a preschooler with a food allergy isn't hard enough!! They said it was because they didn't allow foods that were processed in the same facility as nuts but 1- I sent them labels for the foods that show where it says "nut free facility" and 2- if they care so much about being nut free, why didn't they care about my sons allergy?!? Then there were the parties. At Christmas, the ONLY food my child could eat was the snack I signed up to bring. Many of the foods could have easily been made a dairy-free option. Like instead of Doritos, having regular or BBQ lays chips. But the teachers didn't care enough to put in the effort to make the Christmas party inclusive. My son attended private 3yo pre-k at a church and is now in 1st grade. Our experience in pre-k at New Odyssey was by far the worst as far as dealing with his allergies in school goes. His other teachers have been incredible. This place acted inconvenienced and I often felt singled out. Only reason I didn't leave was because nowhere else had a pre-k opening. They allow high schoolers to park in their parking lot. One of them backed into my nanny while she was waiting in the carpool line. Thankfully no kids were in the back seat!! Do you think they banned the teen from parking there?? Nope. The daycare owner didn't even seem to see what the big deal was or understand why I was so upset. She didn't even call me. It took her 2 days to call me back after I called her. It is careless and irresponsible. The other reviewer is right. Jennifer at the front desk has a bad attitude. That seems to be pretty standard among daycare front desk staff though. So, if your child has food allergies or other special needs, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. These people don't go the extra mile.
