They didn't show up the first time, because another job kept them longer. That's fine, just communicate that instead of letting me wait. I called the day after they didn't show up, they never contacted me. When he finally came out to give me an estimate, he gave me a date for the job. He didn't show up. Didn't call either. I would not recommend this company.

We hired them to do a yard clean up (we had a TON of leaves, sticks, and gum balls out there) and to lay down new mulch for us. Well, not only did he show up to the the quote quickly and was reasonably priced, but he was incredibly communicative and when the weather didn't go as planned for the day I was scheduled to get the work done, he came by in person to ask if they could reschedule and worked with my timeline. And on top of all that great customer support, the work is beautiful and above and beyond what I expected. They were clean and courteous and even swept my deck off which was not required at all. When it was done we walked around and chatted and it was all done to my very high standards. I highly recommend this team and will be hiring them again!

They are scammerS. They use dead sod and charge unreasonably high amount for lous work…read more We moved into our new home recently and the grass in front of our house was not in good condition so we hired them to plant new sod. First, the business owner gave me unreasonably high estimates of time required to finish the job. He said it will take 3 people 9 hours straigt to do that. I live in a townhouse and we only needed our front yard and very small area in our backyard done. I agreed because I didn't know. On the day of service, only 2 people were present at one time and one of them was the boss, mostly supervising so basically they put one guy to work and charged me for 3. The sod they put was brown even when they were putting it, when I mentioned that, they told me that's how it looks now but will become better with watering. They charged me $1500 for dead sod and one man's labor. After 2 weeks of watering like crazy, the grass is still dead in places. I called them, sent them text but they didn't reply, but when I called them from a different number they answered, which proves that I have been scammed. My neighbors did their own sod and that look way greener and fuller than my professionally done, super expensive sod. So take my advise and hire an actual professional. Please do your research on amount of time required and types of sod so they can fool you like they did to me.

We decided to get a quote from Rhine after they did a good job with tree maintenance/ removal and…read moreafter our neighbors recommended them. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. We paid $900 up front for the design document for a screened in porch and paver patio. Rhine doesn't provide design documents as part of the quote. You need to pay for it. Honestly the design document was nothing special; It was a 2D computer generated drawing, which I doubt could have taken the designer more than a day to develop. Also, we were told that we could use the design document with other contractors, but the document didn't include dimensions or measurements. Ultimately we didn't get a lot of value out of the design document, and we consider it a wasted expense. (Thank goodness we didn't pay the full rate of $1,800 for the design document!) Additionally, it took us several attempts to meet with the designer. He was a no-show for our first meeting (he had a personal emergency, which is understandable), but then it took several emails to land on a new appointment time. He was then late to the rescheduled appointment. We also requested design revisions via email, and we had to follow up several times to get an acknowledgment of our request, with additional follow up needed to actually get the revised version back. Finally, the quoted rate for our project compared to local competition was simply outrageous. The project cost range was about 1.5-3 times more expensive than quotes we got from other vendors. Additionally, other vendors provided 3D design renders at no cost as part of their quote. We asked what was the explanation for such a high quote: did this include all premium materials? We were told that the quote included standard materials, and that if we wanted to choose custom / premium materials, the price would go up from there. My sense was that the scope of the project was too small for them, so they quoted us something outrageous so we wouldn't go with them. But if that's the case, the business owner should have been up front with us that they only take on bigger projects before taking $900 for what wound up being a lackluster design document. Overall, we felt that we got little value from our quote process, compounded by lack of professionalism and lack of respect for our time with regard to our interaction with Rhine. If you own a multimillion dollar home and you have deep pockets then maybe Rhine will be more suited to your purposes. But it seems that Rhine is in a different market than smaller jobs for regular suburban homes in and around Ellicott City.

They came every two weeks to cut the grass but today will be there last day. While cutting her grass something flew and hit the glass on the front door and it shattered. She let them know and they came and looked. He explained his brother deal with glass work and windows and would he will repair it for free and he told her she wouldn't have to pay for the grass being cut this time due to the damaged. Once the door was repaired she noticed how the sliding part was hard to move around and let him know of that issue and he stated he will oil it for her then he asked for a payment for the grass being cut and she repeated what he told her about how the grass cut will be free. He replied back and said I just said that cause I was coming back to fix the glass. They talked back and forth about it and in a rude manner he told her she can find someone else to fix the door and the grass and left. My grandmother is a 85 year old women who lives on her own and I feel like they tried to get over on her for the damage they made...I will not recommend them to no one and will be letter others in the neighborhood who use them know of this behavior!
