Recently, I needed to move my possessions out of the storage spaces, pick up some extra large items at another location, and move everything to an out-of-state (WA) address. Nick showed up in person two weeks prior to assess the scope of work, estimate the size of truck needed and strategize the process. The estimate covered everything, including truck and gas, and was extremely competitive. As before, the execution was flawless: The crew showed up on time (including Nick personally), were very careful and precise in loading and securing the stuff, and finally placed everything in their final room/place at the new property. Nick even helped reassemble some furniture without having been explicitly asked. I have rarely seen this level of quality and care in any service. As can be imagined, I've had my share of mishaps with various deliveries and installations during this interstate move, and only wish others were as dedicated as Oregon Trail Moving. There were several concerns not written in this review to limit its size…read more We had EZ Move pack and load a container for a move from Oregon to Hawaii. The estimation process was good, and we felt comfortable after reading five star reviews and with the costs. We were told they always bid high to avoid having to ask for more, but it would probably be less. We hired a 40-foot ocean container which was parked at the mover's location. They would load a box truck and transport our items from our house and pack them into the container. On the first day of the packing, we noticed a few things we thought were not normal. Only medium size boxes, no dish packs or wardrobe boxes. The packers roamed around from room to room not packing a whole room at a time. We asked and were advised it was to prevent heavy boxes. After the first load to the container we asked if all our items would fit and were assured there is plenty of room. We asked this same question with each truck load and were assured each time that it was all going into the container. Come the final day of loading we were informed there was not enough room and we needed to prioritize what we wanted to be left out. Of course, we were shocked but moved the items to be left behind into our garage and forged ahead. We would need to arrange a separate shipment. After they had loaded what they could, and it came time to pay we were handed a handwritten bill that was half again what the estimate was not less. We asked why since they had not even finished the entire house and were told there was more items than they thought. We asked how. Hadn't they walked through the house and looked everywhere when estimating. We felt we had no choice but to pay as the container was on their property and we were concerned if we said no they would not let it leave until we paid. Yes, this sounds paranoid, but this is where our confidence was after four days with the company. We hired a professional moving company on the other end to unload the container. As they were unloading, they and we were shocked to find a lot of items loaded into the container loosely several broken or dented. The unpackers asked if we had loaded the container ourselves as it was so poorly loaded and said if the container had been professionally packed, we would have had at least ten foot of room in the container. This would have held what we left behind and saved us thousands $$ for the second shipment. As we emptied boxes, we found most things placed in boxes not wrapped or padded also with some items broken or damaged. Boxes labeled by room were placed in the new corresponding rooms but are loaded with stuff from all over the house making unpacking a challenge. And try finding something you need. Forget about it. We still have not found our forks and spoons so we bought new ones. We called EZ Move to advise them about the loose packing and damage. They said send pictures because this never happens with them but never offered to compensate or in any way make it right. Our advice if you decide to use this company is don't be trusting, don't count on professionalism, be ready for curveballs, make sure you have a backup plan, prepared to pay a lot more than the estimate.

All of my items that required wrapping and padding received such attention to detail and not one thing was damaged, not even slightly! They were organized, communicated with each other, maintained a sense of humor and finished the job in 3 hours. I have learned through multiple moves to not be drawn in by the cheapest price. Very disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving…read more Our move was scheduled for 9:00 AM, and we planned our entire day around that timeframe, including coordinating other people and vendors. Unfortunately, due to a staffing issue on All My Sons' end, the movers did not arrive until approximately 3:00 PM -- a six-hour delay. To be clear, I do not blame the movers who eventually came out. They were put in a difficult situation and did their best under the circumstances. My issue is with how All My Sons handled the situation and the lack of accountability for the significant disruption it caused. A six-hour delay is not a minor inconvenience when you have an entire move and other services scheduled around a specific start time. The delay disrupted our day and resulted in additional unexpected labor costs that we had to absorb. After the move, I emailed All My Sons to explain the situation and requested that management review what happened and consider some type of compensation or adjustment to our bill. I have received no response. Things happen, and I understand that unexpected staffing issues can occur. What is disappointing is that we were left to absorb the consequences of a six-hour delay caused by their staffing issue, and then our concerns were completely ignored when we reached out afterward. Based on our experience, I would expect much better communication, accountability, and customer service from a professional moving company.

Serious issues with my move. DO NOT chance moving with City Transport…read more The management, Trish was hostel and angry responding to everything in an angry, loud voice. I will even say historic. Very difficult to deal with, muddled. She came to my apartment after I called with my concerns. She was hostel when I opened the door she held a phone in my face saying she was recording everything. When she saw the choas she stopped videoing. Missing pieces to my CPAP machine and 25 gold and silver necklaces, one with diamonds in a locket missing. I feel taken advantage of as a senior woman, single and disabled. All the boxes in my new apartment was stacked against the cabinets and the floor with no room to walk around the kitchen or to unpack. The counters were stacked with the boxes, and two TVs a sewing machine, stuff that should have gone on the balcony. Large heavy boxes were stacked against tub I could not move, preventing taking a shower. There was a comforter in clear plasic bag on top of the boxes. All boxes was mixed up, kitchen stuff in the bedroom and visa versa. Mean spirited, spitfull. I had to put up with derogatory comments, complaing about that i had a lot of stuff, listening them telling nieghbors how hard they had it, attitude and being messed with for two days. My medical equipment, that was the only things on my bedside table were messed with. My CPAP was dismantled and pieces were missing. I had to replace the missing parts, costing, $350.00. My heart monitor was found in a clothing box. The $5,000 CPAP machine was put in a box, unwrapped, with bathroom stuff and embrodery. Embrodery was put in several other boxes, kitchen stuff etcetera,all over. My embrodery had been in a wire basket, neatly stacked. Wire basket, gone. I had several items damaged,storage containers smashed, furniture damaged, one of the selves of a book case missing. My China had two bowls broken. The china is antique. Years ago I inquired about a replacement piece and was given the price of $150.00. I have pictures. One mover, Damien was to pack my closet, without any cloths any cloths in it. He was seen sitting on the floor of my bedroom, starring and seemed non- cognaisant. He took 3 hours to pack my closet of linens, hangers and boxes from the overhead selves. When I asked Damien why it was taking so long, he didn't answer. I was told that Damien had called the manager, Trish, several times during packing, upset and crying, complaining about my treatment of him. I was never rude but did ask why it was taking so long, that was it. Several things were left in the closet, including a box of new shoes. All my plants were damaged and dieing. The second day a new guy came, replacing Daimen. When I asked about the bill with a $55.00 charge for overtime, I asked why. I did not authorize overtime. The first day of my move only half of the truck was unloaded. A secound day took an additional 3 hours. The new guy, on the secound day, when I asked about the overtime charge he went off on me. He took a physically aggressive stance, in my body space and said he wasn't a crook. I tried to escalate the situation and stepped back. He was in my personal space and it took awhile before he relaxed his physically aggressive stance. He gave me the reciept and stalked out. He left a parting gift of taking a chair that was out of the way and put it, blocking the entrance of the kitchen. He also took the reciept before he left. When I texted Trish for a copy, it came back with the overtime charge removed. I did not get the $55.00 charge returned. I have over 30 years of experience and training on desculating angry and disgruntled clients, nothing helped with these movers. The ower called me and called me "crazy" and to sending text messages or he would get a lawyer. My move from Portland, and house, on a hill with stairs, took 8 hours and cost 1, 700.00. My move in Astoria, one mile away, took 10 hours and cost 1,600.00, with elivators. Unfortunately there is more. DO NOT chance using City Transport.
