Just had Ozzie come to figure out why our brand new dishwasher had a toxic "burned plastic"smell very time we used it. Turned out to be the "natural" brand of detergent we'd been using! So obviously, I was chagrined that it was something so simple (why hadn't we tried another brand ourselves...) He spent about an hour patiently educating me about ALL our appliances, and didn't have to charge me! Apparently, the manufacturers pay for a single session of "customer education", now that appliances have so many new fangled systems and characteristics. Anyway, he was AWESOME. Bought stove, first few days of using it, the knob completely breaks off. I was simply turning it on, nothing forceful etc. All Star says they wont issue a warranty claim as it was deemed neglect. Not sure how they came to that conclusion since I (grown woman) just turned it on like you would a normal stove. DO NOT RECOMMEND, as now they won't even come out to repair either. Ordered and paid for new Washer and Dryer from Allstar. Delivery and install scheduled at time of purchase. Workers show up to install and one is hurt, says he "can't risk getting hurt even more" with this job. Called Allstar and informed Allan that he had sent an injured boy out to do a man's job. Apparently, Allan is of the same snowflake genre as his delivery boy. They refunded my money's without speaking to me about their contribution to the problem. When I called, they said they would not be able to do business with me. Got the same make and model from another source for less money and they had men who knew what they were doing in making the delivery. Wouldn't recommend the snowflakes at Allstar Appliances to anyone. read more

This is non-negotiable, presented at the time of installation, without previous disclosure. If the customer declines to sign, choosing to hold All Star Appliances responsible for their actions, the appliance be dropped in your driveway, or returned to the shop to be resold. The customer will be reimbursed, minus "floor charge" & "sales commission". EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude behavior by the co-owner of the company. Work scheduled to be done on broken part of a newly installed dishwasher through a third party company for warranty work. Mr. Burris called, well aware of who he was speaking to and doing work for, showed up at the residence and looked at the dishwasher. He "ran it through a few cycles" and said there was no issue. My daughter and my mother were both present at the house. My husband arrived home and ran the dishwasher to find there was still a leak and nothing was fixed. I called Mr. Burris and was told to have my husband call him. My husband called his number to be told that "he is on the No Work List for personal reasons and if he had known it was for him he wouldn't have even shown up." Mind you, this is a brand new manufactured home that came with appliances and this work was contracted through the actual manufactured home company under warranty on the home. Mr. Burris acted very unprofessionally. We have waited over a month for this appliance to get fixed due to scheduling. Now we will have to wait even longer while they locate another company that will actually do the work. read more

I have lived numerous places, including big cities, yet have never received such a high service fee for a technician arriving, staying all of 5-10 minutes, and doing basically nothing to fix my problem, other than to make a mess of my kitchen that he left for me to clean. When I called to see why the fee was never disclosed by the person who I made the appointment with or the technician who came out, they said that is standard practice to not tell people how much they charge. Maybe if you're dishonest as a business. I've always had businesses be upfront about that. And the cost for what I needed replaced and their fees to install were extremely high. I know the cost of things are going up yet they know they have a captive market in a small town and I believe they take advantage of that fact. I will get my appliances elsewhere. read more

I was thankful for the advice that Allen gave me about how to fix a stuck latch on a very old Jenn Air stove. Our conversation was conducted over the phone after the latch did not disengage after the self cleaning cycle was complete. Allen suggested a few things to try, and it actually worked. A replacement cost for a new stove would be quite expensive, so I was happy for the phone call advice! read more

I usually prefer giving business to small stores and avoiding the big box stores, so I ordered a microwave from here which was on back-order for two months. I waited all day for the delivery only to learn when I called to find that the driver had forgotten to pick it up that morning and had to return to the warehouse to retrieve it. Then someone from All Star called to say that the microwave was dented in the back, but that should not affect the performance. No effort was made to offer the damaged product at a reduced price. I refused the microwave. Very poor customer service. read more

Needed warranty repair on a refrigerator located in Gearhart. Setting an appointment was convenient and handled very professionally and friendly. Repairman arrived right on time and dig a great job with the repair. Provided operational tips to help avoid similar problems in the future. Great experience all around and happy to recommend Allstar to anyone. read more

Shame on you for selling a refrigerator including installation and then not installing it unless the buyer signs a waiver releasing you of damage liability. Aron and Austin have filled many of these repairs and they have done so in response on same day panic calls from myself. The first time is used the company they came to fix a dryer. They came to the home quickly and found nothing wrong with the dryer. Charge $100.00 this was fine and I decided to use them again when an old dishwasher broke. Second interaction I purchased a dishwasher and paid $100.00 to have it delivered and installed. Upon arriving at the house I was told the OLD dishwasher was installed before the cabinets were installed and that they would be destroying the cabinets to get the NEW dishwasher installed and that they needed to "correct some plumbing". I asked them to stop work and return the dishwasher to All Star. I knew this information was not true as the cabinets are 1950's original and the dishwasher less than 20 years old. I was still charged for the visit. I had another dishwasher delivered and installed no problem from another source. No cabinet damage as the cabinets are original 1950's and the old dishwasher was approximately from the 1980's as I assumed. So All Star installer did not even attempt to see if the dishwasher ordered could be installed. The plumbing was also fine at the property and did not need to be altered. Outline: Appliance are expensive (installed dishwasher is a higher model and was $100.00 less at another provider) Service did not even attempt to do their job - yet charged me. Management was rude when I was contacted about the experience. read more

I have dealt with these folks several times and am very pleased with their prices, service and attitude. Can get parts as well as refurbished or new appliances and they are willing to take my old dishwasher, even though I only bought a drain hose from them for it. read more

These folks are great. We've used them for appliance purchase and repair for at least 10 or 15 years. Alan and Jackie are always helpful and they recognize their customers when called. Prices are fair, deliveries are on time. Today's service on our cooktop ( wine bottles and glass cooktops are not friends ) was done by Alex... arrived right on time, job done in an hour, no fuss no muss. read more

A bought a new stove from All Star Appliances a couple weeks ago. It has been almost two weeks since I wrote the check. So I called and asked when the check would go through. The lady who answered the phone had the worst attitude about my simple question. She told me I would know when it goes through. Once again I asked if she could find out the status of my check. She told me it was on a desk and they would get to it when they get around to it. Easily the worst customer service I have ever delt with. She had the biggest attitude with me the whole time. I have been a customer for as long as I can remember. However after being treated this badly I will never buy from them again. read more

We own a vacation home in Rockaway and when our dryer drum stopped turning we checked our neighborhood association's list of service providers people have used and trust. All Stars was recommended many times so we gave them a call. Their level of service was exceptional. They were available to quickly come and change the belt, but they also were willing to walk us through the repair so we could save the cost of sending out a repair person. We chose the later and when we arrived at the shop everyone was friendly and very helpful. We paid for the belt and then a repair person showed us how to change the belt using one of the dryers in their shop. He showed us how to open the dryer and get to the belt. He showed us how to put the belt on correctly and what pitfalls to watch out for. We will definitely use them again and understand why so many of our neighbors also recommended them so highly. read more

Took them four times to fix our dryer bearing and three weeks from start to finish. Technician brought wrong parts twice! Unfortunately Sears subcontracted them to repair our stove. The technician came at the end of the four hour window of our appointment and then informed us he new nothing about the stove. He called his supervisor and after three calls they came up with the problem. He then informed us the part would take 4-6 weeks to get. At the end of six weeks they called and said the part was in and we set up an appointment. On the appointed day we waited for four hours and called, no answer, left message. After an hour and a half called them and was told technician would be here in fifteen minutes. At end of an hour and fifteen minutes called back and was told they had no idea when tech would arrive. Tech never did come. Sears ended up sending a company from Lake Oswego to install a new stove! read more

Shame on All-Star! After being told, "it's like this everywhere," and paying $105 for a service call, which took less than 5 minutes to find out the washer was unfixable; I was told I had to figure out how to haul my washer out of my house and if I bought a new one from them, they would deduct $50 and pick up the old washer from the driveway. I'm handicapped - I'm not hauling a washer out of my house! Roby's furniture no longer charges for diagnostic calls - could have saved myself $105. They also would have hauled my old washer out and hooked up my new one for a less than $40 fee. Home Life, not only hauled out my old washer, but hooked up the new one - and for no fee. It doesn't matter if you sell and service the best product on the market - if your customer service is horrible....I would rather replace something sooner with good customer service than get basically lied to, or told half-truths. I cannot nor will I ever recommend All-Star. I wished I would have read the other reviews first. Don't trust what All-Star says, call around to other appliance stores. read more
