Finally I made the decision w/ my wife to end it right then and there and set an appointment with Siegfried (owner) who was very professional and sounded very competent over the phone. COMMUNICATIONS Let me tell you how impressed we were. After my initial phone call w/ Siegfried, I set an appointment and asked my wife to reconsider and meet Design Floors. Siegfried was always on the spot with anything we asked for. He even provided samples for my wife to take back to our new home and we laid them out on our floor to decide. We finally settled on a color and made an installation appointment. One thing we appreciated is how fast he would answer our questions. If it wasn't by phone, it would be text. INSTALLATION / CREW My wife was representing us at our home and keeping her keen eye on things. She was especially pleased, and as a former corporate interior designer, she knows where companies/contractors will short cut installs. According to her, they did everything right. We put in vinyl flooring throughout the entire home except the master bathroom (we have pets; i have bad allergies) and it looks gorgeous. Because our house was completely empty, they were able to finish our 2,400 sq ft home in 3 days. Might be longer if you have furniture. The crew was led by a man named Elly (sp?) and he and the guys were very respectful of our home and took care to make sure things were clean after every day. They took away all the refuse from the demo and took away boxes and other misc sundries after each work day. Siegfried arranged the plumber whose prices were competitive with market rate. There was an accident (small hole in wall) while moving a piece of heavy furniture but Siegfried decided to take care of it on his own dime. Wow, we were impressed! PRICING Speaking of pricing, his rates were competitive with the 3 other shops I called for estimates. PICS These are just a few shots. Our place looks amazing and we can't wait to move in!

The reason that I'm taking off two stars is because of the drama, manipulation and accusation of me…read morebeing a liar. I asked a simple question about a dent that I noticed on the front of my refrigerator after they hammered up my old floor tiles. A dent that I, my husband and parents know was not there the night before because we would have noticed it when we were hanging plastic drop cloths on my kitchen cabinets. I feel as though it was very unprofessional that Carl and Amber went directly to Mario after I showed them a picture of a new dent on the front of my refrigerator and they all discussed the situation without my knowledge. Then, Carl and Mario stood their ground together in front of me as the only woman in the room of my own house, accusing me of lying. I only had an innocent question as to if they had a tool that they use that takes out dents. I was thinking about simple ways to fix an inconvenience, but they jumped from A to Z with their reaction. They acted as though I was demanding a new, $5,000 appliance out of them. Carl even stubbornly talked with me and stiffened his body language and demeanor towards me when I first greeted him on the morning of the next day. He got me so upset with his stubbornness and bully-like approach that I started to raise my voice because he refused to listen to my reasoning. The argumentation became so loud that my husband had to cut his business phone call short in the front room of our house to see what was happening. Plus, Mario was even gone for approximately 30 minutes in the late morning on the first day of work (I have Ring camera videos to prove it), leaving his one worker to take care of the kitchen while he was away. The dent incidental could have even taken place during that time?! The contract stated that they would "take every precaution to protect them [furnishings] from damage." Mario and his worker had a cloth tarp draped over the front of the refrigerator, but not the entire front because there was a portion still exposed and not covered for protection. The exposed part is where the dent is located. I found all of this to be immature and unprofessional that two men would side against me in my presence in my own home and treat me like a second class citizen. I even had to stay away from my house for about a third of the time that they were working in my home because of their unwillingness to listen to me. I also was not crazy about the rubber caulking that Mario filled into the open space that they missed with grout along one section of my cabinets by the floor. When I brought it to Mario's attention that the grout was missing, I thought that he understood that I wanted the grout filled into the space like the rest of the baseboards had, not rubber caulking. I love how my floors turned out. They look great. You can tell that it's artisan craftsmanship. But, I have to tell my story on the internet because they all refused to act civil and talk with me sensibly in my home. So, beware that this company may argue with you on incidentals to your personal belongings.

We picked out our flooring two months in advance, and Abraham said that the distributor must have assumed that it was canceled because the install was not until two months later. I did not hear from them in the weeks leading up to our install so I called a week in advance to see if we were still good to go and they assured that everything was still set for the date we picked. Anyways, my husband had taken the week off of work and they only had enough engineered hardwood flooring to do one room. They went ahead and did the carpet in the bedrooms by Friday of that week. They didnt start on the rest of the house until the following Monday. So we had to takeoff work again, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The workers showed up on time on Monday to rip up the flooring. They didn't show up until noon on Tuesday to install the new flooring so they were still working up until 8 o'clock that night and were still not finished by that evening so they had to come back out Wednesday morning to finish. Needless to say this drug on for almost 2 weeks with our house being turned upside down, not being able to get to our stuff or Cook in our kitchen. I requested that Abraham hire a cleaning service to clean our house because we both had to go back to work and didn't have time to put it back together until the following weekend. He agreed and he did send someone out the next day and they did an impeccable job cleaning the house and getting rid of the dust. I will say had the distributor not canceled our order, we probably would've had a better experience and it would've been done in a timely manner. I think that it's a reputable place and they're honest people. They could work on their communication skills a little better. Would I recommend them again yes because overall the work was good and they did try to make it right after the mistake happened.

Draper Floors has a large selection of flooring to select from including ceramic, porcelain, and wood. With Tim and Joshue's help my wife and I found the perfect, reasonably priced tile for our project at Draper Floors and once we ordered the selected tile Ronie and his crew demolished and removed the old flooring and installed the new flooring with care and attention to detail all in a span of three days. They also moved furniture and appliances and covered furniture with plastic to minimize dust from the demolition of the old ceramic tile floor. I like that Draper Floors is a local neighborhood service and when the time comes to update our bathroom, we will use Draper Floors tile selection and installers again for the tile work in the bathroom.
