The food was very flavorful and the lamb had the perfect texture. The service was faster than I expected and the tacos make a really quick a la carte option. Their organic drinks are all refreshing. I liked the mango one the best.

The atmosphere is good and the food in decent for what it is . It's not your traditional Indian fare but it's a cool spin on Indian food like Indian street food . So if you want something a lil different then this is a good spot .

Food was fresh and flavorful. So many items on the menu I wanted to try. Great juices and teas instead of the usual soda. Loved the fresh garlic on the naan and the green sauce it came with. Fun relaxed atmosphere we will definitely be a back soon.

When we got into the parking lot, we thought they were closed - not a car in sight. But I saw a tiny open sign and insisted that between that, and the hours on their website, they must be open. My friend and I insisted differently. She went in and, guess what? They really were open! When we walked in and saw a sign for happy hour. Bonus! We were set. We each bought a draft for a dollar off and purchased a few of the $5 apps. The garlic knots are noted in several reviews so that was a no brainer. We also ordered the beer cheese with pretzels and our friends ordered the spinach dip with tortilla chips. I can't tell you how many beers there were, let's just say plenty. The beer was icy cold, perfect for another 95 degree day. Yelp didn't disappoint, the garlic knots were soft, pull apart deliciousness. The accompanying pizza sauce was just ok. The beer cheese as good. The accompanying pile of soft pretzel bites would have been better without so much salt. I didn't try the spinach dip. Nobody else seemed very thrilled with it. It came with tortilla chips - I don't know what kind they were but even they didn't look good. Beer Hog is designed for fun. Pool tables, dart boards, a small arcade, indoor corn hole and an array of daily activities including Harry Potter trivia night, line dancing night and live music on the weekend. There was quite a bit of patio area which will be great once our inferno weather pattern breaks. There are a couple rooms available to rent for various size events. We spoke with one of the 3 owners. The three of them designed and built out the entire interior. The owner we spoke with told us how they built the bar and every table in the building. They did a great job identifying and executing the unusual repurposing of the old library. Now that school is restarting, patrons need to mindful of afternoon traffic. If you don't know Hughes Road, just know it's a zoo when all of the schools let out. We'll definitely be back. The garlic knots alone are enough to guarantee that.

I recall the Huntsville location having an Estancia label Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay. It was a nice wine! They had it on a drink menu. Here, I didn't see a drink menu and I asked the very kind server for Estancia Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay. She returned with a rose wine - yuck! I refused it and she took it away, asking me to write down what I wanted on her food order ticket, which I did. She returned with a white wine, and after one sip it tasted oxidized - another yuck! I walked it over to the bar and explained what I was trying to get and she showed me the bottle and it was a low end Robert Mondavi bottle of white wine (their "RM" label). When I realized that, I knew the wine was not oxidized, just low quality. I apologized and said I would take the glass back I had just brought her, but I think she had dumped it out. At any rate, I get it, Mexican restaurants are not widely known for their vast wine selections, and most people drink beer or margaritas. Robert Mondavi is not a bad label, but the bottle this Phil's carries is their low, low, end. Despite the wine snafu, the hubs and I enjoyed a birthday dinner for me with him enjoying their burrito (I think it was pork) and me trying to replicate my Sorority Sister's shrimp and chicken fajitas with the chicken fajita dinner. The chicken was tender and well seasoned meaning the fajitas were a win for me. The tortillas were fantastic, the service was good despite language barriers and wine quality issues, the restroom was spotless and we enjoyed a dinner out! Thanks, Phil's!

The cheese dip is delicious with their hand made tortillas. The pickled onions have that bite that makes their salads stand out. If it is your birthday, a round of singing while you wear the special Sombrero is worth the embarrassment for the flan. But don't wait for your birthday to enjoy all that Phil has to offer. it is place to meet up with friends and family memories are made.

However you can buy a "3 flight" wine tasting or a "6 flight" wine tasting from a specific list of white wines or red wines. We ordered the "6 flight" consisting of 3 whites and 3 reds to taste. We liked the ability to choose the wines from the list. We also ordered a caprese crostini tray to nibble on while we tasted the wines. Most of the wines were "OK" to "Good" in taste with a couple of wines that a bit too young for tasting. But it was my mistake for selecting them. All in, it was a fun way to spend the Erving. We will definitely be back to try The Stem and Stein once again. Thanks. Rob F

The waitress recognized that we had a small kid and was very helpful with getting everything out as quick as she could. The mean green egg rolls were amazing! Now for the star reduction.... Cooking a steak right just doesn't happen here. The kitchen manager also seems clueless about how to cook a steak, when to take it off, and what a medium steak should even look like. I ordered my ribeye medium, it came out medium well to well done. They offered to make a new one, which came out purple..... Not even cooked all of the way through. So the waitress takes it back and a few minutes later she brings it back out. Same steak that I had already cut into. The steak was not only very try but again was very overcooked. It was medium well to well done yet again. And more or less she just said sorry about that and left the table. I paid almost $50 for a very dry and overcooked steak. And the reason why I haven't been there in close to over a year was this same issue multiple times before we decided to just go elsewhere. The place is well decorated. And for a Friday night there were maybe 4 tables sat.
