A bit pricey for some things, but they have some great meat replacement and specialty items. And everything is vegetarian. Lots of vegan options too. The bistro however was disappointing. Service is super slow. I stood around for ten minutes under the "order here" sign with the two bistro workers actively ignoring me before one of the cashiers told me I had to order with her. It was then another 15+ minutes for them to take a pre-made wrapped sandwich out of the fridge, stick it in the toaster, and pour me a cup of soup. I came at an off time and there was no line either. The soup was really good. The sandwich however was not. I got a chicken pesto sandwich which I thought would be a "chicken" cutlet or slices with pesto and other toppings. They used their chicken salad as the chicken in the sandwich. I guess I should have asked first, but I never thought that is what they would use. It didn't taste like pesto at all. It just tasted overwhelmingly of mayo and vegan or not, I hate mayo. I came back and got a smoothie. It was overly sweet and tasted like stevia. The pizza looked good so I may be back to try that and pick up more stuff at the market. They do have a fabulous outdoor seating area with a pavilion and fountain.

Genuinely the best burritos and sides I've ever had. I'm a Huntsville native and somehow went 29…read moreyears without eating here and I don't know why and I'm livid with myself. The vibe is immaculate. You don't feel like you're in Alabama, this definitely has a So-Cal feel. The green bean burrito, with its lack of Green Beans, is fantastic. This is some of if not the best salsa verde I've ever had. It's not spicy at all but it's so full of flavor. The combo burrito is also great but the green bean surpassed it for me. The pork tacos are also to die for. Fantastic flavor and texture with a great tasting corn tortilla. The rice and beans also, as per usual in this review, some of the best ever. Again, can not believe I haven't eaten here before. Hopefully I don't gain 29 years of weight making up for 29 years of lost time.

A rusted, faded sign marks the restaurant on Governors Drive. I find it by its bright teal, yellow and purple roofed building. It's a typical hot and humid Alabama day, but for some reason everyone '"eating in" is outside. There are several people out here but only one has gotten their food. Cars are pulling in and out, most people are doing carry-out tonight, much different than the lunch crowd - tables are at a premium then. They have upgraded a little inside - the garbage bags acting as ceiling tiles have been replaced with real tiles and the buckets to catch the drips are gone. I was bummin' - it's been awhile since I've been and margaritas are off the menu. Hopefully, someday soon, they will once again be on the "good" list and be able to serve those cold cups of awesomeness. Now for the food.YUM! My absolute fave is the rellano. Perfection in my mind. Their refried beans rock and the tamales aren't bad either. The enchiladas are not my fave. My husband is partial to the fish tacos - way too healthy - nobody goes to Bandito Burrito for health food. Bandito's prices are pretty reasonable considering the amount of food that you get. I usually don't wait too long for my food, today is another story. I'm always looking for that hole-in-the-wall, most time, those are the true gems. Bandito Burrito is definitely one of those gems.

I'll get to the point…read more It's a good health food spot. They have smoothies-both yogurt and milk based. You do have a choice of Oat milk and Soy. The pleasant young dude helping me says coconut milk is on its way!! For vegans/veggies- they have wraps, a few salad choices, and the flat bread which I ordered... Food-not impressed with cauliflower flat bread. It's a horrible vehicle for toppings because it gets soggy quick and blends textures with the melted cheese- it's off putting BUT there's a saving grace in that you can order the wrap instead. Flavor was there though. The chicken and goat cheese with Frank's hot sauce is delicious and simple and actually has great flavor! You can order it without meat or beyond chickN. It's very clean, very relaxing, and fir readers, you can grab a quick bite and get your read on in peace. I do recommend giving them a try.

There's ample parking since it's in a very large shopping center. The inside is larger than expected with plenty of spots to sit. I could see working on a laptop in here; it's well air conditioned and has a nice vibe. Several staff members were behind the counter and they were quick to greet me and begin work on my order. I got the grain and berry, which had bananas, blueberries, and strawberries on a bed of granola and acai, with peanut butter, Nutella, and coconut flakes. It was packaged and ready to go in a reasonable amount of time. Compared to other places, I did think the price was a bit high. I enjoyed my fruit bowl when I ate it for dinner a little bit later. The acai wasn't overly sweet and the ratio of granola to fruit was pretty perfect. I was missing the coconut flakes - idk if they didn't put them on or if I just never detected them. The fruit ratio was also a little off in my opinion -- only a few diced up pieces of strawberries, a handful of blueberries, and then a LOT of sliced bananas. Lastly, I really wish the peanut butter and Nutella had been drizzled on top. At first I thought I didn't get any at all, but I eventually realized it was in a layer below the fruit and above the granola. This might've been done to preserve the appearance of the bowl/lid since I got it to go, but I feel the flavors got a little lost when I ate it. Overall, these are minor nitpicks/personal preference so not a huge deal. I could easily see myself returning for another bowl in the future. Thanks, Grain and Berry!
