A simple pre-dinner drink turned into one of the most epic nights I've had in years. The most special thing about this micro Brewery is, it actually is a micro Brewery. The owner and Brewer Carey, only bruise enough for the store location. He does not Kang. He does not miss produce it. If you wanna try his amazing beers. The only place you can go is to his establishment. To me, it makes a beer more special, because it's only intended for an intimate audience. And that's why my night was so epic. When we get to the Brewery. We are intrigued by the multiple selections., and the bar keep, was super polite and patient with us as we wanted to try samples of all the beers that intrigued us. Initially our goals just to have one beer and head to dinner. The bartender was super polite and patient with us. We finally decide on a pint and we head upstairs, because the Brewery is actively brewing beer. We wanted to peak in NC anything we could. We end up chatting with Carey, who is in the office. Carey, the owner and head brewer, was nothing but amazingly nice. They ran out of their tiramisu beer. I asked him how he brews such an interesting beer, he offered to give me the recipe. I settled on just a verbal explanation on how he does it. After him telling me his process there's no doubt my mind that this guy is an absolute genius and truly passionate about his micro Brewery and his beers. Carey it's kind enough to explain the history of the building of the Brewery and some of the artifacts that he actually has in the Brewery. I really appreciate the eclectic look in knowing the history behind everything makes it even more special. Green bus brewery is truly a Hometown local bar. Our intended one beer turned into three. And we were socializing with the owner and his patrons. They made us feel like family. They gave us stories about the town about the Brewery. I can understand why people go back on a regular basis. I travel about 70% of the year, and I'm away from home and that feeling is not lost on me. However, last night having a beer at Green bus Brewery, I honestly felt like I was at home thanks to Carey and his wonderful patrons. That is gonna be a night that my coworker and I will remember for a long time. I hope to come back to Huntsville. When I do, I will be sure to visit Green Bus Brewery. I was in the mood for something cold but not beer at 4pm, so I opted for the apple chider which is apple cider and chia tea and IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! My sister got the dark cholesterol cherry cold brew with a splash of cream and it was super good too! My fiancé got a watermelon beer and it even had a pink tinted foam on top! I was told there was some outside seating (all of the tables/chairs were taken inside) so since this was my first time visiting, I wish there were signs or maybe the hostess could have showed us specifically where to go because oops, I accidentally opened a door that appeared to be an office. Someone saw us and we probably looked lost to them and so they were nice enough to show us the outside area which had a singer who sung some Frank Sinatra songs. He was very talented and appealed to the audience. To our surprise, we saw behind us a table for the tastings. I asked the server for a champagne card so I could take notes and view the prices, but she said when we entered, we should have received one. So I went back to the front and asked the people at the door for the champagne card and they stated that they were printing them, and that they will hand them out a little later. Also I wondered about my brunch that was paid for separately and they said they will come and find me when it was ready. I am glad that we were able to find a table because now I am wondering if we couldn't, how would we have eaten our food. In my opinion, tables should have been reserved for customers who ordered food. Also I wasn't sure how they were keeping up with which customer showed up first because we weren't given a number or anything to show that we ordered food and what our number in line was. At first glance, they seemed unorganized. But as the time progressed they did eventually bring out the champagne cards and they apologized for the lateness of us receiving our food. As the event was coming to an end, one of the workers gave us info on future wine tastings and when they have a live band. All in all, we enjoyed the experience despite it seeming to be unorganized at times, but will definitely come back and visit soon. P.S. The champagne was great! Even bought a bottle. I ordered the Monte Sano Sunset, which is a rum drink with fruity elements to include orange and pineapple juice as well as a squeeze of lime. It wasn't overly sweet and didn't upset my stomach as similar drinks often do. It was a pleasure to watch Teylor make my beautiful drink as well as what others ordered; there was even fire involved with one particular beverage! I went with the flight and tried for their beers: the Cream Ale, Rye Saison, IPL, and dark DIPA. I wasn't a fan of the cream ale as it had a smoky flavor. Both the rye and dark DIPA were unique and complex. My favorite was the IPL, hoppy, yet very smooth.
