The brewery is standard brewery decor with sports playing on tvs. Looks like there is a speakeasy area and an outdoor patio but I didn't explore those this trip. I ordered a Kolsch and the meatball sub (weekly special). I have to admit, I was a little disappointed by the portion for $17. However, the food was very good. The meatballs were meaty and the marinara was tomatoey. The cheese and herbs went together well and the Cole slaw was creamy and vinegary. I wanted to finish the sub but I exercised restraint, knowing I needed a leftover. Overall it was a good experience with good food and beer.

This is a fantastic venue--true to its name, it's a repurposed school campus. I've visited several times, and while it changes a little with each visit, there's always something new and fun to do. We walked the entire campus, which was surprisingly nostalgic. Everyone at each restaurant and brewery is welcoming and friendly. We made a point to spend some time at Straight to Ale Brewery during each visit--they have great beers and elevated bar food. Overall, it's a fun place to explore, whether you stay for a few hours or just stop by briefly.

A simple pre-dinner drink turned into one of the most epic nights I've had in years. The most special thing about this micro Brewery is, it actually is a micro Brewery. The owner and Brewer Carey, only bruise enough for the store location. He does not Kang. He does not miss produce it. If you wanna try his amazing beers. The only place you can go is to his establishment. To me, it makes a beer more special, because it's only intended for an intimate audience. And that's why my night was so epic. When we get to the Brewery. We are intrigued by the multiple selections., and the bar keep, was super polite and patient with us as we wanted to try samples of all the beers that intrigued us. Initially our goals just to have one beer and head to dinner. The bartender was super polite and patient with us. We finally decide on a pint and we head upstairs, because the Brewery is actively brewing beer. We wanted to peak in NC anything we could. We end up chatting with Carey, who is in the office. Carey, the owner and head brewer, was nothing but amazingly nice. They ran out of their tiramisu beer. I asked him how he brews such an interesting beer, he offered to give me the recipe. I settled on just a verbal explanation on how he does it. After him telling me his process there's no doubt my mind that this guy is an absolute genius and truly passionate about his micro Brewery and his beers. Carey it's kind enough to explain the history of the building of the Brewery and some of the artifacts that he actually has in the Brewery. I really appreciate the eclectic look in knowing the history behind everything makes it even more special. Green bus brewery is truly a Hometown local bar. Our intended one beer turned into three. And we were socializing with the owner and his patrons. They made us feel like family. They gave us stories about the town about the Brewery. I can understand why people go back on a regular basis. I travel about 70% of the year, and I'm away from home and that feeling is not lost on me. However, last night having a beer at Green bus Brewery, I honestly felt like I was at home thanks to Carey and his wonderful patrons. That is gonna be a night that my coworker and I will remember for a long time. I hope to come back to Huntsville. When I do, I will be sure to visit Green Bus Brewery. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

I was in the mood for something cold but not beer at 4pm, so I opted for the apple chider which is apple cider and chia tea and IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! My sister got the dark cholesterol cherry cold brew with a splash of cream and it was super good too! My fiancé got a watermelon beer and it even had a pink tinted foam on top! Coming from almost two decades in Austin, we had a huge brewery scene and culture. That said, some of the folks working here seem either annoyed by their customers or that they're doing everyone a huge favor by being here. That's such weird thing. Even my partner, who doesn't get bothered much got annoyed by one of their more surly beertenders. Continuing the lamentation of days of yore, they just don't have much fresh turnover of beers here. I often see the same beers month after month, if anything that's a sad testament of the current state of the craft beer economy. Lastly, regarding service, it makes absolutely zero sense as a patron living in SEC country, that leadership of this wonderful space would CHOOSE not to put their TV's on a sporting event with ties to the region. I had an employee assist with a TV only for the manager to chastise him for doing it right in front of me.
