Unfortunately, my order was never delivered because the driver gave it to the wrong person. I ordered through the restaurant's own online app, which they heavily promote. When I contacted the delivery service, I was told to contact the restaurant for a refund. When I called the restaurant, I was actually HUNG UP ON while explaining what had happened. I called back, only to be told repeatedly that it was "not their problem" and that I needed to contact the delivery service. Except the restaurant's own app told me to contact THEM. And, conveniently, the app provides no clear information for actually contacting the third-party delivery service. So I was left with no food, no refund, and no useful way to resolve the situation. I completely understand that the restaurant did not personally give my food to the wrong person. Mistakes happen. What is unacceptable is taking absolutely no responsibility for helping a customer resolve an issue with an order placed through your own ordering system. Hanging up on a customer who is simply trying to get help makes the situation even worse. I came into this expecting to finally find out what all the hype was about. Instead, I paid for food I never received and was essentially told, "Not our problem." That was enough to make sure I won't be ordering from here again.

I first came for the lunch buffet, and they had nearly 20 different items to choose from--plenty of variety, and everything I tried was excellent. I came back for dinner with family visiting from out of town, and it turned into an even better experience. It was my mother-in-law's first time trying Indian food, and the owner (or who I believe was the owner) took the time to walk her through the dishes and answer all her questions. That level of care really stood out. We had a group with very different spice tolerances, and every dish was perfectly executed. The mild dishes were still rich and flavorful, while the "Indian hot" options had the right amount of heat--definitely a kick, but in the best way. Even the kids cleaned their plates, which says a lot. To top it off, we had pistachio ice cream for dessert, and it was out. of. this. world. I ordered the Rogan Josh--my personal favorite--and was impressed by the generous portions and the large, tender chunks of meat. Across the board, the chicken, goat, and lamb dishes had a great meat-to-sauce ratio, which you don't always find. I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. VC has long been my personal favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town, so I was thrilled to hear they're expanding into a more southern part of Huntsville. Super close to a 5 and I'm confident it'll get there once a few tiny kinks get worked out. The restaurant occupies a space that has had a LOT of restaurants in it over the years (in recent memory, it was a crab place that never opened, Shababy's Ribs, and then Just Love Coffee). I really hope this spot can succeed where others did not last. It's clear they're still updating the decor to better suit a Vietnamese restaurant, but it's clean and comfortable inside, with a casual vibe. We were seated quickly on a Friday night. There was a moderate amount of people dining in and a goodly amount of carryout; yummy scents emanated from the kitchen. The menu seems a little smaller than what's available at VC though I'm not sure...either way, there's plenty of choices to suit any palate. The staff were very polite and extremely attentive, almost to the point of overwhelm. We were checked on *a lot*. I don't view this as a huge annoyance but others might. They were clearly working hard and eager to impress and attend to our needs. My husband and I each got a fried pork egg roll to start and then each a chicken clay pot for our entrees. VC and VT make the best clay pots in town, I think. I also got a Thai tea because I can't resist them, no matter where I'm eating. Maybe I played myself getting a Thai tea at a Vietnamese restaurant, but I've had it at VC before and it was better than this. This one wasn't bad, but it was a little watered down in terms of flavor and consistency, and worse than that, the boba was undercooked and just a clear tapioca color rather than black pearl or brown sugar. It wasn't very good boba, but it was serviceable enough - just not up to the standards of the rest of the food. Everything else was absolutely delicious, and I really have no critiques or complaints. The egg rolls were piping hot, crispy, and went perfectly with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. Our clay pots arrived sizzling and loaded with lots of delicious veggies and perfectly cooked chicken and rice. It crisped up nicely and stayed super hot all meal long. Also Huntsvilel's Thai restaurants have really incresed and the one on Airport Road has been more on my radar as my "go to" Thai place just due to its location in relation to my work commute. Do give Thai Garden a visit, I think you will enjoy it! Yes parking can be challenging in this section of Five Points but I doubt the laundry mat or any of the nearby businesses would mind you parking there. First, I judge Thai places on their ability to make a good Pad Thai... call it unfair, but that's what I do. Their version is seasoned (I got it spicy, they delivered without burning my whole body out; but I did have a decent sweat on me) and not oily at all. It's the perfect blend of taste without creating an oil slick in your mouth. Lunch came with soup, a small side salad, and Thai spring rolls for under $14. That's value to me, for the price of what fast food places nearly cost and getting a legit full meal that is worlds better than some greasy fast food is another sign to me that there is something special here. The staff was friendly, prompt, and courteous. It may look like a hole in the wall or not overly fancy... because it is not. It is clean, well kept, and has decor that matches the theme. It's not trying to be something that it isn't. The focus is on the food and ensuring people enjoy the food and experience if you are dining in. I will be back. I will get the Pad Thai again.
