Last night we reserved for two specifically in the Tiki Room on their Yelp options. We confirmed the reservation multiple times over text and even messaged we were running a tad behind, when we arrived the hostess working took us to their new Triple Seven Lounge room which is also an option to book on Yelp. I explained we had booked the Tiki Bar, the Triple Seven Lounge was empty and not themed the same, the hostess pretty rudely told us that was all she could give us despite their being an empty table available in the Tiki Room. When we asked about sitting there we were told that they held that table because someone else has a reservation. I explained again that we had a reservation, in the Tiki Room, not the Triple Seven Lounge. The hostess refused to seat us, my partner spoke to a manager and made some progress, but then we were handed back off to the same hostess, who told me I was threatening her when I said that I would post a review detailing they didn't give us our allotted reservation. Very disappointing and impersonal service. We left immediately after being called threatening because we did not want to cause that hostess any harm or unnecessary distress, but will not be back. Careful booking here, they don't value advance reservations. Remove the option to select which room you're in if you're not going to keep to it.

The island vibes hit you immediately - this would be a great place for an intimate party. We ordered: - The Big Kahuna Burger: the pineapple was a welcome addition to this otherwise pretty standard burger. The crinkle fries were also a good texture. 8/10 - Popcorn Shrimp: saucy yet crispy, great choice for an app. 8/10 - Jackfruit & Spinach Dip: I think the jackfruit was in dried form sprinkled on top of the dip, and we honestly didn't taste the jackfruit at all. 6.5/10 And for drinks, I asked them to surprise me with a mocktail. I got a delicious slightly creamy fizzy banana coconut drink. The bartender mentioned it was something he was working on. I hope it is officially on the menu soon! My partner got the Tokyo Drift - could barely taste the alcohol. If you get one of the larger drinks in bowls, they are served with some surprise flair. Cocktails are definitely the specialty here! We were able to nab some free parking on Euclid Ave., but it is also pretty accessible by streetcar. I would definitely come back with a group!

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.

Upon walking in you are greeted with warmth and a heavy tiki bar theme which extends from the restaurant to the lobby and even the bathrooms! There are many photos of celebrities eating pizza scattering the walls. I should mention you do need a reservation ahead of time and there is a deposit which you will lose if you don't show up. You can reserve online up to one month in advance. Most common table sizes are two or four. Now that you have been warned, let me continue to the good stuff! Upon being seated, you will be ushered to use the QR code to order. Order your pizza first as it takes 20 min to cook. I recommend allocating two slices per person. Small is four slices and large is 8. You can then order any appetizers or drinks as you wish. My order: Chai-buprofin - this drink is served on fire. It's a sweet mix of chai, coconut and rum, sending you away to the Carribean for the duration of the beverage. Pile on Pepperoni Large - sweet, savory, thick, juicy. You have entered pizza heaven and you will never go back. Cocojito - Pisco Pina colada -a surprisingly good mix and a pleasant finish Overall, we really enjoyed our experience, the food was phenomenal. If you set your expectations accordingly, you will not be disappointed!

Honestly wasn't the biggest fan of the fried chicken as I found it lackluster. I really enjoyed the aloha burger though. I decided to get a Blue Hawaii cocktail, which was beautifully presented to me. My friends also enjoyed their cocktails, and the time to wait for a table went by fairly quickly. We decided to share an order of their vegetarian baos, which were pretty good and surprisingly hearty. We asp shared an order of their tempura corn fritters, which were also hearty and tasty. I decided to get their jackfruit fried rice, which was unfortunately pretty lackluster. I felt like it needed something, perhaps more salt or soy sauce. Other than that, we had a lovely meal here and the restaurant itself was beautiful. A fun place to go out to if you happen to be in Toronto.

The food was not done properly at all--tacos and enchiladas were VERY dry with barely any flavour, filling or cheese, guacamole was forgotten with the fish tacos, fish tacos overdone, tiny portions and inflated prices. The tacos looked and tasted exactly like what my 10 year old makes at home (a tortilla quickly folded in half with barely anything inside, then placed in a toaster). We were completely surprised and shocked they would charge $7.50 for one measly taco. Drinks were brought out long after appetizers, main meal order was not taken for eons, and no one cleared our table after appetizers so our table was stacked with extra dirty dishes and menus our entire dinner. Sorry but won't be returning even though we had been enjoying this restaurant in the past.

Good selection of drinks and great customer service. Fun facts: The Royal York Hotel opened in 1929. It hosted royalty, heads of state, and golden-age Hollywood legends like Cary Grant and Alfred Hitchcock when they were in town filming or staying upstairs in the hotel. Stepping inside is like time-traveling back decades, with velvet seating, brass accents, and dark, moody lighting. As soon as you walk into the Library Bar, the real centerpiece that grabs your attention is the massive oil portrait above the fireplace. That dignified gentleman watching you sip your drink is George Locke, the very first chief librarian of the Toronto Public Library. I love that a librarian is the patron saint of this bar! The drinks here aren't just cocktails; they're chapters in a story. The current menu, titled "Ink & Alchemy," is actually inspired by Michael Ondaatje's famous novel In the Skin of a Lion. Created by their award-winning mixologist James Grant, the menu is a tribute to the people who built this city: the immigrants, bridge-builders, thieves, and dreamers. You aren't just sipping a martini; you're drinking a liquid homage to Toronto's history.
