My go to for TexMex. Always fresh, made promptly and with generous portions. I love the Hot Bar and trying all the different Hot sauces. Many different options you can't get anywhere else. 1000 times better than Taco Bell. No comparison and quite honestly when you see what you get they are actually about the same price. Crazy. We were greeted with the sweetest, most helpful front worker girl who took our order and recommended the deals of the day. We went for all the deals and got our food within 5 mins. 2 times now I've ordered take out for my family and they've messed up the order and that's just recently. I've had to take return food after picking up on a few other occasions. Very little meat in the burritos and practically none in quesadillas which was cold by the way on my last order. I was pleasantly surprised by Tijuana Flats. In a world where Chipotle reigns supreme, Tijuana emerged as a worthy competitor. I tried Tijuana due to their Yelp! Elite promotion to try their new queso crunch burrito. What surprised me the most was the assortment of protein that could be added. Whereas chipotle has "chicken", "beef" etc, Tijuana has variants such as blackened chicken. I found relief in the variety they brought to the table. The burrito was good, although it could use a little more "crunch". I also enjoyed the fillings but felt it could benefit from the addition of lettuce/tomato as an optional extra. The only feedback I have for Tijuana is that they need a better system for pick-up orders. The pick up orders were left by the door unattended. Anyone can easily go in, take a bag, and leave with someone else's order. In this COVID era, I don't feel comfortable with my food sitting out for people to sort through to figure out whose order it is! Update: per the response on my review, I reached out to Tijuana to explain the situation. No one replied and it makes me wonder if the comment was for show! HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. The guy at the register had no problem wiping his nose multiple times then proceeded to rest his hands on the drink cup rims and stick his fingers inside the cup before filling. Had to get a new cup. The picture shows what you get when you order their new wings. Not much to say if you like bloody chicken wings. And to continue the comedy experience... I go to get iced tea refills. The young woman behind the counter makes eye contact 3x's, and then helps a customer that just entered the store. After making the 4th eye contact asks if I needed something. "A refill of tea would be nice." She takes the cups returning with them filled to the top with VERY WARM tea. I asked her for a cup of ice. She then says, "I didn't know if you wanted ice or not." Tijuana Flats has seem to have become my new addiction. After coming here 3 days in a row I've decided it's about time I wrote a review. Now I'm not going to say they have the most epic tacos I've ever tasted but, they are pretty darn good. There seems to be two things that set this place apart from others and here they are....... 1. Their hot sauce bar. They have quite the assortment of different types ranging from sweet and mild to hot and spicy. I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to heat but gave the hottest hot sauce a try just to see if I could handle. I couldn't. Oh well at least I tried. I would definitely recommend giving the mango and vidalia onion one a try though. It's addicting! 2. Their staff. They have a bunch of friendly hardworking young ladies working here. It's so nice to walk into a place and be greeted with a smile. Even though it's a counter service place the girls walk around checking on everyone and bringing drink refills. It definitely adds to the experience and makes you want to come back. Overall the food is good, staff is friendly and price is right so why not give it a try? I never have a problem at this restaurant but for my past 3 visits the experience was terrible. I normally just get a pint of queso from the restaurant and i always call my order in ahead of time and every single time i get there the order isn't ready because no one ever enters it. When i arrive at the restaurant i have to sit and wait for them to make my order when i called ahead of time so that i wouldn't. And the employees aren't helpful and customer service isn't the greatest. Going to have to find a new store now. read more

Came across this restaurant and decided to give it a try. the wait for the food was about10-15minutes ( which feels like forever when your hungry ). I had to ask for the chips first , instead of waiting on it to come with my meal . Nonetheless, the girl at the register had a mediocre attitude , just bland. But the food was awesome . This is the new location on State Road 7. It was pretty busy, only a table or 2 was available. While we waited in line, a staff member came and asked us what we wanted to drink. We placed our order and found a table while we waited for our food to arrive. It only took a few minutes to get our chips and tacos. The sauce bar has a bunch of different sauces for the tacos. Smack my ass and call me sally lit my face on fire, but it was good. The tacos were decent, not a ton of meat in there, but filled with toppings. The jalapenos were very fresh and very hot. Overall, I am giving it a 4 because the services was great, the selection of items were good and it was very clean. It didn't get a 5 because I wasn't in love with the tacos. Positive: Great drink specials, including $1. draft beers. Negative: Only one ladies room and one men's room. Tijuana Flats is mostly an addictive restaurant. Once you go, you'll be leaving full and wanting more. But, oh boy. What a day to come on, Taco Tuesday. It was very very busy, both the to-go and dining in experience. I had the 'Dos Tacos' with lettuce, cheese, steak and chips. Yes, you read it right. Steak. The tacos tasted amazing and even the chips tasted great. At this location, the bus boys to clean the tables aren't that prompt. They mostly only got the food trays but never cleaned the table we sat at. Other than that small flaw with the bus boys. It's a restaurant that is far better than Taco Bell with that all processed meat and crap. Taco Bell makes you go to the restroom after you eat, this doesn't (well for me at least). read more

My husband and I were excited to try this place after we found ourselves at Tj maxx with no place to go for dinner. We are watching our carbs so we both opted for the steak salads. We ordered a large guacamole to dip our steak in and the gentleman at the counter asked if we wanted to order chips to go with it. Being on low carb, we said no. Little did we know the salads came with a huge portion of chips. We quickly realized the portion of steak that was on our salads had to be about 2oz (if that). I never had a issue at this Tijuana before until I placed a order via Uber Eats. I received a small bowl instead of my extra chicken mega bowl. I called the store to speak with the manager. ZERO help. Took no responsibility of his staff sending out the wrong order. He blamed Uber saying since I ordered on Uber Eats I have to report the issue to them. I understand the refund being through Uber, however as a manager I would have expected higher level of customer service since the mistake was on them. My first time at any Tijuana Flats location tonight. (This is a new location that opened two days ago, so, understandably, there may be some growing pains and adjustments that will be made over time). (A note on my stars rating...I am hard pressed to give any chain/franchise restaurant a four star rating and five is just not going to happen...that said, my overall impression was favorable. This is several notches above most fast food/casual dining places...some minor improvements and they would get a 3.5- which, of course, is not a choice on Yelp- and perhaps even a four star rating). Like I mentioned, a new location and everything looked clean and inviting. I came at about 9 pm and there were only one other table of guests when I arrived). The service/attitude was on point. I was greeted when I walked in the door and given a "hello" by at least 3 folks before I even got to the counter to place my order. I ordered a steak burrito, double meat and cheese, with queso on top (came with chips). Took about 8-10 minutes to arrive at my table. While I waited, I went to the Hot Sauce bar and took a sampling of 4 sauces in little cups. The chips tasted good (were not warm, but, that is not a deal breaker).The sauces were all good, varying flavors and levels of spiciness. Overall, the burrito was good, several steps above say, Taco Bell, and in the same class as Chipotle. The restaurant apparently prides itself on using fresh ingredients, and the burrito ingredients all tasted fresh and were flavorful. The tortilla itself was about room temperature (I don't know if they put it in the over, use a press for the tortilla or just use a room temp tortilla), and while the queso was "warmer" I would have preferred a heated or warmer tortilla. I thought the steak was good, if just a tad salty. The jalapenos were good and along with the onions and lettuce gave a nice crunch and texture. Overall, a good burrito and I enjoyed it. In retrospect, I probably would have also ordered some salsa. I was a bit confused as to the "sauce bar" vice a regular salsa. So, I missed trying the house salsa. I am curious how that tastes. Maybe because the location is new and there was no one else in the restaurant by the time my food arrived, I did get a lot of attention from the staff. Three different folks stopped by and asked if everything was good. (I did not complain about the burrito as it was good- maybe I would have preferred a few tweaks, mentioned above, but nothing was below expectations....so, nothing to defend on the part of the service staff. They were all friendly, warm and attentive). I was impressed by the service. I will check back in the next few weeks and see if there are changes/improvements. I thought the size of the portions and the value was good (about $13, including drink). I would definitely say they are a good choice in the casual dining segment and have some promise of being even better. (They also have some good daily specials). read more

We ordered the Mexican pizza, bowl, nachos, chimichangas and everything tasted amazing. The service was great too! The manager came over to ask how everything was. They also have an enormous amount of sauces which are great. Each person can customize their own meal to their liking based of spice level of the sauces. Good food bit on the higher end of the price scale for fast food. Sauce bar was a nice touch, portion size was excellent , hence the higher price. Only complaint I have is the chips with the guacamole were great the chips that came with my dinner were stale. Makes not a lot of since but for the most part I will come back. read more

My friend had the chicken flautas which happened to be dry and bland. The chips and queso were both salty, they failed to enhance the entree. The only pleasant part of our meal was the sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce; they were fresh and moist which helped us stuff the other food down because we didn't want to waste our money. I had expected better from Tijuana Flats due to my past experience with them but this location disappointed me. Due to the low quality of the food here I will not be returning. read more
