Food is very tasty. I noticed that this place cooks their food in a healthy way. You don't get dripping greasy food like most Mexican restaurants. Portions are just right. I always love the food & service at Tijuana Flats and don't think i've ever had a bad experience here! Taco Tuesday's and their other "specials" days can get a little busy around lunch and dinner, but their employees are well trained to deal with meal rush. The environment includes: wall and ceiling graffiti that appeals to the eye, a wonderful variety sauce table, and welcoming staff. They are very friendly and kind at Tijuana Flats and always very lively. Their food is always just as amazing as you had the first time and who doesn't love a good American-take on Mexican food! Yum! Tijuana Flats is very family-friendly and a great place to hangout with friends. Another very cool feature in Tijuana Flats is their wall of fame, it includes many artists, football players and more that have visited their many locations. My husband was brought out his food without any of the toppings and had to ask twice to get them. The food didn't have a lot of taste. None of us liked the rice. We didn't like ordering at the counter and it wasn't enough room on the table for the trays they bring the food out on. Had the worst experience there last night. When we got there we were the only ones in the restaurant and the waitress seated us and we were able to order from the table. Being on a special diet I ordered the chicken bowl power lite and asked for lettuce instead of rice with black beans, salsa, and onions and peppers. What I got was watery lettuce and tasteless chicken. By this time they had a line at the register and I waited 10 mins for her to come back and get the other items, another 10 minutes pass I still don't have anything. (my family it's just about finished with their food ) The food I have is now cold and the manager seems to be dealing with another problem at the register. When I finally get the onions and peppers they aren't even cooked and the black beans are cold. Left without eating! So disappointed as we normally have great service and food there!! Guess Moe's, Chipotle, Taco Bar and Capital Taco will be our new number one choice. :( read more

We eat here often. I always get two steak soft tacos. Ive been to this one and the one at USF. This one is not as good, meaning the steak is way more tender at USF, but its still good here. Sweet teat isnt crack head sweet like most southerners like it, but its drinkable. Hubby always get the Tijuana beef burrito, he loves it. Chips are good and the got sauce bar is a neat addition. I am always a huge fan of Tijuana Flats, and their fast, friendly service. Unfortunately, when placing an order with UberEats, they seem to not be as fast, friendly or consistent as when you dine in. After receiving my order through Ubereats, I came back to my desk to check my order... immediately, I can tell, I did not receive any of my drinks that came with the entrees I made a meal. A couple of sides of beans/rice were missing, as well, which is ultimately NOT the end of the world. What warranted this review to be written, was the customer service that was provided when calling in to inform of errors in order. As someone who was a previous employee of Tijuana Flats, I know the procedures in place for checking and verifying ALL orders, especially the extra emphasis on checking to-go orders. I asked to speak to a manager, and the manager, Stephanie, decided to immediately place blame of the incorrect items on the fact that it is "the busiest day of the week", which should mean nothing in terms of my order being accurately fulfilled. After asking how the manager would make things right for the co-workers who did not have their meals correctly made, she informed me that the only thing she can do is give me the Ubereats 800 phone number, and they could refund the missing items... This is unacceptable to try to make Uber compensate for the missing items, as Tijuana Flats was given the specific instructions for each meal/item, and still managed to forget drinks, side items, and basically each meal had something wrong. My flautas, for example, came with just sour cream and queso... where is my lettuce, tomato, jalapeno and onions? Will NOT be dining at this location again, and I know the same is true for anyone that I work with... we will be taking our business to the Westchase location, instead. Love Tflats, just need consistency, and GREAT customer... not childish remarks that place blame on a non-guilty party! read more

Love, this place! I cannot rave enough about them Fresh ingredients, cooked awesome! Even the jalapenos are fresh. I personally prefer the jar jalapenos but the fresh ones are a testament to their commitment to freshness. Portions are good as well. I love the hot bar selection. The only downfall is it would be nice to enjoy a margarita with my Tex Mex/ Mexican food. The only thing I did not care for here was the nachos. I did not feel they had enough toppings but, it may have been a bad day for the cook because I have never had an issue with anything else ever. read more

Best and most courteous staff around! The Manager handled our food issues with patience and understanding. My daughter had to send back her food due to jalapenos being accidentally added... This place isn't as good as Taco Bell. Styrofoam plate restaurant with plasticware. Where's the beef? My husband ordered a taco it had less than a tablespoon of ground beef in it. The pork burrito had about 2 ounces of unshredded pork in it, the size of a walnut. The quaso cheese dip had a gritty chemical taste to it. The only thing good was the beer, served in a bottle, they don't have glasses only Styrofoam cups. As we left one of the server said see you next time, there will never be a next time! read more

I wanted to give an update to my original review. I was very impressed that management reached out to me to discuss my experience with pick up. The fact they were very concerned and wanted to correct the problem at this location showed they really cared about their customer service. They were even generous enough to offer a gift card which was completely unexpected and not necessary but thoughtful. The food is always great here and happy they looked into the pick up situation since that's what I typically do when I go there. read more
