I have been to TJF many many times!! My family and I love their food!!! The way they are decorated is awesome and the staff is always so friendly and ready to be of service. We have never had to wait once. The taco salads are just perfect! The cheese and chicken quesadillas are my son's favorite!! The salsa is fresh and made daily. They have a hot sauce bar for any taste buds to delight in. They are busy at lunch and dinner but there is never a very long wait and the staff will offer you a drink while you do wait. Try them out if you don't like Taco Bell but love Mexican food and want a restaurant style place. read more

Tijuana Flats - Ceiling tiles - Mexican Near Me - Oldsmar, Florida

I ordered tacos this past Saturday. When my husband got home with the order I opened it up to the wrong filling in my tacos. I ordered beef and refried bean we got chicken and refried bean. I called the restaurant and let them know the order was incorrect. They were so nice about the mistake. They apologized and said they would fix it. The girl on the phone asked how long it would take for us to come in and pick up the new order. She wanted to make sure it was hot and fresh. The tacos were delicious!!! Thank you read more

Good, affordable and fast. I have not had the pleasure of eating at this location, I have always had takeout or used the convenience of UberEats (usually avoid delivery unless I'm feeling very lazy because of the extra charge). My experience has always been good. The service has been great and the food always comes out tasty (sometimes the beef is a little too greasy). I usually get two hard shelled beef tacos with lettuce, cheese and onions with chips on the side. My alternate order is the beef nachos like my tacos with lettuce and onions (if you ask, it is possible to get queso on the nachos which is always delicious). I also will get the chips and queso if I have someone to share with. There are a lot of other gluten free options on the menu as well which is great for when I feel like having my meat, tortilla, cheese and vegetables prepared slightly differently. read more

A half an hour for 3 tacos?? Moe's is down the street. Go there. Every other location seems to do well. This Oldsmar location is terrible EVERY TIME read more

Really fun place to eat! Loved the quesadilla and my husband loved his burrito. The painted tiles and whacky lighting made it an enjoyable dining experience. The guacamole was tasty but the queso was just okay. Next time I wanna see if I can get the chips with no seasoning on it. read more

Happened 2/11/22 at 11:34am. I worked at Tijuana Flatts as a cook back in high school(different location) so I know what to expect. Ordered bean and BEEF nachos. But, what I got was bean and CHICKEN nachos. Which isn't a big deal and I understand miscommunication happens. They remade it with no problems but it came out way too quick(more to this in a second). But here's my issue, the first set of chicken nachos that came out had a bunch of toppings and the correct amount of beans and chicken. When they re-made it to the correct order there was about a 1/3 scoop of beef and 1/3 scoop of bean(barely anything), toppings were shorted, and shredded cheese wasn't even melted which means they didn't put them under the heater and that's why they came out so fast. It's a little annoying that the first order was full of ingredients and the 2nd wasn't. I didn't feel like complaining again. But, they were extremely dead so I should have. I picked at it for a couple minutes then gave up to get food somewhere else. I'm not writing this to sway people from not coming here but if I'm paying for over priced Americanized Mexican food then at least give me the proper proportions and melt the cheese how you're supposed to when you mess up my food. read more

First time here yesterday and I was amazed! Taco tuesday was perfect with that hot sauce

Went in today for lunch. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Great service and delicious food! Maintained all the proper precautions read more

I like TF in general and may have given a 4 star review in the past, however the last 2 visits have been disappointing. I'm not too eager to return to this particular location again anytime soon. The past 2 times I've gone, they took forever to make the order. Much longer than they said it would be when I placed my order on the phone. Last time I had a to go order and asked for an extra side of chips. Guess what happened when I got home and opened my bag?! No extra chips :( Today I ordered a burrito power lite with no jalapeños. Again it took forever to be ready. This time there were indeed jalapeños all up in my food and the burrito was wet and soggy (no, I did not order any sauce on top). It really had very little appeal due to being soggy. Boo, what a let down. This TF location needs to step their game up a notch read more

Good Mexican food at good prices with some seriously fun decor and a huge hot sauce bar. Can't really think of what else you'd need! I don't even like hot sauce but still enjoyed perusing the bar and trying some of the sweeter/milder ones. Just a fun place with delicious food. read more

Usually go here after work, but tried it for lunch. Got served fast, food was hot and fresh, and place was immaculate. Girls on the floor kept all tables clean and were super accommodating if you needed refills or anything to make your lunch better than it already was! I got the blackened chicken tostadas and they were perfect (as usual). read more

My 87-year-old mom, (who is not a big Mexican food fan) and I had lunch here today and she loved it, everything was excellent! The food was hot and fresh but what made it so great was the staff. Madison, Tiffany, the GM and a couple other servers went above and beyond to make us feel special! Thank you all, we'll be back! read more

Occasionally I'll pop into this location during a lunch break and have always been satisfied with my visits here. I'll mainly come in here on Taco Tuesdays to order some tacos, chips and a drink for under $6. The food is always good, the temperature is hot and the ingredients taste fresh and flavorful. I do like how this location is set up. You line up along the wall to order your food and hit the wonderful salsa and hot sauce bar after you receive it. I'm not one to crave Tijuana, but I do prefer this location over the Westchase location as I think the food here is much better. read more

After being spoiled by the Linebaugh location, I decided to give this location a try. I would say the two Tijuana flats locations differ like night and day. Aside from getting food poisoning which sidelined me for a little over a day, service was below par. I asked for two waters for example. The person delivering food told me that it would probably be awhile (strange, but at least she told me). I was probably half way through my meal before the waters arrived. We had a kids meal with an apple juice included as well which I had to remind them of twice. They were not busy either. Next, the kids meal always comes with a tattoo for the kids. Again, I had to ask when it didn't come only to be told they have been out for awhile but they are on order. Good service would be to avoid a disappointed child and tell them upfront when ordering. Food quality just seemed to suggest that a special something was missing from the preparation or presentation. It just seemed very bland and not characteristic of my visits to the Linebaugh location. Finally to the food poisoning. While eating my burrito, I definitely bit into some cold (not like warm or room temperature) chicken. It happened multiple times and I was more than half way through eating the burrito, so i didn't bother complaining. A couple hours later, the food poisoning symptoms ramped up and had me out of commission for about two days. I will not be back and would recommend driving a little further to the Linebaugh location. read more

One of my go to spots to get my mexican food fix. There is not much fast mexican food spots in the area but I'm glad Tijuana Flats is located near where I from. Clean vibrant restaurant; Has the feel of cross between Mexican modern, traditional, beachside decor. Outdoor seating is available. Laid back ambiance which also has sports feel cause of the TV's playing sport games. The flautas are my go to item here. It is topped with cheese and guacamole. You can get them cheese filled and/or with chicken or beef. Their nachos are large can feed 4 people. Chips are light and crisp. Choose your own toppings and comes with guac and salsa on the side. SALSA Bar; i brought my fiance' here and loves hot sauce and salsa. By far this place has between 12 different choices of sauces and you can also buy a bottle of your own to take home. Dessert: Cookie dough flautas. These are good finisher. comes with a side of melted hot chocolate for dipping. it's just the right amount of sweetness and doesn't feel heavy(recommended) read more

Easy in and out place for decent Tex-Mex. Taco Tuesday! Two tacos, chips and salsa $5.99. I like any place with a hot sauce bar.

Huge fan of Tijuana Flats. The food is very good, you get good sized portions and it always tastes really good. The prices are extremely fair for what you get. They have some great deals, Taco Tuesdays has tacos for a great prices, and there is a Burrito Thursday too. They do some great specials during the week. I've had a few different items, like their take on a Cheesy Gordita Crunch. One of the better parts of the restaurant is the hot bar. They have a great selection of hot sauces, and even offer the same tasting hot sauce in several different heat levels, so that you can get the same great taste, but adjust the heat level based on how spicy you want your food. The only real negative about the restaurant is that when its busy, be prepared to wait. Other then that though, its a great stop for the whole family to grab some quick excellent food read more

i guess I just didn't realize this store was there. So this afternoon i stopped in and had a great beef burrito and a couple beers. i'll certainly be back. The help were friendly and made you feel welcome. read more

Tijuana Flats - Mexican Near Me - Oldsmar, Florida

Way way way overpriced for what you get. Got a burrito with sides of rice and beans. What a joke. The shell wasn't even warmed. The sides came in little plastic condiment containers. I was hungry when I was done and it was over 10.00. I will never go back, I'll stick with Juans Mexican grill on main St in Dunedin. Twice as much for half the price. See you later. God forbid you ask for extra anything. Don't waste your time. read more

Food is good. Taco Tuesday is lots of fun because of the special. Lots and lots of people there for Taco Tuesday!!!!! Sauces are wonderful and there is a great selection. I like vadalia onion and Georgia peach - adds a zing. They had a Mexican Corn special in July and it was amazing - hope they do that again soon. Non-specials can be a little pricey. Staff checks on you when you eat in - refilling drinks and clearing the tables. Overall good food and friendly staff read more

Please be careful if you dine at this place. They will try to gouge you. We ordered some food. A lady who was taking our order asked if we wanted a rice inside burrito or outside. I said outside. She did not mention if rice is outside it is $2.75 more. Next thing I am finding out it is costing $2.75 more for rice if it is outside. I quibbled because the total bill was more than I expected. Then another lady came to help the first one. She and i went over the order again. This time the bill sounded ok. But if I was not being careful I would have paid $2.75 more on a total bill of about $19.00. I wonder how many people check their final bill before swiping their plastic card? read more

The service was super friendly and professional! The food came out quick and matched what I ordered exactly. Out of all of the Tijuana flats I've been to this one is by far the cleanest (Warning) the girls bathroom door will slam shut so be careful! Will definitely be back read more

Found part of a cockroach in my burrito and the manager, Dan Olsen, did not apologize. I was shocked that he did not refund what I paid for the meal, he only offered a new meal. Great, so I can eat another cockroach? No thank you! The 3 other people I was with could not eat another bite of their food, that was barely started. Yet, the manager refused to give money back or even apologize. If you like insects in your meal and a very greasy and wrinkled shirt manager who is better qualified to clean bowling shoes, then the Tijuana Flats on Tampa Road in Oldsmar Florida is the place to go. I will never understand how a restaurant like this would hire such an irresponsible manager. My friends and I will never go back! read more

This is my first time here and I walked in and the manager Dan made me feel so welcome and treated me like a valued customer- he explained the menu to me and I ordered crispy tacos and they were very tasty! He checked up on me to make sure I liked my food! The restaurant was clean and neat and the cashiers were all very friendly and they seemed to genuinely like working here because they have such a great manager! They also have cold draft and bottled beer! I will definitely be a repeat customer! Thanks Dan! read more

In my attempt to save time during lunch break i made an online-order. When I got to the restaurant I waited over 30 minutes . The restaurant was very busy during lunchtime, which is totally fine. Turned out my food was ready long ago. Even though i went to the counter to ask if it might be ready, no one checked. Food was cold. Wouldn't go back on lunch break. read more

This Tijuana Flats is very nice. The atmosphere is family friendly and the customer service is always great. I prefer this location more than the one in Westchase simply because the lighten is better. It is very nice and bright and you can see your food. The staff here is always pleasant and so willing to refill drinks. I especially like the way they handle orders. They greet you at the door and are so patient if you're deciding what you want to order. They explain the menu items and offer helpful suggestions of you're torn on what to order. The lighting is great for the sauce bar as it is easy to see and decide which flavor you want. There are several TVs around the restaurant and playing different things for all to enjoy. There is also outdoor seating that is comfy for guest to enjoy. I give this location 4 stars because sometimes they can be a tad slow on their service. read more

Best tacos in town! Love the sauce collection especially the smack my @$$ and call me sally one

Ordered food online at 6:50 to pick up at this location. 7:20 and I'm still waiting in the restaurant to get my order. Very unhappy and the service with employees is not good. read more

It's like an Outback Steakhouse and Taco Bell hooked up at an early age and is now stuck with a kid they called Tijuana Flats. Outback: Pre-teens opening the door, bubbling with energy and checking on you every two minutes. Taco Bell: quality of food, cheap and portions are huge. The place is "edgy", they have a hot sauce with "ass" in the title. If you get the tacos on Tuesday you get a free Ed Hardy shirt. read more

This is a chain. The first one I visited was in Orlando. The food is very good and consistent. They have a lot of custom and specialty hot sauces, which is for what they are known. If you aren't trying their hot sauces (they have mild ones), then you are missing out! Some may consider it a work-aurant instead of a restaurant, but after you order and sit down, they bring out your food and provide free soft-drink (and water) refills. They do have your standard bottled beer and some drafts. read more

I'm a big fan of this place!! I seriously have never seen a fast casual restaurant that has service this good. The food is typical fast casual - the portions are big for the tacos and burritos and are of good quality. Of late I've been ordering a salad and absolutely love their citrus vinaigrette! The service is what makes this place stand out... they race, literally race, to the door to open it for you, offer refills constantly and check on you better than any full service restaurant I've seen. Whoever does the hiring and the training here needs to teach others what to look for! They've managed to make a work environment fun for their staff and yet have their staff serious enough to take and look after their customers. Matter of fact, they write your name on your cup and the second time I was in there the server remembered my name. CRAZY Good Service! The only reason they did not get a 5 star is because it's not authentic Mexican food...but it is REALLY GOOD fast casual Mexican food! read more

Love this location of Tijuana Flats. Friendly and out going staff and good food! Will be back to this one again!

The service is horrible! This location is never busy but we always call ahead so food is ready for pickup. We placed order 15 minutes before arriving and once we got there we waited another 30 minutes for 2 items. We asked again how much longer and the worker advised it was just sitting on the back counter the entire time. Our food is now cold and no apology or explanation. read more

Last week on Tuesday my husband and child visited this place and as entering it looked okay and while trying to figure out what to eat the young lady just started getting our order all in a hurry no one behind us then we found our place to sit down I like all the different choices of salsas and another young lady cleaning around the floor good to know is kept clean and we were asked a few times if we needed something I'm glad they did and the food we ordered was delicious i ordered chicken nachos wow it was so good and husband ordered beef tacos and my son chicken nuggets and fries . A gentleman that works there opened our door as we walked out I would definitely try this place again and try different meals to be continued read more

Love me some Tijuana Flats and this location that I never visit didn't disappoint. It wasn't that crowded at peak dinner time on a Thursday evening and they had the Burrito, Chips, and Drink special going on as usual for Thursdays. The food came out quickly and in standard Tijuana Flats quality. The sauce bar was also well stocked and in good order. A good place to stop at if you're looking for some quick, cheap Mexican fast food. read more

Great food, quick service. What happened to all the female help. Oldsmar facility was all male on Tuesday the past week. Nothing wrong with that except that the girls they usually had working in there were so nice. Food is always hot and good, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Mexican food at a great price and quick service. read more

I just want to say this store has made quite the turn around. My husband and I ate here Monday night for the first time in almost a year. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff that night. The manager held the door for us immedietly grabbed a high chair for my daughter and asked us where we'd like to sit. On of the girls came over shortly after and took our order at the table, noticing we were struggling with an upset infant. The food came out quick and was perfect!! (Part of our issue in the past). Amazing guest service :) We will definitely be back to this location! read more

We were excited to finally try this place as we heard it was delicious. Oh it was awful we ordered through uber eats. Came within 30 minutes but gross. The enchiladas, tacos and quesadillas were Dried out. I couldn't tell if their was any cheese on the enchiladas. The rice was dry and we received a 3oz container of it I guess that's their double order. We barely ate any of it, was too scared we would get food poisoning. Taco Bell is better then this very poor food quality. read more

Good food but their service is terrible. Ordered online at 7pm, my husband arrived at the scheduled pick up time of 7:30 and food was not ready until 8:30. Seriously don't understand how it can possibly take their employees 1.5 hours to make two entrees. 2nd time in a row this has happened, had the same issue at the location on 580. Avoid unless you want to waste your evening waiting around read more

I missed this place. Taco Tuesday s are great!. So glad I'm back in town. This place has delicious fresh ingredient Mexican food. There is always a daily special and the service is outstanding.
