Our first time at any Tijuana Flat was this past Friday. We told the staff it was our first time and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The food was great. Very fresh. They even refill your Speciality dip. The sauces amazing. So fun that there is a sauce bar. They have beer which is so nice. We can't say enough about the staff and the manager. They were top notch with customer service! Amazing! We will totally be back to try more of the menu. read more

Maybe it's just me, but the ordering process at Tijuana Flats is somewhat painful. Especially when there's a large group. This particular location is slower than most. Food is average. Some items really stand out, but overall a little drab. This location is fairly kid-friendly. read more

This is my favorite Tijuana Flats branch!!! It is wide open and roomy with outdoor seating. The menu is the set franchise menu. That said the chimichangas, tacos and burritos are favorites. Their carnitas is very good. Despite their many salsa flavors they are not known for great salsa. The queso on the other hand is very popular. You order at he counter and then sit. Although they don't have full table service the servers are very quick to refill drinks and chips which is really all you need. They have great burritos, tacos, and such, but the best part of going there is trying all the different hot sauces. I always get a "thimble" of each of the hottest ones available. I love getting that endorphin high from eating a really spicy meal. It's only slightly painful for the first 5 minutes, then you kind of get numb to it, but the food still tastes good. Don't overdo it, though. Or you'll be humming that great Johnny Cash hit song the next morning. You know the one. read more

Good stuff! I realize Tijuana Flats is a chain, but I just moved to the area and experienced Tijuana Flats for the first time. My husband brought some home to me one day when we were busy and didn't have time to cook. He also brought me small containers of about five different hot sauces and said "I got you a few of their hottest ones to see if any of them are hot enough for you." Oh man!!! I love spicy food, but I was not prepared for how spicy almost all of their sauces are! So worth it, though. I like to go on Tuesdays for the $4 tacos. read more

I am not a person who does not give a benefit of doubt. This has happened for the third time in last month. One out of four orders was wrong and two out of three orders had very little refried beans since that is the main filler. They were really busy so they must had run out of supplies. read more

My favorite thing about TFs is their hot sauce bar. I know it's kind of gimmicky but I don't care. The chips are tasty and I love their tacos and Atom Bombs. The flavors are not necessarily out of this world or anything, but they are balanced and consistent. Being a teacher I appreciate the teacher discount on regular priced items. Tried this place because the locals said it was good. It was busy and I'm really confused as to why? The food was horrible! This place shames Tijuana MX. The service was awesome! They get a star for that but the food was NOT any type of Mexican, texmex style. It was like it came out of wonder bread land and hostess made it. I told them when I walked in it was my first experience. It was an opportunity to earn a regular customer. I WILL NOT BE BACK. The chips were so stale, I ordered a burrito there was no rice in it. No rice at all. It was a huge salt bomb so gross. The queso was substandard. So salty rice less burrito and 5 stale chips. I think I'll keep my money. read more

Im originally from Orlando where the first TF was built and I'm a huge fan of the restaurant! We recently moved to Tampa and were thrilled to see that we had a TF down the road. We have been to this TF on several occasions now and have been underwhelmed each time - with the worst experience being this last Friday night. ~Took forever to order. (15 mins) ~Took forever to receive food. (20 mins) My husband and daughters food was "fine" when it finally arrived but my nachos were horrible. The nachos must have sat under a heat lamp for 10+ mins and literally had no toppings on them. I attached a pic - it was really just a basket of chips with some burnt cheese, a little chicken and some guac. I wanted to speak with a manager- but not once did anyone come by and offer to refill our drinks or ask how the food was. Which is usually not the case at all - TF has always had great staff in Orlando. We ended up going to counter ourselves to ask for a refill and started to bus our own table when finally someone came over and took the plates from my husbands hands. At that point - i was just ready to go. Really disappointing - wont be going back anymore. :( read more

I've always been impartial to Tijuana Flats although lately I've been eating it more than usual being that the location on Bruce B Downs is right across from my job but I always say after eating it that something "just wasn't right". Tonight however nothing was right! I'm (we're) all surrounded by Tijuana Flats, they're all within a 5 mile radius of each other. The closest one to my house is the one on SR 54, where I ordered my food from tonight. To start off I called my order in ahead and was told the wait would be 7 minutes. I arrive to the restaurant and my food still isn't ready, granted one of the cashiers (female, Asian) asked me if would like a drink while I waited, I declined. From there I waited another good 10 minutes or so until another waitress/cashier asked me what I was waiting on. Turns out my order (dos enchiladas) had been sitting on the counter for minutes. I arrive back home ready to dig in only to be met by a soggy, cold enchilada. Thank god for the steak because without it the food would have had no flavor. So now I'm left sitting here with the remainder of wet corn tortillas pissed off, where's a Chipolte when you need one? Why is there not one in Wesley Chapel? Please save us from Tijuana dumps! read more

Used to be a very nice place to eat. I always hang out with friends after College years. Unfortunately, this place is in a very bad management lately. The place is so dirty. You can smell the old dirty towel had been used to clean the table, If you see inside, there were a lot of standing water, unorganize, unhealthy. They need to change the management or do better job. We won't be back to this place unless they will change the way they do restaurant business there. read more

I go to this location every Tuesday for "Taco Tuesday". Has a good deal for two hard or soft tacos, chips and a drink. This location seems to give you a little more meat than some of the other locations. It is large and spacious and the staff is always friendly. I have had both the beef and chicken tacos and burritos and I would recommend both. I love my sour cream and do have to order the large size to get enough for the way I like it. Be warned the large is really large. Usually is busy for Taco Tuesday but the line moves quick and the food comes out quick. read more

Talk about service? Well there wasn't any. I placed an online order and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I arrived at the specified time, checked in and was told it would only be a minute and they were just finishing it up. The fact that the couple who ordered behind me and sat at a table and received their food before me is unbelievable. After waiting for 20 minutes, someone finally notices it's on the counter, even though 3 people had come by and told me they were "checking" on my order, and proceeded to just serve other customers. I would much rather drive the extra 2 miles to the tijuana flats across town, at least there, you might get a shred of customer service. read more

Very nice atmosphere and a good lunch place. Food is fantastic and the staff is always helpful and polite. My first time there, I ordered the blackened chicken burrito. I was expecting a burrito with all the fixings and something that would fill my hungry stomach. I ended up with a partially filled burrito that was made up mostly of flour tortilla. The flavors were great, but definitely got cheated on my portion serving. I'm not a big guy and don't eat a lot and still felt as if I wasn't given enough food. This was disappointing after paying so much for a lunch. To have those prices, one would assume we'd get a decent sized serving. My other complaint is the sauce station. Not sure why they assume people only use a teaspoon of sauce, but I found it rather annoying to have to fill 3-4 of those tiny cups to get enough sauce. Would definitely like to see these things changed before I give it an additional star. read more
