The Class: The instructor is full of energy. Doing work out routines with music. Similar to Zumba but music is totally different from Latin music. It is fun to learn a few Middle Easter dance moves~ In the class, they also use dumbbells and resistance band, adding a little bit more challenge! Never underestimate "Dance Workout" because I do sweat & out of breath some point during the class. The Parking: Plenty of street parking right in front of the studio (free). They also have a few parking spots in the rear of the building. Look for the colorful balloons in front of the studio, you won't miss it!

As many start their New Year resolutions to focus on better health and exercise, I want to share this moment of gratitude. A month ago, a generous personal trainer and nutrition coach messaged to say that I had won his recent contest for a month of training. When I say that this was the grace that I needed, it may be an understatement. It encouraged the athlete in me to reawaken and get back to it! Tig, he was the most patient, kind and wonderful coach. He communicated, encouraged and made sure the pace was right to ensure a safe workout each time. He has so many programs, classes and opportunities for workouts! I cant recommend him enough and thank him for getting the resolution started early. Today is as good as any to simply start.

I received on my Internet an invitation to go to defense…read morepractice organization for a 1 hour Presentation on how to shoot weapons, including high powered weapons and learn about self defense. I thought that sounds like a lot of fun. So I called the number and was able to secure an appointment a week later and received several emails during that week. Asking me to check off and sign a waiver and also told I could invite a friend. I decided to invite my best friend and later. We decided what day we could go and signed up. We got there a few minutes early and this place was really nice in burbank right off the five freeway near bueno vista avenue and found a parking spot and went in to the front where we were greeted by a receptionist who had us fill out the waiver again and check all the boxes and sign it, and then we were good to go. A very large man came out and said he was our trainer. And his name was robert, and he was an ex army man who had been stationed overseas and had.I've been in many real life.Dangerous situations in combat. He showed us many different training rooms, where he explained that they don't use real guns with real bullets, but they use laser guns or bullets that were round. And made of rubber. Different rooms taught different types of training. Including learning self defense techniques where people can basically learn many types of moves that they can make if somebody were to be attacking them. And they did not have a weapon or didn't want to start by using a weapon. He then took us into our own private training room and explained different laws and different techniques of how you should respond in Different scenarios and then put on videos for us to practice with. But the first thing he did was show us a target and had us use laser guns to aim and fire at a target. He taught us how to get a gun out of our holster properly. And how to aim and shoot and first in a relaxed situation. And then in a real life type scenario with a video in front of us, we were ask to respond as if it were a real life situation. All in all we both learned a lot. How to fun time? And at the very end, we were offered a membership for twelve months.Although it was a little expensive for our pocket books, it was tempting. And if I were maybe thirty years younger, I probably would have gone for it kind of like a gym membership. In any event, it was a great experience. And fun, and we learned a lot about the laws. And how you can defend yourself. And when you can shoot, and when you cannot shoot. So I do think it was worth the hour-long training just to learn that. And had a fun time, so I strongly recommend it, and I will take a picture of Roberts business card. So, if you would like to go to your 1 hour training session, you might call them up and see if you can't at least go. And check it out, like I did. And then you may decide you want to do it twice a month for a year, or longer.

U.D.T. a.k.a. Until Dollars Terminate!…read more I saw an ad online, went to check it out in person. Took a brief intro class, was brought into a room, and then pitched a deal so sweet, so persuasive, so promising, how could I say no? (I mean all they didn't offer were the keys to the building.) So in this strange pressured situation type deal, I signed up. BUT I still had questions... Like why am I stuck in a YEAR contract? And I can't change my mind or cancel past the initial 45-day time frame? Why couldn't I check out or try out the classes before committing? I wasn't even going to be able to start TODAY, but the guy had the gift of gab, and assured me it would be okay. Then promptly charged my card THE SAME DAY! I attended one session, it was cool... but still felt a little like eh.. Then I had to take a business trip out of town. This was an issue because I wouldn't be able to get the full experience of the trial, and without that how could I decide that it was for me or not? So called and explained the situation, and asked for an extension of the trial time. Well they had to call up the White House then eventually called me back. It seemed like an act of Congress to finally get the bill passed, to give me 15 more days! But after kissing up to the president and telling him how much of a nice guy he was, I guess they got the extension. So the REP called, told me I had 15 more days and off we went. But then the business trip got extended. I tried to tell the business people that I had to get back so I could attend my U.D.T. classes, since they never stopped charging me, even though I only attended once during the trial period. But then they were like, you want UDT or U want this rent money. And obviously UDT was not going to let me stay there... I mean they weren't that nice! So hit the rep again and let him know that I had to cancel A.S.A.P. I reviewed the contract again, and based on the extension I was given by the rep, I was still within my trial period, so I quickly sent an email to the office. The rep was nice and seemed to understand. The office went silent. Before I used to get an answer every time... now, they were like "excuse me, who are you again?" So called for like 3 days with no answer. Then I get an answer and tell them the situation, and well... They could charge my card and take my money instantly without needing management approval! But although they received my cancellation email etc... they had to again meet with Congress! And I guess Congress was on vacation in Hawaii or something, but rest assured WHENEVER THEY GET BACK... WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AND REACH OUT! (And apparently they are still gone... I'm sure making good use of my $200 a month). Well I argued back and said I don't understand... I cancelled and haven't attended classes, so why no refund? The lady then told me... well your card was charged on ___ day when you signed up, and even though you haven't been here, and informed us you would have to be out of the country, it's past 45 days now! So you don't qualify for your refund! Then I said hold on there Susie hot pants! I talked to the rep, they gave an extension and I actually have another week before the deadline! Her response was... "well if they know about it then they will let us know." And you know what happened next?? ANOTHER MONTHLY CHARGE TAKEN FROM MY ACCOUNT!!! Let's recap: Didn't use the membership classes, based on the extension I was given, I was still in my trial period, sent an email notifying them of cancellation, sent several messages to the rep, and still charged! All while waiting for the mysterious owner to get back and have YET to hear back till this day!! So I had to literally take things into my own hands and work with my bank to get it resolved! I then did some digging on them and guess what, I found multiple complaints on the BBB website describing experiences similar to mine (which I am headed to next to add my complaint)! This is insane! And again no follow-up, just crickets while they charge my card monthly for services I haven't even used! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! There are other options that are much better! Based on my experience, I felt like collecting my membership payments became a much higher priority than resolving my concerns. And once you're in... it felt nearly impossible to get out! (Well you can, but not the money they want to charge you for a year.) If it had really felt like resolving my situation was the priority, then Mr. President would have called to resolve this long before I had to write this review...!! I think I have been going through this since the end of May when I signed up! Serve your country in the military, become a veteran, only to have companies like this treat you this way! And I have never been treated this way with any other company! I will be sure to spread the word with my veteran and other communities to stay away from this organization!

Months ago, I lost my grandmother's ring. Poof. Gone. Somewhere in the gym, that ring was twinkling around, and I could not find it. This was ALSO the day my hot water heater died, so I desperately needed a shower and it was just -- I was spazzing. Carley, one of the wonderful receptionists, scoured the gym with and for me. She checked corners, retraced steps, talked me down from CrazyTown, and pulled out a broom to do a literal sweep. She found it. I just. GIRL. 2. Today, a woman who cut me off and brake-checked me repeatedly *followed me into the gym parking lot*. I entered the space pretty frazzled and shaky after the altercation. I would like to preface this review by saying that every member is entitled to their opinion. And…read morethat one of the hardest parts of running any business is keeping all of its clients happy But I had noticed something different recently in the vibe of classes but couldn't put my finger on it until I read a recent review pointing out some "negative" issues with the trainers. I'd like to offer a different perspective because I do feel like changes made in policy in reaction to one persons review have now created a downgrade in my experience when coming to this F45 First of all, bringing energy and motivation to group fitness classes is one of the hardest things to do on a daily basis. So when coaches are actively training along side members during classes I feel like it's bringing a level of energy that otherwise can be missing. It's one thing to offer verbal encouragement but another to show it. I know for myself, it lifts my energy level up when coaches are active participants in class. I know I'm giving 110% that day if they're in it with me. Also in regards to dancing and filming during class. Again, it's about perspective. Dancing, is also part of creating energy in the class atmosphere. It's putting smiles on faces when you're struggling thru your workout or your life. Part of having the two coach format, is not so that they can stand on opposite sides of the room and clap their hands. If they are interactive and play off each other, I would consider it a positive thing. Filming often makes it onto social media which helps to promote the business, I'm sure the coaches goal is not to portray themselves on social media as lazy people who are goofing off during work. I think it may be misconstrued that because the coaches are actively participating in classes or finding different ways to motivate or entertain people. That they are somehow "not doing their job" But I find that that's not the case. They're still aware of the clients, giving direction, offering encouragement, and giving corrections on form. I would like to point out that diversity in types of coaches and coaching styles is actually key in the group fitness format. The best way to attract from a larger more diverse client pool is to foster an environment where not every coach feels like the same carbon copy of every other coach that just clocks in and "does the thing" Also to finish. Community, is one of the HARDEST things to build in any gym. And when you're building community then your personal lives outside the gym starts to blend in with members personal lives. So you can call it "drama or high school" but that's what happens when you blend friendships that extend outside the gym. Those friendships are genuine and the time fostering community is always uncompensated, but again add up to memberships that benefit the business. Just because there are conversations had that aren't... wow that Marathon, that was a tough one. Station 3 what a killer. Doesn't mean that that needs to be taken away. Please don't turn this into some corporate robot gym
