I loved her playlist and it had some great Latin spice to it to really add a great energy and vibe to the class. She did a great job of breaking down the exercises and explained well how to execute each one properly. She even walked around to ensure we were all doing it correctly and gave helpful adjustments when needed. The class consisted of students of all levels and was accessible to everyone. I myself haven't done Pilates in several months, so I loved how easy it was to jump back in! The studio consists of several reformers, all of which were in great condition. All the props you need are at each reformer, along with a chair in front, which we used for some of the exercises. The studio is conveniently located in downtown Burbank, with easy parking across the street at one of the free lots. It can get a bit parked up at night, but I always manage to find a spot when I'm in the area!

I took my FIRST ever Pilates class here with Cynthia as the instructor. I had a great experience, check in was easy, and I came 10 min early so I could get a quick crash course of the reformer that was going to be used in the class. Cynthia was mindful to ask if I had any pain, injuries, or anything else for her to keep in mind throughout the class. She made sure to come fix my posture and anyone else in the class to properly challenge ourselves safely. Classes are maybe up to 10 people MAX so you can be sure you'll be attended to. So far I've taken two classes and they have been full body workouts. I appreciate that they've started on time and leave me learning about my fitness level. I'll be coming back more! *Note- I used classpass*

It does affect how you are able to perform some of the exercise exercises. Reason 2: The instructor did not ask if I had any injuries, which most instructors do. I was a couple minutes late, so maybe that's why she didn't ask. But seriously most instructors want to know if there's injuries or anything so clients don't hurt themselves.

6 months ago, I was in so much pain from a back injury that I could barely get off the couch…read more Today, I just finished my 70th class! All of that is because of Personal Pilates. I tried several other studios and none of them had the joy and thoughtfulness I've experienced at Personal Pilates. They really mean personal! All of the instructors have done a great job tailoring the moves to fit my injuries and specific body. Kim's basics class has been particularly game changing. She really explains things in depth, and the pace is slow enough that it's easy to ask questions. But that doesn't mean it's not a workout! I always leave sweating. Most importantly, this place feels like a community. The people are kind and welcoming. As a plus size person, I often feel anxious in exercise spaces, worried that people are making judgements about my body, or that the instructors dont know how to adapt moves in a way that actually works, or that they might make offhanded negative or cruel comments about fat people, or even just overemphasize external changes and weight loss over strength, endurance, and enjoyment. I haven't experienced any of that here. In fact, the instructors at personal Pilates have been extremely helpful and accommodating about personalizing the work without making me feel any different than other students. And the students are all ages and sizes, which also helps! Lastly, at other Pilates studios I have sometimes felt sort of... like I'm inside of instagram. Like it's all about aesthetics. That's not the case here. This is really a place to enjoy what your body can do and get stronger. There isn't even a mirror, which I really love. I can't recommend it enough.

Working with Janice has brought such a positive shift to our lives (we'd both been working from home and out of a workout routine for a few years). She welcomes all levels and meets you exactly where you are. She listens, adapts, and thoughtfully addresses whatever your body needs that day. If you're looking for something that will both center and challenge you, this is the place. We absolutely love Janice and cannot recommend her enough! There are plenty of group classes out there, but working with Janice is simply more effective, her personalized approach and deep understanding of movement make all the difference.

I started sessions with Janice at the beginning of the year. My intentions for Pilates were both…read morenoble and vain. Noble in the sense that I have finally realized I can't keep beating up my body through hours of sitting and very recalcitrant bursts of exercise. Vain in that I had just moved to LA and wanted to get super hot. Because this is the town of the very beautiful person. Enter Janice. From the moment we did our intake call, I could tell that she knew exactly how I could address both my functional concerns (ex. chronic neck and back pain, anteverted shoulders, stiffness) while also addressing the more cosmetic goals I had (namely, toning and definition, especially of my core/abdomen). Our first session was a great mixture of me learning the reformer and her figuring out the best ways to motivate/teach me. I signed up for a twenty-pack and have greatly enjoyed every hour I get to spend with her. It's been only three months but I can feel my body changing. I am more aware of how I sit, how I stand, and how I move. I can identify the specific muscles I need to use when doing exercises and have learned to really enjoy core work, something you could not have paid me enough money in the world to pretend to like in the past. More than anything, Janice is great at helping you feel in control of your body and your overall wellness. There's no magic bullet to it. Just consistent exercise, being aware of how you are feeling, and intentionality. I look forward to training with her for many years to come.

Therapists at imperial also told me that i should probably never run again to avoid further damage to the disk. Imagining never being able to play any sports or workout the way i want to, sent me into depression for a couple of months. One fine day i decided enough was enough and asked the doctor to send me to another PT. Discovering Core Conditioning was a blessing. Leffel studied my posture and symptoms, and diagnosed the hyper lordosis and the pelvic tilt in minutes. Fast forward 3 months, working on red chord has sent my core strength higher than it has ever been, and as a result the hyper lordosis is almost all gone. The pelvic tilt also disappeared completely with the dynamic stretches they showed me. I am back to working out in the gym (albeit following all the cautionary stretches, form), and running. :) It really felt like the advice i was getting at CC from the PTs , came from years of careful study and practical implementation and never bloated ego. So glad i found this place, they gave my active life back to me.

PILATES - I was referred to this place by a friend and neighbor who goes to PT in studio city. I…read morelike the fact that there are only four reformers here so the class is small. I should've paid attention to some of the red flags. They are very limited classes. Sometimes you logon in the class is canceled. I could not find anything on their website that tells you how long a class is good for or a package if you buy one, and how soon you have to cancel your reservation without penalty. I tried to call the Burbank location multiple times but never got a person to speak with. So I went ahead and bought one class. I scheduled that class for Saturday morning at 8:30. Showed up at 8:18. I buzzed the door to get in. The first 10 seconds was silence. A lady that was working there that buzzed me in was doing a private with someone else. She asked who I was there for because she was the only one there that day. I proceeded to tell her that I was signed up for the 830 class. She told me she was unaware of one. I then apologetically said oh let me look at my app to make sure I didn't get the day and time wrong. I opened up the app and the class is now marked is canceled. No notification in the app, no email, no phone call, nothing. Just canceled without warning. The lady offered no apology. Just told me they send notifications through the app (they didn't) I always find it quite frustrating that you penalize customers for not canceling within a certain time period but you don't give the same respect to your patrons. I sent an email on Saturday, and got a response on Tuesday that my request for the payment to be credited back to my account would be granted, along with an acknowledgment of the instructor not sending a message out in the app. The person also did offer an apology. It's a very poor way to do business. It was a horrible first impression and I will never go back here. I hope they use this to do better for future customers.
