I had a very disappointing experience at Row House, particularly with Christina at the front desk. From the moment I interacted with her, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome . She looked me up and down, blatantly ignored some of the questions I asked, and spoke to me in a way that made me feel as though she assumed I knew absolutely nothing. I understand that customer service can be stressful, but I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect when I'm asking legitimate questions. Unfortunately, Christina's attitude came across as extremely rude and hostile, and it left a very negative impression of the company. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the way customers are being treated. read more

This Row house location has been one of my favorite places to workout in. The instructors and front desk specially Christian are very friendly very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable to any questions you may have. The first time I stepped into Row House Granada Hills, I was hesitant -- I was nervous the physical component would be overwhelming, that the coaches would be overbearing, and that it would be a miserable experience. I was wrong. From my first conversation with Presley, I was put at ease. In fact, every, single coach I have worked with has inspired me, has been encouraging, and has pushed me in and with positivity. The row sessions are a challenge, absolutely, but being able to tell that my stamina and endurance have increased session after session, week after week, has kept me coming back. But really what's kept me coming back are the supportive people. Kudos to Christina for always going above and beyond and making me feel like a valued member of the community--and welcoming friends who I am eagerly encouraging to join up as members as I have done. I've been a member of this AMAZING studio for about 3 years now. Let me tell you, I'm still as in love with it as day 1. The whole atmosphere is intoxicating. The coaches are phenomenal and extremely attentive and caring to each members individual needs. I usually go to the 6:00am classes...so you KNOW I'm not fully awake and ready to party...but every time I walk in, Christina is there with a smile on her face and and big GOOD MORNING!!!! Such a great experience! I tried the Restore class today with Coach Edward and he was very helpful in the beginning of class and throughout the class. The class was a combination of rowing, yoga, and stretching/mobility. It's low impact and works out your whole body. You have to concentrate on tightening your core and really focus on your posture. It's a great class, in my opinion to supplement my strength training. Not to mention the Studio is clean. I purchased some packages- so I'll be back for sure. read more

I started Row house June 2022-December 2022... I had to postpone my membership due to a scheduled surgery... long story short I got covid right before surgery and my surgery got cancelled/rescheduled for end of January (so that I had time to recover) . Funny thing is I was more sad knowing I lost time in rowing rather than the rescheduling my surgery date. Once I was recovered from covid and holidays were done with I thought let me get a fancy rower see if I like it? What a great idea right? NOPE, WRONG! Let me tell you it's been 1 week that I've used my fancy rower and gosh I hate it! I miss my classes at RowHouse. When it comes to rowing it is more than a machine it's an experience. You grow a bond with the coaches, the style of classes and each coach has different goals for your class. I would get asked all the time if you like rowing so much why not invest in a good machine. You can buy the fanciest machine with "live " classes and different perks but they do not compare. In a way I'm glad a bought the machine to test the theory, and I'm glad I'm able to return it because once I'm recovered I'm going straight back to RowHouse! Trust me when I tell you they are 10000% worth it! read more

Let me start by saying I despise exercise. I started in April (First Class is FREE!), and I have been going 3x a week since! Love the workout because it doesn't hurt my back, and you get to sit down. The coaches are amazing, shout out to Diandra because she is life, and Christina for being so supportive! I had tried to respond to the owner via email but I am not sure if he wrote back as I do not have a message. Quick update: I am so sad to see Ed go and I ended up leaving RH. I wanted to provide a quick update to the owner. A big reason why I was disappointed in the facility was the trash talking from Christina. When RH had a get together at a restaurant, Christina was dishing out the drama and personal details about members. I was turned off. I spoke to a member about this and he talked to Christina. After that, Christina was rude to me including Valeria (front desk worker). Neither would say hi to me so I ignored them. I then noticed the favoritism so I moved on. I should have left years ago but I stayed because of the workout. Once one of the members, Kathy D., disliked me because of this situation it became uncomfortable so I just left. Rowing is awesome and I genuinely love it but the cliques, favoritism, "invite this person but don't invite this person" is old. To respond to the owner, I do not think its appropriate for employees to write reviews when they are working for you. I highly doubt they would write a mean review. Side note! She clearly explained the foot setting and the proper body positioning and the workout for the day. I loved the row experience. The music was great and the studio vibe was amazing. I started my RowHouse experience after a very vulnerable and difficult previous 8 months time of my life, in March 2023. It has been the most amazing experiences and I am so thankful for this place that has become my haven. I have not only grown physically stronger, but mentally. The staff are so supportive and full of friendly smiling faces. I have a sense of camaraderie among my classmates. The workout is unlike anything I've ever done before, and this is coming from someone who spent years doing Spin classes, peloton, CrossFit, and outdoor cardio. I love how I get a low impact full body cardio workout with great Music, and strength train, along side awesome people! Wow. Where do I begin? Super excited even before the studio opened its doors. After taking the first class I knew I had to sign up ASAP. First off, the exercise itself. Rowing is a beast of a workout (85% of your muscles?). Every super fit person I know has told me that rowing kicks their butt. Add to that the fact that it's low impact and it makes for an intense workout. They offer full row classes or classes where you get off the erg (look at me sounding like a seasoned rower) and use weights or your body weight to add to the exercise. The studio itself is super clean. I love that you can pick your rower in app. They give you a towel to use every time you go. The mix of good music and the lighting they use to get you in mood for pushing yourself further than you thought you could go. I've only had classes with Adria and she is amazing. She has motivated me to push harder and I already see my split times lower over three classes. Can't wait to take more classes with you and also meet the other coaches at some point. And whoever made that mobile app is a genius. Super easy to book classes and also see your progress. Add to that being able to meet goals (and get free swag for accomplishing them - I got my eyes on you 1 million meter backpack). So glad you guys are in the neighborhood. A long overdue review!!! This Row House location is the best one I've been to. As an unlimited member, I have been to quite a few! There is really a great sense of community here. Members and coaches celebrate each other's accomplishments. People socialize with each other before and after classes. Even as a visitor, members recognized me and asked me where I was when they didn't see me for awhile. Coach Ed is such a motivation and inspiration. He really goes above and beyond. He's brings such a presence and energy to each class. I used to drive almost 40 miles each way to take classes here when visiting LA. Another visit is due soon. During the heart of the pandemic, they did everything to keep classes safe. Everything was meticulously wiped down, everyone was serious with wearing masks, and they even provided mats for floor exercises. This Row House location is a gem. I went in for a free trial class. Very clean space, kind and caring staff at the front desk, good music, lighting, and supportive instructor, Brandon. All that said, 20 minutes in I knew this was going to exacerbate some hip issues I already have, so I slipped out. Again the front desk staff were kind, asked if they could help in any way, and encouraged me to try again in the future if I change my mind. I joined this studio in December of 2024. I had never rowed before, but was told that Row House welcomed in all shapes, levels of experience, and was non-judgmental. They welcomed me in that first day by placing a sign next to my Erg with my name on it and had everyone in the class acknowledge and welcome me at the beginning and at the end. I had a fantastic first class! I was quickly hooked. Due to my schedule I frequently took classes with Diandra who is incredibly motivating with her high energy, comedic timing, and most importantly her AMAZING play lists. Also love taking classes with Presley. Christine is a fantastic front office manager, is quick to answer any questions, solve any concerns, always there to greet everyone with a smile, and has the cutest doggie!!! I had an scheduled appointment at Row House today on my only day off after a long work week and taking advantage that my daughter is at school. The appointment was at 12:00 and arrived a few minutes before excited when this angry women name Christine, tells me that I am not allowed in the class. I explained that I have an scheduled appointment but she refused to me in, saying I had to arrive earlier to an appointment at 12:00. I kept telling her that I am on time in fact a few minutes earlier, yelling at me ask me leave. I feel discriminated against by this awful women. I asked her for the owner or manager and she refused to give me any information. I feel awful and I don't understand how people that her exist. She had so much Evil in her eyes. She scared me so much that left running. If your are Latino don't go here they will maltreat you. First Anthony you were not present and Yes your receptionist was discriminative towards me. 2nd someone from your shop scheduled my appointment and it was never mentioned I had to be there 15 min before or she could have scheduled my appointment at 11:45 instead because I was open to the time. Christina maltreated your customers and you defend her? You might not discriminated but she does. She does not belong in your front desk. She has no customer service skill. read more

I stumbled upon Row House after a trip to the nearby TJMaxx. I happened to notice all the rowers out in the parking lot as part of their effort to offer safe outdoor classes during the pandemic. Intrigued, I researched the studio and it seemed like a nice place to dive back into working out after "exercising" at home for the past year. Additionally, rowing didn't seem so bad of a sport to do while wearing a mask, so I eventually set up my first (free) class with Ed, the studio manager. Ed was so nice when he checked me in and showed me how everything worked. He also happened to teach the class. I liked his positive attitude and the other people in class were genuinely friendly, so I decided to take advantage of their promo for newbies. After that promo ran out, I decided to become a member because the studio is so supportive and rowing is a great workout. I'm typically into weightlifting and running, but rowing is low impact, which has been great as I try to get back into pre-pandemic shape. Classes (both indoor and outdoor) are conveniently scheduled, parking is super easy, the workouts are very efficient and effective, and all of the instructors are top notch!
