I have planned on getting a hummingbird tattoo in honor of my grandfather since his passing in 2015. A little over a month ago I realized I was ready and began searching for an artist. I stumbled across Lily's Yelp page. after searching for "watercolor tattoo." The tattoo of a paw print with watercolor style foliage did it for me. I got excited like a little kid does the night before going to Disneyland and promptly contacted her. I decided to have a consultation first to make sure Lily was the right artist for me. She went over the design in minute detail, asking me questions I never even thought to ask! I gave her a picture for inspiration, but I wanted her to make it her own. She did that and more. I arrived at the shop (which is awesome btw), and it was just the two of us. Lily finalized the design based on my input and let me pick the music for us. I was 100% comfortable at all times. She showed special attention to keeping everything sterile and organized. I sat for about 2 hours, and the finished product more than speaks for itself. I am honored to have this piece of art. Lily outdid herself, and I for sure will be getting another piece from her some day.

I originally contacted Lily for my friend to get a tattoo. After checking out some of her work I decided I would get one also. Friday she did a beautiful piece for me. Ugh!!! I have been wanting to post a review for months now!!!! So here I am reviewing.... first I want to start off by saying is Lilly had a sweet nice....calm demeanor.... made you feel comfortable....so thank you for that.... I was trying to find a better picture of my tattoo to post so sorry for the not great quality.... but I did and continue to get compliments on my tattoo.... everyone says it looks so good it looks fake because the colors are so vibrant and the tat is so perfect!! Definitely a great investment putting my money on Lilly.... after this baby is born I look forward to getting more tattoos with her..... I got my tattoo in April or May I forget.....

I got my first tattoo done a month ago by Lily and I am so happy with it. I have been wanting to get a Born This Way tattoo for about 8 years already. This was inspired by my favorite artist. I had searched for a tattoo artist for many months and stumbled on Lily's page on Yelp. I looked at her Instagram and was impressed by her amazing work. I was a bit nervous contacting Lily and asking for a recreated work since I know artists take pride in doing original pieces. Lily was happy to make this happen for me. I made a consultation appointment and saw her within a few days and she explained the process to me. I had never stepped foot in a tattoo parlor so I was nervous about that too. However, the other tattoo artists were nice and I felt a bit more comfortable. I got my tattoo done on May 3rd and I just can't stop looking at it. Lily was very attentive throughout the whole process and would ask how I was doing every so often. I felt very comfortable with her which was something I was hoping for. After my tattoo was done she took the time to explain to me the aftercare procedure and told me to contact her with any questions. The aftercare made me nervous, but I'm glad I could text her and ask her about application of ointments and lotion. Very good experience and I am hoping I can get my second tattoo done by her. This time an original piece. I have already received compliments on my tattoo and a couple of people have asked me for her IG page where they can see some other amazing work.

I found Lily while looking for a tattoo artist to add to an existing tattoo. I was drawn to the fact that she is a real artist (with an actual art degree). I have been going to her for the last couple of months getting a half sleeve (well 1/3 sleeve lol) and love all the work she has done. I can tell her an idea and she brings it to life like if she gets in my brain and can actually see what I am picturing. I get a lot of compliments on her work and plan on getting a lot more work done by her. Oh and she is pretty cool too!

Lily is awesome at least; not only did she make sure I was getting what I wanted done, but she helped me fully fledge out the idea I had based off some of my favorite work of her's. I first got my tattoo done April 26th for my 18th birthday (first tattoo wooo) and just got back from my touch-up to finish and perfect the piece! She walked me through every step of the healing process as well as the shock/pain of a first tattoo. Beyond my own feelings of gratitude, even before it was completely finished I was getting compliments not only from friends but from tattoo gurus! One well-tatted lady who happened to be married to another amazing tattoo artist told me "Oh that's too-notch. Not everyone could do something like that." It's everything I wanted. I am absolutely in love with it. Every time I'm feeling down I look at it and it's exactly what I wanted means as much to me as I could ever hope. I love it so much! I'll add some pictures now of the process and what it looked like before touch up and will post the final masterpiece once it's all healed (I have a tendency to swell up quite a bit). Can't wait to work with Lily on the addition and next piece! PS- she's a really awesome person to talk to which is always a nice aspect from someone pricking you with lil needles for 4+ hours straight. read more

She was very explanatory when it came to the whole process since this was my first tattoo. I usually get my tattoos in LA but wanted to find someone local for me to just designate all my work to.. I am an art school graduate and currently work as a graphic designer and photographer. Im not easily impressed but when I came across Lily's work, I had this feeling in my stomach that I may have found my artist who I can trust my body art to. Tattoo is a delicate and sensitive matter since it will in most cases stay forever.. The work was not only for myself but for my wife as well. Even more sensitive that I have to trust the artist with my wifes body too. When we walked in, shop was very clean and Lily was hospitable and very professional. She was very calm but sensitive enough to take a moment to focus right before she grabbed the needle to start. Our work was a thin and delicate design and WOW!! SUPERB WORK! ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE SEEN SO FAR!!!! RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! Im going back soon to finally start my long overdue work! read more

Lily is the ONLY person I'll trust to give me a tattoo from now on. Unlike a lot of tattoo artists Lily is a legitimate ARTIST! At first she did an addition to a small tattoo of mine and I was SO impressed that I had her custom draw my next forearm piece and she BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER!!! SO Amazed! I've had work done at some of the most highly recognized shops in Hollywood and I can honestly say that Lily's work is by far my favorite tattoo. Thanks for my Mobster Penguin Lily!!! From the very first message, the entire experience was incredibly smooth and pleasant. MJ was highly communicative leading up to our appointment date. I had a lot of ideas, and she was extremely patient and accommodating as we went back and forth on styles. She even had me come in for a quick, in-person consultation beforehand, which was fantastic because it made collaborating and aligning our visions face-to-face so much easier. On the day of the session, the process was amazing. MJ constantly checked in to ensure I was comfortable. She has a remarkably light hand, there were moments where it felt like nothing at all. I highly recommend MJ, especially if you are looking for traditional abstract brushstroke work, though her talent and professionalism make it clear she can adapt to whatever style you throw her way. While in line though, saw specials they had for piercings and I've always wanted to get a 2nd piercing on my ear lobes and re pierce my left helix. So, I filled out forms for each! Everyone was super nice, helpful, and efficient. Azia (@piercingsmostdope) completed my piercings first and was on it! She was informative of the process, made sure to verify I liked the area she'd be piercing and walks you through it as she's doing it. She's awesome and there was little pain/pinching. Lizett (@inkbypineda) was who I got for my tattoo and she was phenomenal! I love her whole vibe and personality. She was upbeat and also quick and efficient with her process. I absolutely plan on coming back here for any future piercings and tattoos and hope to stay working with Azia and Lizett specifically when I do!

And i am so happy that I decided to do so. Nancy did my Brazilian and was very detail oriented and quick. She used the hot wax and paper method with small sections. I can't say enough about the artist Lily and her amazing work! This was my third somewhat large body art. I am VERY particular. I research dozens and dozens of local artists and then follow them on social media to see their work before I choose. Lily's artwork is by far some of the best work around. Lily is super professional and very positive and supportive. She makes you feel like your work is her top priority, which is quite a difference from some of the artists I've found that responded like I was more of a bother than a possible opportunity. My chest piece took over five hours and the "pain" was minimal. Lily never took a break by her choice. I had picked my Wolf's Paw artwork about eight years ago, but Lily immediately saw the artistry in it and made it better than I could have imagined. I enjoy using different artists, but I was so impressed with Lily, her attitude, but most of all her work, that I will only be using her for future work. I can't recommend her enough! Lily is not just a talented tattoo artist with an art degree. She cares about her clients, her work, and her entire industry. In speaking to Lily and explaining that I wanted Calla lilies as my very 1st tattoo in memory of my Grammy (abuelita) she knew exactly what I wanted and began drawing freehand on my leg, I loved the sketch and trusted her implicitly.
