Not a "Hi, Hello, How are you?" when you walk up to the cashier. I'm not sure where that lack of hospitality comes from but I've stopped coming here as often as I was. Oof, I think not unfortunately. I've tried Tiger Tea House a couple times, and unfortunately it's more sugar water than any semblance of tea. Service has been very friendly and the shop itself is very cute, but unfortunately the products fall short for me. Grapefruit green tea -- I could taste the grapefruit syrup, the drink was refreshing with half a cup of ice, but I searched and searched for any tea flavor and couldn't find it. It's a hefty price for a cup of grapefruit water. Taro milk tea -- honestly one of the worst taro milk teas I've had in a while, definitely not real taro and overwhelmingly sweet. Pearls were really undercooked and bordered on crunchy as well. Matcha oolong -- I had such high hopes for this drink because matcha and oolong are two of my favorite teas, but it fell pretty flat. I could sort of taste the matcha but it was watered down and rather bitter, and the oolong was a faint whisper of the roasted tea I was expecting. With Gong Cha now open in Visalia, Tiger Tea has some stiff competition. I don't believe I'll be back. read more

The dude and I came here on 5/22/21 as we were in the area and craving Boba. We found the location fairly easily and l loved the cute Tiger Graphics. Parking can be limited so beware during high peak times! We were not instantly greeted upon entering as there was a gathering of 20 plus people inside (looked like a professional work function as everyone was dressed up). The owner was handling it all by himself which was impressive. As we got closer to the counter we were greeted and he was ready to take our order but we were not ready at all. We needed some time to scan the menu which he went back to working on the big order. He eventually came back to us and took our order. I had a series of questions which he did appear to get inpatient with me as I wanted to know what the non diary options were which there were none initially but he did share he can make it dairy free on the Matcha Latte I was eying. Then I went on to the sweet level which I wanted no sweetner that's how I like my lattes. The dude got the Taro drink. Our drinks took a while to be finished as the owner was working on the larger order still so we got to get to know the place really well. The large party some people were standing on the furniture which was in our opinion disrespectful to property but the owner was fine with it so are we xD we are just customers but definitely know our etiquette in a heart beat. Our drinks were finally up and I my drink definitely had no sugar just how I like it. Bitter and strong Matcha that's how you know you have the real deal! Not the fake Starbucks drinks! I would rate my drink 7/10 it was good but not the best I had. The dudes Taro drink was underwhelming but he liked it so that's all that matters. It's a "YES!" The Peach Berry Tea w/ boba is delicious & super refreshing! Strangely enough, there's not really a strong presence of neither peach nor berry, but the drink has a lovely evident blend of fruit(s) & tea (yum!). The fresh fruits included in this drink are lime, lemon, raspberry, & peach chunks. The boba itself is okie dokie--nice chew, but no standout features related to temperature, flavor, or otherwise. This place is so bizarre! I had the honeycomb Tiger tea and it came with little sunflowers in there and I was like there is no way this can be good. Took my first sip and I was flabbergasted! I could not believe how much flavor was in there and it was absolutely remarkable. Another thing that caught my eye is that they kept the place exceptionally clean and it really brought me comfort while being there for a lot of places recently have not been doing that so often. This is my third time coming here and I have nothing but good things to say. Located in the heart of Hanford, in the middle of all the quaint stores and shops, it has a nice setting outside and with the park so close, it provides a great seat to enjoy your tea at. Anyways, upon entering the staff is so welcoming and friendly, I love coming into an establishment and being made felt right at home. This place totally achieves that. There's a clear menu up at front and if you don't know what exactly to order, the staff is more than ready to help you out. They're loads of help. Today as well as yesterday, I got the red panda. It's a chai tea with white chocolate (no boba) and let me tell you, it's one of the BEST teas I have ever tasted. Salty and sweet, you can't go wrong with this yummy tea, and when it's chilled in the ice *mwah* perfection. Let me start by saying that I'm picky when it comes to teas and with this one I had no trouble drinking down and enjoying it. Just make sure to mix it well! This tea spot is exactly what the city needed, especially for the hot summers. This tea shop is very similar to that of Teaspoon or Roasting Waters. Basically they have combinations made already with flavors that work and are quite refreshing. It's not just a simple black/green tea and shots of syrups. These types of teas are personally my favorite kinds, refreshing fruit tea combos. That's pretty hard to find unless you're in Socal or the Bay. For all the milktea fans, they do have a few with boba. There is also some slush options. Hanford is lucky to have this shop so definitely a rating of 5 to have them stay. They found a great place to put the shop, to add to downtown. There is parking around the building. Street parking in front, on the side, and in the back sharing El Tarasco's lot. Inside is spaceous with doors on each side of the room. It has a clean open space feel. Not too loud. Nice place to relax. Very welcoming. There's definitely a line but it's rather short. The longest waiting period is during Thursday Night Farmers Market. Other than that, it's not too long. Keep in mind they close during the midday for a few hours so plan accordingly. Tried several drinks already and they are VERY good. I always order my drinks 1/2 sweet so that's a tip to anyone who hates really sweet drinks. We did half sweet and now I'm hooked. I went there for the first time today as a guest of someone. I had never been there before, as I'm actually fairly new to the area and I'm not much of a tea drinker. I was surprised to learn that I wasn't even able to order a regular plain tea, either hot or cold; everything had "stuff" in it like mango, chai, and others I can't remember, but I did not know what they were So I ended up getting a lime lemonade, which thank goodness they had. The woman who waited on us was friendly. There was no one in there except my friend and I, so it was a nice quiet place to talk. It's clean and has nice artwork on the walls, including a couple of them that were painted by local artists, which I like to see. I'm giving it five stars because my friend loved everything about it and I'm not a tea drinker so I'm giving you a review for her. I got mojito and strawberry matcha. The strawberry matcha is as good, if not better than bay area boba guys. I like Tiger tea's more because it bas more matcha flavor. I always lower the sweetness of my drinks, but the owner said it wouldn't be too sweet, and he was right! It was perfect. I got the mojito as half sweet, and I wish it had more minty flavor. Maybe they can crush the leaves more to get the flavor? Idk... I was just expecting more flavor, but I only tasted slight lime-y and lychee at the bottom.
