Genuinely the best Indian food I've ever had in my life. We just ordered a bunch of stuff, from…read moresamosas and butter chicken to kabab and broccoli salad. Absolutely nothing we didn't love! Service was also fantastic! I noticed they're super intentional about allergies and brought out an entire tablet for my friend to cross-reference with the menu.

We walked into a space that felt different from a typical Indian dining experience because of the attention to detail in the décor, lighting, and overall atmosphere. The room had a classic yet lively feel, with a balance between old-world charm and a more upscale restaurant setting that made it feel like a place we could enjoy for both a casual meal or a special occasion. The food is the biggest reason to visit, with a menu that focuses on bold flavors and a mix of traditional dishes and modern interpretations. We ordered a few items and found the Chicken Ruby one of the standout dishes, with tender chicken and a rich, flavorful sauce that had a good balance of spices without becoming overwhelming. The Black Daal is another signature item and is worth trying because of its slow-cooked texture and deep flavor, with a comforting quality that paired well with the naan and other breads from the menu. Beyond the more well-known dishes, Dishoom has a variety of smaller plates that made it easy to try different flavors. The Gunpowder Potatoes and Okra Fries were great options if we wanted something to share, while dishes like lamb chops, biryani, and paneer provided more variety depending on our preferences. The menu had enough options for both people looking for familiar Indian dishes and those wanting to explore something different. The drinks are also an important part of the experience, especially the chai. The restaurant's chai has become one of its most recognizable items and fit well with the café-inspired concept. Having a warm drink alongside the food added to the overall atmosphere and made the meal feel more complete rather than just focused on the main dishes. One thing to keep in mind is that Dishoom can get very busy, especially during peak dinner hours. Reservations are helpful when available, but the restaurant also manages walk-ins with a queue system. If we did have to wait, the complimentary chai while waiting was a nice touch and made the process feel less inconvenient. The Covent Garden location was also in a convenient area for exploring nearby attractions before or after our meal. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the experience smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Dishoom Covent Garden is one of the most memorable Indian dining experiences in London. The combination of flavorful food, unique atmosphere, and thoughtful service makes it stand out from a standard Indian restaurant. Between the signature dishes, café-inspired design, and welcoming environment, it is a place we would recommend adding to a London itinerary, especially for anyone looking to experience Indian cuisine in a different way.

The Warwick Arms has a quirky decor and charming ambiance. It's a typical British pub, and although it has a section of the menu devoted to British pub classics, the majority of the menu is dedicated to Indian cuisine. I'm not sure if there are other pubs in London serving Indian food, but it is the perfect combination! We sampled many dishes during our 2 visits here, including chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, saag paneer, vegetable biryani, basmati rice, and garlic and cilantro naan. Everything was absolute perfection. There wasn't a single bite of food that we didn't love. The Pimm's and Lemonade was a delightful and refreshing discovery for us. We enjoyed glasses of it our first night, and then on our final night when we returned with a larger group we split a pitcher. Our server was polite and friendly on both occasions. I was honestly unsure before visiting the Warwick Arms because although the reviews online are fantastic their website is minimal and doesn't even publish their menu, but I am so glad we stopped by. I would 100% recommend the Warwick Arms to anyone visiting London, especially if you are staying in the Kensington area.

Traditional and simple in design with table clothes and wallpaper that has probably been there since it opened it is a great place to sink a few cobra's and tuck into your favourite Indian dish. All the normal Indian dishes are on offer and they have a few house specials of the tandoori variety. Something for everyone on the basis that you like Indian food. If I were to be negative in any way the prices seen to have crept up of late and a couple of times recently the service wasn't up to it normal standard. Hopefully this is a temporary glitch and they will soon return to being the best in Chiswick. Expect to pay circa £30 for two - takeaway service also available if you want an Indian in front of the box.

The second time we were there, I ordered the Murgh Tikka Biryani again as I had loved it the first time. It tasted completely different but I loved this version as well. Don't think such inconsistencies are a good thing though. I was just plain lucky I liked this version. Otherwise, the other dishes on the menu are good. The lamb biryani, the dal, the accompaniment that comes with the biryani is great; albeit very Bengali. The Tandoori Murgh is well plated but lacks punch; can be made more succulent. Staff is nice and warm. The ambiance can do with a serious makeover and so can their music playlist. Big plus - they do home deliveries around the area. Overall, this is the only place in a 3-km radius where I would go for Indian food.
