You can get better Indian food for less money basically anywhere in London.
The achar chicken was overcooked and tough, and the sauce was watery and bland.
The jeera potatoes lacked salt and any kind of spice, and were somehow inconsistently cooked, with some seemingly barely cooked at all.
The Chandni Chowk Chaat had way too much yoghurt.
The lamb biryani was nice though, and I liked how its lid wasn't just dough but was flakey and paratha-like.
Service was friendly but seemed a bit disorganised, with one waiter promising a dish that never arrived (though fortunately we weren't charged).
Each small beer was priced as a large would be in the majority of other Indian restaurants.
We will just go to any number of Indian restaurants next time - we didn't expect to pay double the price for half the quality of Dishoom. read more
