Working with The Robert Half Creative Group gave me the opportunity to land my DREAM JOB at…read moreStarbucks Coffee Company. As I read through some of the other reviews, most were positive but some expressed sour grapes. I think there are some misaligned expectations as to what a staffing agency is. A staffing agency makes their money by supplying companies with workers either on a temporary are permanent basis. Unless you are paying a staffing agency a fee to find you employment, then the staffing agency's fiduciary responsibility is to the company that is paying them. You need to understand and accept this if you are going to work with a staffing agency. Here's how you benefit from the relationship... Staffing agencies can give you the opportunity/connection to network, learn, and build your resume with world-class business organizations that are extremely challenging to get your foot in the door. Once in though, it's up to YOU to prove yourself and work toward finding your dream job. You can't walk in and expect your dream job to be handed to you. Competition for good jobs in good markets is tough. You have to come at it by assessing the situation for fit, figuring out where YOU can add value in ways that align with your career objectives, get along with ALL the players (putting your ego in check), make a plan, STAY POSITIVE, and execute on it. Oh and by the way, all that work might NOT lead to a permanent job. Don't expect that, if you do you will fail at staying positive. However, know that all the work you are doing is being added to your resume. The way you are handling the situation is being noted by all those you are working with. They will remember you, refer you, and be a reference for you. If played right, over time you will land your dream job. TCG's role was they gave me the connection to make it happen, and supported me with training and advice on handling situations as they arose. That's it, that's all any staffing agency can realistically do for you. Here at the end of my experience with TCG, I can say they've actually EXCEEDED my expectations for a staffing agency. TCG offered me much more career building benefits than other staffing agencies. Benefits such as continued industry training, portfolio showings, attendance to top business industry conferences, team building and network events. This is the stuff that helps you develop your career path. Lastly, they've made my transition to full employment with Starbucks very, very easy. If you are looking to get networking opportunities or work experience added to your resume from renowned organizations and companies, TCG has the connections to make it happen.

Opportunities range from short term assignments, long-term contracts, and contract-to-hire. Their agents are thoughtful, dedicated, and will help insure your resume & portfolio display your best attributes. They regularly contact you during work search and after placement to make sure your needs are met. Issues are handled within the day if not within the hour - To that point, they scrambled to help me organize with jobs I was on when they found I was effected by a natural disaster! A grateful thank you to both Kristi Seifert (WA) and Katie Berkson (PA). I highly recommend Creative Circle to anyone looking for new opportunities!

The actual people I have had the pleasure to engage with have always been lovely. But, my observation of their business model is that they are income-focused-first and relationship-focused somewhere much further down the line. Being more net-income-centric than human-centric resonates as more similar to "following" than "leading" in business, most certainly in the marketing world they represent, where consumers are critical and have endless options. Mine is, of course, just an anecdote, one experience. I have received dozens of invitations to apply for roles and I have responded to a select few, only those where the fit between my skillset and the work required was genuinely aligned. And, I've never received a response of any kind. There's a very modest time investment they make upfront, evaluating prospective employees', like myself, experience and expertise at the start of the relationship, then the 1:1 communication seems to end there. It's been disappointing. If I were ever asked "How can we improve?" I would offer that the opportunity for Creative Circle here, as I see it, is to reflect on your values as a company, take a look at the shifting marketplace, and create an authentically human-focused engagement environment where there's trust fostered, earned and realized between the employer, the prospective employee and the Creative Circle brand --- and the real-life humans behind that brand. I realize that's potentially a daunting task, perhaps one that eats into net income... but someone's out there trying to figure it out. Why not you? With all due respect, this has just been my experience. Perhaps others have enjoyed something more meaningful and valuable in their collab with Creative Circle. The other reviews here would suggest so, but I suspect there's a lot more folks out there who feel similarly but have too much else to worry about right now than a yelp review.

Looking back I felt that there may have been some bias in how I looked. If I had been a male I feel I would have had better quality of service I was provided with no kind of career opportunities, eg such as Job Corp b/c I was within the age 16-24 I was 21 . I was just not listened to. I was even provided with an accessment with one question being would you travel for for job, I did say that I would love a job that would have me travel . I went to WS for close to 15 years on one occassion I had a man give me a glaring mean look for no reason. Worksource you really need to help out females coming home from the military, show some interest & HELP PLEASE. This just wasn't what I received. And it hurts. One particular employment specialist said to me the following: "You should try baking". Now this wasn't a bad idea, however here is were I had an issue. I was given absolutely NO info on who to contact, no phone number, just nothing. This is a message to all the WS employment specialists: Please treat the men & women who come to your desk with better caring please! I just didn't get this. All I did was waste my time. I live out of state studying at college. It has not been easy either. The offices I primarily went to were the ones on Rainier Ave & out in Renton on Grady Way. With the worse on out in Siverdale who was absolutely no help no support.

That been said, there is free computers for job seekers, faxing service, printing up to 20 pages for job related stuff. There are workshops that works with you but won't actually do anything specific for your needs! They will show you how resume look like or on what order you supposedly writing it, but they won't work with your actual resume! So pretty much everything that they have in workshops is on the Internet for free. They do have small amount of business doing a job fair but most of them sucks they are low paying Warehouses jobs in kent or Auburn etc... that pays $11-13 in hour you have better income working at Seattle McDonald's for $15 per hour! Also there famous school bus driving position lol hopefully they attract more decent businesses in future. But it does provide you with routine wake-up going there looking for a job. Nasty restrooms! Good luck!

Instead of apologizing, they tried to blame. This partime, they placed me with Process Technology. Two days in, I was messaging my recruiter begging to be placed somewhere else. This place was and still is a factory of nothing but OSHA, I ended up hurting my right shoulder and was denied medical. My recruiter kept saying they had no jobs, yet was sending me job notifications asking me if I knew anyone who was looking to be placed. I said, me. He ignored. I also had to hound them for weeks to fix my pay. I then had to text them to tell them I was being harassed at the job by a coworker because Process Technology was not doing anything. I have all those conversations recorded. I continued to ask for a different placement constantly. I was actively looking for a new job, but most places use temp agencies. I ended up hurting my right shoulder again doing the same job that I had begged to be put elsewhere. I was not allowed in HR because you are only allowed after work hours and have to clock out. I need to be somewhere at 3 every day. Express Professionals is responsible for paying for my treatments, but they are not filling the proper paperwork. I have asked thru numerous texts for the number to contact the insurance and my claim number. Express Professionals, or shall I say the owner is refusing to help me get the care I need. Not to mention, the owner has a photography studio and asked me if I had a senior daughter who needs her pictures done. Why ask for a specific sex? That is predatory. The doctor and PT that I see believe I have a tear in my rotary cuff, but they can't properly treat me until they get an MRI. But Jim, the site owner of the Mentor location, is not corporating.
