I'm disappointed with my experience at Seattle Talent. I invested $550 in photography but received absolutely nothing in return. Meanwhile, I've built an authentic social media presence on my own, paid $0, and have been featured in three magazines and secured multiple brand deals. If you're young and looking for ways to "make it" fast, this agency will do the opposite. You're better off focusing on building a true, authentic social media presence. Whether your goal is to be seen or create a stream of income, social media offers far more opportunities, and you'll actually see the fruits of your labor. If I could give negative stars I would. first off 1) they send the same formatted email to everyone (sorry it's to make you feel special), my friends kiddo got the same email saying they have been looking over hundreds and they choose us lol "Good timing! I spent the morning sorting through hundreds and hundreds of new submissions from the last few weeks" 2) David is the one who interviewed us. He came off arrogant and likes to say the phrase "that's concerning" a lot. Looked him up and he doesn't have kids.....it shows. the guy had no clue how to speak to an 11 year old. Ok so first off I'd like to begin I went online to "apply" to their website and do the audition. I did the audition at home video taped myself and sent them the video. They said I did great, blah yatta yatta. They send me an email to have a meeting with the scout over zoom. The Lady Holly was very friendly. Constantly complimenting me multiple times over the phone ( trying to win me over ) anywho... I felt pretty good about it, I was excited bc it felt legit and the convo was great. She was telling me about the prices of the headshot ($300) & the workshop ($500) you'll have to take. I was completely fine doing that (in the beginning) so on she said ok well I'll call you tomorrow so I was like "yay omg they like me right?" Next day she calls me and is like "heeeeey so we totally like you are you interested?" or whatever and I told her ya totally can you send me the contract so I go over it and review it and she said totally and sent it over. She also mentions. So when are you going to send the money? I replied that I can after I review the contract and she goes ok great! I told her I would only send her the money for the workshop bc that was the first thing we were getting into before the headshot. She told me i couldn't do the headshot until December... I know damn well your photographer isn't doing photoshoots all day for Seattle talent and you guys should have this figured out. Not a month an a half out. SCAM ALERT. Let's be real. So told her I wanted it sooner and she said she was going to ask her guy or whoever (probably a fake person) to see if she could get my photoshoot done soon so she said ok we can do it in November which would've been 2 weeks from the day we talked which was last Monday. She wanted to me to start the workshop on the day she called me. Kind of last minute right? Sketch. Anyways after I said ya to doing the workshop. They are also using the boy her brother in the show as a success story which is also false. This is a huge lie. I adore Madalaine and I know her history very well and they're lying straight your face. Grabbing her headshots from google and posting them on their website for traction. Such lies!!!!!! Stop embarrassing yourself already. It's literally thing after thing. Also has anybody noticed how the agency doesn't reach out on reviews and write something nice in regard to someone's bad experience. First of all I wanted to let you know the experience for each person is different, maybe it's not the right moment, maybe you need someone to guide you, you need to be clear about what you want in the industry, etc. Are many factors that can change everything in one second. Why did I say this? Because my experience with this agency has been wonderful, real, and thankful. I only paid for my headshots once and to go to the IMD L.A CONFERENCE which it's expensive, but worth it, I did two auditions to be part of it I won several times, I made runway shows, TV appearances, plus the opportunity with an agency who sing me up this year, much more to tell. . Ok. Now the biggest part of this Seattle talent scam, the auditions for "talent scouts". You call and set up an appointment and show up she there's tons of people everywhere as you would expect. My son goes in to the audition, completely nails it and is told to wait for any callbacks. There were 3 separate scouts when we went for 3 different auditions. Of course all 3 said he was great. We get the call the next day or so that he was selected. Great... Not. Oh by the way it's like this for every audition.. They are selecting you to go to imta. International model talent agency showcase? Not sure. But oh by the way it's in California you pay your own way you pay your own travel. You pay your own hotel. And oh by the way, it costs money for him to be able to audition, with no guarantee to ever be seen. And oh he's 5 so his parent and or family are accompanying? You have to pay more for each person. But we have a 6 month old baby obviously she's free. Nope. She costs money too. So now your spending $20000 to hopefully get a chance to audition in front of talent scouts. Nope. No way. This with the lack of classes available that we paid for was the final straw that we decided this is definitely a scam. No actual scouts or agents ever, just auditions to get you go spend more money. That's it. Ever. 4 different auditions we went to. Always imta. But oh every other month I get an email they there's a possible gig for a 31yr old female with 3 left feet that has to have red hair and no nose. Never any for a 5 year old. Or his ethnicity. But we have you some possible auditions right? So now we said this is crazy. We need to call and tell them we just want the money refunded that we paid for the classes. Yes I know $500 non refundable and we took some classes so it's not gonna be the full refund. We were simply asking for our money back for a classes that they aren't even offering to us because they aren't available. Sounds reasonable right? After countless unreturned phone calls by David, the sales guy, I finally called and told the receptionist I wasn't going to leave a message. I would drive to the office to speak with him in person if he was going to continue to blow me off or file a complaint against the company. Surprise surprise he is no longer in a meeting. We explain to him our thoughts and concerns, be acts apologetic and he will look in to it with his boss. I get a call back saying they looked in to it and aren't going to give us a refund because we changed our minds. They won't even listen to the concerns of ours that classes weren't available. Then I get sent to so I think is the boss Michael. Ge basically says the same thing. They claim they can see that they did send emails to us about classes. And we didn't go to ask auditions so we must not have taken it seriously enough. In my response back to Michael I started, please provide me time stamped proof of those emails being sent and I will drop all complaints and refund requests. Of course he won't comply with that, because there were never any emails. But he said we still have the credits for my son to continue taking classes if we want him to. Heck no. Third complaint with them has been going on for over a year now. For like 6 months following the start of the pandemic we were patiently waiting on hearing back from Michael. He told us things were hectic, but he would look in to the concerns. So of course we understood how crazy things were and held off, waiting for him to initiate the conversation when it wasn't so hectic. Fast forward about 6 months to when I finally emailed him for follow up. Still refusal to do any form of refund for classes that we never offered. I told him in the final email to him, that if they are refusing to take action on this complaint, my only recourse is to file complaints with the BBB and possible small claims court if that doesn't pan out. Flat out, we paid for a service, the service wasn't available for over a year, we asked for a refund. Pretty simple refund right? read more

My wife took my at the time 5 year old outgoing son to a "tryout". Of course she's told hes amazing, friendly, energetic, etc. He's got the it factor. Now to the sales tactic. They are not in business to make stars or get you gigs, period. They make money off the hint of a promise you could get gigs by taking their classes that are thousands of dollars. They said of course since he doesn't have any formal training he will need to take the courses that we offer. The courses will help teach him how to act on camera. I mean makes sense right? Yeah i guess it does. So during the sales pitch where my wife and I say, well we are concerned spending that much money with no guaranteed return on investment. The sales person, not calling him an agent, says I've got 3 gigs right here he would be perfect for. Let's get you signed up. Of course nothing came of these gigs, that he didn't promise, just insinuated about. But whatever gets you to sign on the paper right? After that we try to sign him up for some classes. What they don't tell you prior to giving your thousands of dollars is these classes don't come along often, especially for such a young kid. Commercial acting 1 I think was the first class. Signed him up, took him weekly and it was easy and smoothe. End of class session. What's next? Acting 2. Ohh sorry that's got currently available to take. Check back next class cycle. This is where our concerns crept in even more. After numerous phone calls and questions during auditions this acting 2 class was never available. We never got any emails about any classes taking place. We thought to ourself ok, next audition we will ask in person again. Oh check back in September we are told of course. read more

I just recently came to this agency with absolutely no experience in this industry whatsoever, all I had walked in with was the passion and ambition to do something different and exciting for myself. I see and hear so many people talk down on this agency for the simple fact of them giving you the foundation steps to start a career in the field, but leaving you to do the work to get yourself where you want to be! What people aren't seeming to realize is that not a single person is born a star, but more so molded into one. They told me from the beginning it would be just like sports, if you want to play for a professional/high rated team you have to invest into it and let your skill take you up from there. This is LEGIT and will make a difference for you in life if you simply put in the work for it. They are expensive. Huge upfront costs with no guarantee on work. Photos were extremely over priced and other than a funny white elephant gift, provided no use. My daughter signed up for workshops at Seattle Talent a few months ago. To clear up the seemingly contradictory reviews on here - Seattle Talent is first and foremost an acting/modeling/entertainment business SCHOOL and secondarily a Talent Agency. From what I understand, you do have to be a part of their school in order to be given opportunity with the agency, or at least have participated in the school at some point. Think of the agency as an extra perk. You do have to apply and audition to join. I assume they aren't extremely picky as to who they let in, but I believe you have to be (1) sincerely interested in the business and (2) willing to commit to the time it requires and take it seriously. I personally know someone who started with Seattle Talent and within a few years, was picked up by an agency in LA and now lives there and has been on multiple Primetime TV series, and multiple big name national commercials. The company was highly recommended by this person to us. Don't be naiive and expect to be the next big star just because you sign up for the classes, however. Most people who try in this business do not make enough money to profit from it. To most, its a hobby like anything else - sports, dance, cheerleading, karate, music, etc. Seattle Talent NEVER guaranteed us work, but they do send out opportunities for auditions (for jobs and bigger talent agencies) that you have the option of taking advantage of if you want to. Their trainers/teachers are very professional, and I am happy with the experience so far. My two cents: If you read most things online, it says NEVER pay for anything out of pocket or its a scam. Thats a ridiculous notion. If you want to be a professional in any business, you need to acquire some skills and experience, and most of the time, that takes your own time and money (think Club and School Sports, any career path in college, etc.). If you are already trained and experienced in the business and an "Agency" requires you to pay them before they get you work, then I understand the skepticism. However, as someone just starting out, you shouldn't assume some agency or talent scout is just going to love your face so much that they are going to invest hundreds or thousands of dollars into you on a whim. That is not how most people get started in the entertainment industry. You have to prove yourself as a professional before most professional agencies will take the risk. To lessen the risk for them, you need experience, you need head shots, you need a portfolio to present, you need a resume, and you need to present yourself as someone who takes the business as seriously as they do! So, if you are a "new face" and want to take a shot at a career in the entertainment business and don't know where to start, I recommend taking the workshops at Seattle Talent. Seattle Talent is the Best!! I've read some negative comments on here mainly because of the fees Seattle Talent charges for their workshops and also saying that their children don't get sent to auditions. I have to say, my 17 year old daughter signed with Seattle Talent just a week and a half ago, and yes, we paid for the workshops. The way we look at it is MANY parents pay big money for their children to join sports.....football, dive team, cheerleading, etc. And the majority of those kids are NOT going to make it big and become rich and famous in doing so. They pay because it is their children's passion or just simply what their children enjoy doing. Our daughters passion is modeling/fashion so why shouldn't we pay for her to get the best training for it possible? We didn't sign with Seattle Talent with the expectation for her to get rich and famous. We did it so she can do something she loves. IF she makes it big because of Seattle Talent, GREAT. But if not, she is doing something she loves and building her self confidence while doing it. And also she's learning how to speak in auditions which will definitely help her in her future. As far as anyone complaining about their children not getting sent to auditions, a week and a half later and my daughters been to two auditions. We are waiting to hear about the first one right now. We went to the second two days ago and she was booked. She will be getting her first check soon so I'm not sure what those negative posts are about. I also talked to another mother that her daughter has been BOOKED for 4 separate modeling gigs in the 7 months she's been with Seattle Talent. That's not mentioning all the auditions she's gone to (of course you're not going to get booked for every audition). Not too shabby in my opinion. It's for the very uncomfortable moment when I found out they talked to my 13 yr old daughter, got all her information, and set up an "audition" for her for the next day without ever talking to a parent. That's right - they set up an appointment with a minor-aged child without permission from a parent or guardian. Call me overprotective, but I am not happy about that. Our daughter enrolled with Seattle Talent and attended its initial seminar in Eugene/Springfield two years ago. The presentation was well-organized and competently presented and our daughter continued with subsequent events and try-outs with a view to attending IMTA in Los Angeles/New York. She enjoyed the experience, made many new friends and acquired valuable skills but, like many starry-eyed teenagers eventually decided not to continue further in this field (she is now pursuing a professional pilot's program at the Lane Aviation Academy). Is it possible to give it 0 stars? This place is a total scam. First of all, let me explain how they work. They call you in for an audition.... to see if you're what they want. BS. They sit you in a room and feed you all this nonsense about how many people became famous after coming to them. They will interview every person and make you feel as though you are actor/model material. Look around you in the room and see the people around you. Do they honestly look like they could make it big? They will end up telling you something like "you're not ready" or "we want you"....... and then you will later be handed a pamphlet of services they offer. "Model coaching".... REALLY? These services range from $1000 up to $6000. They will say that you need these tools. NO WAY. ANY legitimate place WILL NOT ask you to front any money or try to sell you anything. REAL agencies want you at THEIR expense because they will in turn make money off your gigs. They get a cut of your pay, you know. AVOID THIS PLACE. I will report them to the BBB as soon as I am done with this review. They are a scam. read more

My daughter wants to be an actress and since I majored in acting/theater in college I know the tough road and the disappointments. Seattle Talent has been HUGE in getting her where she wants to go. Of course it costs money, nothing your kid does is ever free. I find them enormously helpful as far as coaching and she is constantly getting emails for auditions. I think any parent who is looking to help their child succeed in acting or modeling, or at least get the best possible training, should consider Seattle Talent. Every person I have spoken with there has been incredibly helpful and ALWAYS up front. I knew from the first meeting that there would be costs involved and I have never felt like the fees were too high. I know what my training cost and this is minimal compared to it. read more

The scam thickens. Did you try going to that address they have on Olive. It's an empty space and has been for months. Went in to check the place out after talking to them. Talked to the neighbors and was told they moved out in the middle of the night. With a little more digging found out the owner's history. Turns out he did the same thing in CA and OR under different names. Open a place for a few years burn through ppl and close shop. I didn't want to believe all the nasty reviews on this site and other sites. The BBB. Same story. Sadly they are true. They reel you in with the promise of big modeling or acting jobs and auditions, pretend to have classes to prep you or your child for these big auditions when in fact the classes are taught by teenagers who have no clue what they are doing. their biggest scam is that modeling and acting convention they try to lure you into going to for a mere $6000 -$7000 or however much they can get out of you. Don't be fooled by the slick talk from their reps. It's all a scam that only ends with you giving them thousands of dollars to support their fancy life styles while they brag about how much they took you for. Read up and research before you get taken. read more

We love Seattle Talent and the Management team is incredibly professional yet like a family. They genuinely look out for your best interest and help create avenues towards modeling or acting. The classes they offer are great an abundant. My son had an audition with Seattle Talent which they loved him and we then proceeded to choose a program so he could learn about Commercial, TV and Film acting. He then went to classes for about 6 weeks every Sunday with a coach in our town. At the end of the 6-8 weeks he got a chance to perform a monologue he had been working on in his classes in front of an agent from LA and a Representative for IMTA International Model and Talent Association. He did well and the Agent actually gave him a call back to inform him they would like to represent him. We waited on the offer as we knew he had more opportunities ahead to meet more Agents and Managers at auditions in Seattle. The representative from IMTA also selected him to be a part of a select team to go to NYC with IMTA so he prepared for this for six months, taking classes in Seattle and Seattle Talent arranged a photo shoot to get head shots and five different looks. The photo shoot and hair and makeup that was provided was all professional and fun. The pictures are very professional and you can keep a disc to use for prints and stock cards to give to agents and managers. In the summer of 2015 my son and I went to IMTA in NY where we were not super sure of how it would be and if he would do well. We both loved every minute of our experience at IMTA in the Hilton Midtown. It was super professional and big. Big stage, big crowd, big performances, big fashion shows, great first day prep and training, auditions and modeling runway events and seminars taking place all week ending in a fun awards dance party and the final day getting a change to meet the agents and managers who are interested in my son and the finally gala night with a great meal, wonderful service and the final big awards. My son ended up winning the Most Sough After Male Talent, Male Junior Actor of the year and had 30 call backs from Managers and Agents. We had the most amazing experience really of a lifetime with our Seattle Talent Team which included other talents and models as well as the hair and makeup team and management team. The management team were professional, organized and always available to us. They even helped pick out the right clothes for the various runway modeling shows and were just there for us. They provided auditions just for the Seattle Talent team up in the Seattle Talent room so we had more opportunities to have our kids be seen performing a monologue or short script. They Management team even help coordinate private meetings for the managers and agents to meet with sought out talents individually. We just loved this whole experience! We went to LA a week later and signed with a prestigious top youth talent Agency as well an incredible manager. My son has been getting scripts and auditions constantly and we chose to stay in our home town for the first few months and to send in self tapes for the auditions. Two of our other friends from IMTA with Seattle Talent are in LA for a few months to be seen by casting managers and have more opportunities and have already booked commercials. Seattle Talent helped us the whole way communicating back and forth about representation, giving us advice, sharing suggestions and feedback of what is best for our family. Seattle Talent and IMTA are great avenues to learn about modeling and acting, get the training and coaching, get experience, have opportunities to audition for Agent and Managers in your hometown and in Seattle. Seattle Talent is like a school that provide opportunities but they go further than that they are a personal management team who support your actor/model to achieve their dreams. They really are rooting for you and cheering you on the whole way! Im so glad we chose Seattle Talent. Its been a great journey so far and we love the management team like our won family. read more
