The location was easy to enter and exit while traveling eastbound on NC Highway 54. Unfortunately, the men's room was very messy and had a foul odor--not the best experience. The coffee area was well maintained, although I had to hunt for the half-and-half. It also had a slop sink, which is a huge bonus for keeping the area clean. Most importantly, my coffee was delicious, and I really enjoyed it. The self-checkout was very slow, and when I asked for assistance, no one came to help. I wasn't planning to purchase gasoline, but I noticed that Sheetz's price was approximately 20 cents per gallon higher than at a station down the street. Overall, the convenient access and delicious coffee were positives, but the messy restroom, lack of assistance, and higher gasoline price detracted from my visit.

It continued to get worse until I took it in to the dealership service department only to learn that we had $3,000 worth of damage (ruined fuel injectors, etc.) due to a bad tank of gas. I called the station and they tell me they have had no other problems. I stopped in a few days ago only to hear the same thing from a clerk. I was told by the dealership's service department, and by a mechanic who has taken care of this car since we owned it, that they are seeing this more and more often due to bad gas. The problem is that it is very difficult to prove it was bad gas! I'm told we should purchase only from the major gas companies. I thought Citgo was a major gas company but apparently not.

It's about six minutes away from I-40 exit 287 (Harrison Avenue - Cary). This Shell station has eight pumps. At first, I tried to use pump 6, but it wouldn't take my card. I then realized there was a handwritten note on pump 6 that said to pay inside. I walked to pump 8 and noticed pump 8 did not have a sign that said the same, so I used pump 8 instead. I paid at the pump as I normally do with my card. I had no issues except the fuel gloves and paper towels were all out on the side of the station I was on. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I use a paper towel to touch gas pump buttons and handles. It was nice they actually had a box of fuel gloves. Costco is the only other place I've seen them. Too bad they were out of both gloves and paper towels. I filled up for $3.419 per gallon of premium, which was expensive. Using the app GetUpside, I was able to get $0.19 per gallon back. I couldn't find this product in a box and asked Mr. Ben, the dept manager, if there were any others. He said no, "but i'll be happy to sell this display to you". He gave me a fair price for the displayed item. He was so friendly that we got into a conversation about hummingbird feeders that led to other topics where we eventually found out we are from the same hometown area. This is the best Wal-Mart experience ever. Every time I go into that Wal-Mart, I look for Mr. Ben's friendly face. What a terrific person for taking time to not just answer questions but to "talk" to me!!!! Thanks, Mr. Ben!!!!

Inside, it's quite spacious, and the aisles seem to go on for miles :) The reason why I'm only giving this Walmart 3 stars is that the website said that an item was in stock, but when I eventually found the aisle, it was not. Since I mainly came here to grab this particular item, that was pretty disappointing. Not sure if I'll ever be back, but this Walmart definitely has a lot of stuff :)
