Plenty of parking, good location. Upon walking in there was an employee and a security guard- they both said hello. The market was clean and neat- I didn't buy anything- I was mainly going in with my sister and BIL - they needed oysters and frozen duck (for their sick dog) The website said they had these items but they didn't (we ended up going to Grand Asian Market.) read more

The food place in there makes pretty good food. Chicharrones are always good, super greasy but can't find anything else like them with a good portion on the meat and the fat . Also amazing meat prices . Tad expensive on everything else read more

This review is for the ceviche sold at store. El mandado offers two choices, fish and shrimp ceviches. I bought two this weekend and it was very hard to fund fish or shrimp in the product, almost all was vegetables. I was very disappointed because is not cheap, this was my last time ordering ready to eat food at the store. It is a pity. read more

Much better than the old location. I am not here to interact with employees but for some products hard to find in SC so I can't say much about the customer service but there seems to be room for improvement. I also needed to make an international transaction. That portion didn't go as well but wasn't bad either it is a matter of personality, no smiles, no thank you's so it is hard to say if they are like that every day or is it just a bad Monday With as much supply chain and containers stranded at bay this store is relatively well stocked read more

Great place ! I live in Wake Forest and I have heard of this place before but have never been. A couple of weeks ago I had some time to kill so I decided to give them a visit. It's a large place and it has just about anything you may need. Lots of Latin products of course .... I am peruvian so I had to check out the Peruvian section. I gotta say that it has all the main items that any Peruvian will need. I am used to going to International food so I need to compare it to that. Its a bit smaller but but it has all the basics and it feels a bit cleaner too. They also have a decent food counter where you can get tacos, burritos and a few other things. I got a nice burrito at a good price !!! Service was lado nice . In summary I don't need to always go to International Foods for all my Latin needs, I'll come here when it's more convenient read more

I am glad there is a Hispanic grocer extra close to me. They are great for picking up those seasonings that you need when you need the flavor in the cooking. They also have a restaurant inside as well, but if you want to grab something from there, you might want to go early in the day. Inside is also an Amazon locker if you want to pick up some packages. #464 read more

Good selection of international products. They have a well stocked butchery. They had a small restaurant, but I didn't get the chance to try. Overall, good ambiance and service. Buena selección de productos internacionales. Tienen una carnicería bien abastecida. Tenían un restaurante pequeño, pero no tuve la oportunidad de intentarlo. En general, buen ambiente y servicio. read more

Nice and new market. We enjoyed shopping around the wide selection. We also ordered some tamales from the restaurant inside; they were delicious. The staff was friendly and helped us find some items. read more

This Latin American market had a strong produce section, with the sorts of things one hopes for like diced cactus and a robust pepper selection. There were plenty of useful canned goods as well, and a selection of frozen pupusas, tamales, and such. I was surprised that they didn't have that much better a selection of tortillas than your average grocery store. Was there somewhere I neglected to look? I found some fine-looking ones, but I was expecting a variety of colors and flavors. Checkout was a bit of a hassle as I don't think they take all the major card companies. However, the overall selection was certainly well worth a visit, and I'm having tacos this week. read more

Happy to see this new location! Clean and easy to locate items. They offer great prices on veggies. If you are searching for products from Central America, check this place out. Came in to pick up masa. Review of the masa- color was yellow and the flavors weren't what I am accustomed to. I was in the area and didn't realize they had moved and no longer offer masa in house. They used to be able to offer masa based on the lbs you needed however it now comes pre-packaged as 6lb. Will return to try their food- sopes are my favorite. read more

The largest Mexican market I have been in. A very diverse variety of quality products. I found everything I needed.

Woah!!!! Super, EXTRA rude girl obviously hating life and taking it out on the world working the register at opening on 09 December. When I asked the kitchen hours (because a sign said "Cocina Cerrada"). She said, "Go ask them." I then asked, "Is the kitchen opened when the store opens?" "You need to ask them..." ¿Seriamente? ¡Era pinche racismo porque me veo gabacho! read more

Believe it or not, the best "carne asada tacos" I have eaten in Raleigh since I moved here. And I have gone to all the "Mexican Restaurants" around. They also have tons of Vitamin "T" to chose from... tacos, tostadas, tamales, totopos. read more

I walked in here with my two elderly parents one in a wheel chair. To purchase items to make tamales. This is not the best area. I walked in carrying my gun in my pocket. I did not notice the small no weapons sign at the door. My mistake. Never the less. I was approached by a female security guard and she attacked me. She put hands on me with no warning. I almost shot her thinking I was been robed. She handle me like I was some kind of criminal or shop lifter. I was so embarrassed everyone was looking at me. She held me from the back with a hand on my arm and another on my shoulder. She told me to come with her. My parents freak out because they thought I was being arrested for something. On the way kicking me out the door while my parents who don't speak English we're left in the store. She told me they have a no gun policy and was not allow in the store with my weapon. I get it but this was handle completely unprofessional. If she would had ask me to please come with her and explain the issue. I would had no problem complying with a Store policy. Please correct your employee before someone gets hurt. She is taking her job to seriously and illegally detaining people. read more

I usually come to this market once a week for chicharrones which are always hot and fresh. Not this week, they were ice cold and days old and full price. They could have told me. The employees are mostly unfriendly and disgruntled, which is surely going to sink this establishment. I always have to wait for them to finish their conversation with their coworkers for assistance, customer service is nonexistent. Enjoy this one star. read more

The security guard was completely rude and hostile. I get the no mask entry but to be shouted at and screamed at was completely uncalled for. This "wannabe police officer" should be fired! He was shouting to have masks on when he was without any mask on the entire time I was there. Why didn't he have his mask on? I will never shop at that store again because of the poor security guard. Why would such an establishment hired an rude hostile person? He was shouting the entire time. read more

Nice store lot of Latin products including seafood, meat and produce. Plenty of parking

My first visit was this week. The staff were so helpful with me, especially since my Espanol is limited. Staff were patient and took the time to help me find everything that I needed. I will definitely return. read more

So, you're looking for the makings of an authentic Mexican meal... or, perhaps you are, like me, of Caribbean ilk and craving a ripe plantain to fry. You want to shop somewhere where there are two ginormous tanks of live tilapia swimming around and making their fat-lipped fish faces at you... and you'd love to be able to stop and munch on a freshly made taco in the middle of your shopping trip. Well, friend, you should be shopping at El Mandado. Located in a coterie of stores near a Burlington Coat Factory, a Colombian bakery and a billiards spot, back behind a KFC and a Blockbuster you'll find this largely ethnic supermarket. They carry groceries as well as car audio equipment (not kidding), religious statues (still not kidding) and Spanish-language music and movies. Over near produce you'll also find an accountant and a computer repair shop. One stop shopping at its most literal, no? The draw here is the variety of Central and South American offerings -- not just one brand of queso fresco, for example, but multiple to choose from. An entire aisle full of sodas and such that you can't find at standard markets. FRESHLY PRESSED TORTILLAS, PEOPLE. I don't mean to shout, but come on. That's unique! I certainly don't do *all* of my shopping here, but it's a go-to when I'm seeking specific items, or just feel like wandering the aisles to find something interesting to cook with later on. It's not the brightest market you'll shop at -- it feels a teeny bit dingy, I'll admit, but I always come away with good stuff that's well-priced. read more

Love it! Quaint very clean supermarket - very unassuming from the outside. The most amazing sausages, pre marinated steaks and selection of fresh fruit and veggies. read more

we are Cuban and feel so welcomed at this grocery and restaurante, we have been shopping and eating here every week for almost 10 years, every week we get what we need, the best coffee at the best prices and the breakfast lunch and dinner is delicious and so reasonably priced we can never wait to go back. I wish they would not use the styrofoam plates and hope they can get the ones that are made of rice maybe so there is less that hurts the Earth. I go there so much and tell our friends and family to enjoy whatever you are hungry for whether it is tres leches cake or flan or a bowl of sopa pupusas or every taco or desayuno they have , the bar of chiles, salsas, cebollas, cilantro, limon, y aquacate is the best thing in the world to make your plate!!! I am going there right now! pa'lante! Sabroso! read more

Found everything I needed to make a caldo de res. They even had some chayote and good bone-in beef shank. You should try their jalapenos, take a bite out of them. Oh and don't forget to wash it all down w/ some malta india. They do have a taqueria and then you can get desserts outside at balcazar! read more

Melissa's review on this place is pretty comprehensive - in short, it's awesome (not to mention huge for an ethnic grocery). You can get everything you need to make South/Central American/Mexican food here and then some, all for decent prices. They even have a section where they sell cooking supplies, including rice steamers and other somewhat-unusual items. The staff are really nice and very helpful, and the cheese selection is truly dazzling. read more

I love that they have a cafeteria, a salon, and another small store inside of the store! I like their food selections, but not so much the prices...I can find better deals at food lion or walmart. Wouldn't hurt if the people in the cafeteria would smile a bit more too. read more

Fresh produce at great prices and they always always have my precious plantains!! They make fresh tortillas and cheese and the tacos and tortas are such a bargain. To bad its not close to me. read more

This place is great! In kind of a run down strip mall but who cares?! It had everything I needed to make tamales I have been dying to conquer. They make their own pork lard needed to make the masa, plenty of corn husks to choose from, including fresh ones, rows of Hispanic ingredients you can't find in traditional grocery stores, house made tortillas, salsas, made to order food, swimming tilapia, honestly EVERYTHING you can think of to create great Mexican food. They even have a whole isle full of cookware and tools to help you make it all. I've lived here since 1998 and can't believe I am just discovering this gem. Shame on me...I'll be back. 4 stars because it could have been a bit cleaner and more organized. read more
