Bill and his Clean Breathing Team did a fantastic job remediating 20 years of cigarette smoke and…read morenicotine residue in the garage of our recently purchased home. We considered about 6 companies and had several onsite inspections and estimates. We selected Clean Breathing over larger well-known franchise companies and we were not disappointed. Bill listened to what we wanted to know and provided details of his process and materials. Other companies just measured square footage and provided much higher prices with little in the way of details. We got the impression they were used to dealing with insurance companies where there were few questions asked. Bill's team meticulously cleaned and removed all odors. Then, they carefully prepared the drywall for painting as if it was inside a custom home, filling all holes and blemishes, hand sanding, and the applying to coats of quality paint. The team was not only professional and technically proficient but they were also courteous and polite. Everything was perfectly clean before they departed. The odor is completely gone and the garage looks great. Their attention to detail and their clean up after the job was done is noteworthy. We couldn't be happier. Gary and Connie, Sunset Beach

I had already gotten two estimates on a new HVAC system, and was sitting at my desk complaining…read moreabout both of them when my employer asked what was wrong. I told him I had deep reservations about both HVAC products and installers, and he told me Fulford had done a great job at his house. So I phoned them, and they were just as great as he said. Everyone on the phone was professional and friendly. The estimate was done immediately and offered me options the other companies had not even mentioned. The products they offer are better-reviewed and rated than the other companies (I checked.) Installation was soon. The installers showed up when they said they would, stayed all day with no breaks I witnessed, wore masks, and even returned twice to take care of a cosmetic issue. The HVAC system has been here over a month now and seems to work great.

I had been a satisfied Fulford customer for approximately seven years, but my recent experience has…read moreseriously undermined my confidence in the company. In July, Fulford performed routine maintenance on my HVAC unit. Approximately two months later, I noticed a wet spot on the wall and called them back. The technician vacuumed the exterior condensate drain without entering the house and said the issue was fixed. I subsequently received a $180 bill. I questioned the charge because the primary drain had clogged while the secondary drain was still functioning as intended. Fulford agreed to send another technician to investigate at no charge. During that visit, I accompanied the technician and witnessed him identify a crack inside the unit below the coils. While he was explaining this finding, I pointed out that the secondary drain pan appeared to be doing its job properly and that the water damage was several feet away from the unit. There was no water damage on the ceiling below the pan, and the original water mark was near the separated coupling, approximately 3.5 feet from the unit. The pan was not overflowing and had not caused the original water mark. The technician responded that he was still investigating. He then cut the insulation around the PVC condensate drain and exposed a separated coupling. I asked whether that was where the connection had separated and whether it had been glued. He confirmed the separation and said it had not been glued. He then glued the PVC connection at no charge. The subsequent service report documented the crack but made no mention of the separated, unglued coupling I had personally witnessed and watched him repair. Instead, it focused on the crack and the water in the pan, which did not explain the location of the original water mark. I contacted Fulford to question the omission. During our discussion, I was told the original PVC drain had been reused when the unit was installed approximately seven years ago. I was also given an explanation involving deteriorated glue. Neither explanation resolved my concern about the specific coupling I had seen separated and subsequently repaired. After further discussion, Fulford issued a second report adding that the drain line had disconnected 15 feet from the unit, near where it entered the wall. That description did not match what I observed. The distance from the unit to the wall is approximately seven feet, and the separated coupling was approximately 3.5 feet from the unit. I contacted Fulford again to explain the discrepancy. A third report changed the distance from 15 feet to seven feet but continued to place the disconnection near the wall rather than at the coupling I had identified. I again requested a correction and have not received a satisfactory resolution. To be clear, I believe the technician performed his inspection and repair appropriately. My concern is with the documentation and Fulford's handling of my questions afterward. I witnessed the separated coupling, heard the technician confirm it had not been glued, and watched him repair it. Yet three versions of the service report failed to accurately describe the location of that separation. I cannot say why the reports were written this way, but the discrepancies remain unexplained, and I have not received a report that accurately reflects what I witnessed. My advice to other customers is to be present during service whenever possible and to review the written findings carefully. A service report should accurately document the conditions observed and the work performed. After approximately seven years as a satisfied customer, I am disappointed that a straightforward request for accurate documentation has gone unresolved. I would have preferred a transparent explanation and a corrected report rather than having to pursue the matter repeatedly.

Beginning in 2015 with this company. they installed 2 new compressors from Goodman. I agreed to a…read moremaintenance contract with them. Along the way until today, 2026, we have had reliable service from A+. In July 2025 they installed a new air handler and heat pump from Lenox, a good brand, $16,095.00 value. my cost was $12,981.70 after the value preferred customer discount and 14% additional saving discount. Paid in full after installation. Not a great deal for us but A+ had been reliable up to this point. We complained about the loudness of the unit, the inconvenience of even replacing filters, thermostat that came with the unit not working properly, and the extra noise coming from the unit immediately with no solution except they installed the thermostat we previously had. I visited the local office and spoke to some guys in an office about the issues and said I wanted what I paid for. they did not act concerned but agreed that I should expect to get satisfaction for what I paid for. Several techs have visited the home since with no solutions but ideas they would relay to management. A tech came recently to do the maintenance check after a year. No problems found, except for a bad capacitor in the other unit, even though we discussed with him the problems we have complained about and lived with for a year. Finally, a tech, Bradley, came recently after our call. He corrected the filter situation and "ordered the thermostat" that came with the unit and said he would be back in about a week to install. (No sign of him nor any communication since.) He found a blockage in the draining system and corrected it. The noise from the system remains but the annoying knocking sounds have mostly disappeared. (NOT AS LOUD) However, now almost a month later, NO THERMOSTAT, and A+ is calling for us to renew our maintenance contract. It seems ridiculous for them to ask when they aren't doing what is expected already, and we are still experiencing problems with the unit installed in 2025. I cannot recommend this service to anyone at this time. We have no response from management or explanations when we complain. Simply put, all the techs are polite and seem to be knowledgeable and willing to do whatever it takes, but somewhere along the way the communication falls on deaf ears at the management level! LOOOKING TO CHANGE HVAC COMPANIES!!!! FRUSTRATED: STEVE AND VICK.

They included two follow up maintenance calls valued at $75 each. They should have just taken the money off the bill at the time because these visits were worthless. After each of these calls, they made suggestions as to how I could spend more money with them and did not perform any maintenance at all. I contacted them and all they did was to continue sending me boilerplate emails recommending I buy more of their "services". They are unresponsive and they do not do what they say they will do. BTW, I worked for Honeywell for years doing commercial HVAC maintenance and these guys may not be scammers, but they are acting like scammers in my opinion.
