Cannot recommend Tidewater enough. They helped me get everything set up so we could move internationally. They also provide an amazing support when my dog had IVDD. They are caring and are always able to squeeze us in when there is an emergency. Dr Berger is incredible as are all the vet assistants. read more

I highly recommend this business. They always take care of my pet and are always helpful and courteous. I have called a few times kind of frantic and they calmed me down and took care of the situation with me. Additionally, they offer pet sitting services that are affordable and reliable. I highly recommend for your fur kiddo. read more

i recently switched from a clinic downtown in order to follow Dr. Berger. She is knowledgeable and kind so I would follow her with my cat anywhere. I was happy to see that the Clinic is warm and inviting and there is always plenty of parking. My cat has been through a lot so it is really wonderful that I can always depend on Dr Ella Berger. I have briefly seen another female vet at the clinic and she was seemingly very good as well. The staff was very friendly every time I went in. read more

So grateful for the care Dr. Ella Berger has been providing to our family dog. We are thankful to have found Tidewater and their staff!

My dogs have been patients of Dr. Bostian for over 10 years. I followed her to Tidewater in Mt Pleasant even though it is a long drive from Summerville to see her Your pets couldn't be in better hands.. The care and attention she gives is outstanding and her clinic staff are helpful and pleasant at all times. Tara B read more

I am very excited about our new vet, Dr. Daniels and her vet tec Michelle. They went over and above in terms of knowledge, service and follow up. Jill at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I got tons of great information in regards to my new puppy from Michelle. They handled my puppy very well. Her labs were done quickly in office. I will not hesitate to recommend them and hope they keep up the same level of service as I've seen on our first visit. Great practice! read more

Had to go out of state approximately 6 weeks for knee replace surgery and recovery. Ordered my dogs prescription refill for heart disease online. When online company called vet for refill approval, vet refused to approve refill stating that I need to come to their office and pick up prescription then mail it to the online company. After calling vet letting them know that I'm out of state recovering from knee replacement surgery and that I can't drive yet, they still refused to allow the online pharmacy to refill dogs prescription referring back to their backward, out dated, waste of everyone's time policy. It's obvious to me that they are just out for the money and not the welfare of the animals. Of course, the vet prescriptions are many times more expensive than the online ones. We will be finding a new vet going forward. read more

Tidewater Veterinary clinic helped me with my sick little Yorkshire Terrier after a very long trip. They were so kind and caring. We are very appreciative and our furbaby is on the mend and doing very well! read more

My interaction with Tidewater was not for services ... just to purchase a bag of CET with HEX dental chews that were out of stock and back ordered at Teddy's veterinary practice In Park West. The key, here, was the customer service factor knowing that my dog was neither a current, nor prospective patient. To make sure the item was available, I called ahead to confirm that the item was in stock and advised that there were just three bags, remaining, with a back order. When I asked to have one bag put aside until the following morning, April said, "Sure" then wanted to pull up my account screen to make sure my information was current ... only to be advised that my dog was not a patient of the practice. She mentioned that she would be off the following day, but the bag of chews would be in 'the closet.' I stopped by mid-morning the next day, and sure enough, the chews were waiting for me. The young woman who assisted me was so cheery that when she asked if I wanted another bag as there were only two left on the shelf (and back ordered), I figured that I'd better stock up. It's comforting to know there is a vet close by that sells all the products I need to maintain my precious boy's health. read more

With "today's vets" they are more about up-selling the customer than the actual care of your pet. That is what brought me to Tidewater. We have a mix breed dog named Ko, who is 11 years old that suffers from epilepsy. We made an appointment the same day and were taken to the back as soon as we got there. They were extremely polite, professional, and courteous towards his needs. He doesn't like to get his nails clipped and it is world war 3 when we try it. They had him in the back for 5 minutes and they were done with his nails, which I thought was impossible. What I liked the most was when I told the doctor he suffers from epilepsy she didn't try to shove product down my throat (which every vet does when they hear your dog has seizures). She just informed me of potential alternatives and that was it. Lastly, they called 2 days later just to check on him and sent a handwritten card. Really nice to see a business that is getting back old school business. read more

The doctors and staff at Tidewater Vet are great! They always treat our animals like they are important members of our family - which they are! Everyone there is very knowledgeable, patient with answering questions, and ready to give advise when needed! I have referred them to several friends and will continue to do so! read more

Dr Cara Daniel and the other vets And staff at Tidewater are the most caring, knowledgable, and professional vets we have ever used. Our dog has just recovered from being very ill thanks to Dr Daniel. During the months she has been sick, they have called and texted regularly to check on her progress. I also appreciate that she always listened to us and asked for our input on each step of her treatment. read more

Definitely the worst vet I've ever been to. Will never return. I have had very snarky techs. Had one tell me that I was using cat flea/tick prevention on my dog. Was extremely rude about it. The product (that was bought from the vet) was clearly for dogs. I needed to get a surgery for my senior dog and they keep asking me to come in to get in examed. They have seen him at least five times about it. Receptionist was extremely rude when we explain that the vet has already seen him about it multiple times. One time they put their prescription food in my bag and added it to the bill and when we never talked about it. They just want your money. There are much better vets!! read more

I have been taking my yellow lab to Tidewater for about six months now, and Dr. Daniel is great. Her staff is always polite, fast, and accomodating. They offer extended hours , which is great for busy work weeks. My lab is twelve years old, and I have always been given an honest opinion regarding treatment options when something has come up, and it is never financially motivated. I feel I can trust Dr. Daniel and her staff, and that goes a long way. I always feel my dog's best interests are at the top of their priority list. read more

I had the pleasure of both being a client and then getting hired by this clinic. This is one of the most passionate and hard working group of people in the area. As a client, they were always willing to go the extra mile and took such great care of my dog from vaccines to sick appointments. As an employee I could not have been more proud to work with the team I did and would trust any one of the doctors and employees to help care for my pet! read more

I may be biased because this vet is just around the corner from our apartment, but, let's be honest, it's one of the reasons I chose them. Also, the folks who work here are very welcoming, it's a clean and updated space and everyone who works here has been very kind and caring to my grrrrls (two chihuahuas). I liked their online presence and when I stopped in person to scope them out, I was impressed. Both times I've taken my grrrrls in for checkups and nail trims they've done a great job. And they follow up a day or two later to make sure things are going well. Two thumbs up! read more

Excellent experience last week at Tidewater Veterinary. I met with Dr. Schmitt and she was extremely helpful and thorough. All the staff was professional and friendly and I truly appreciated the inclusion of holistic care in addition to the medication that we needed. Poncho is doing much better and he sends his "love"!!! read more

This is the most caring, compassionate vet's office I have been to in a very long time. I started bringing my animals to Dr Daniels on a whim and now will not go anywhere else now! When they could not save my cat, they were so compassionate about his passing and it definitely was not about the money. They don't push unnecessary things either. Their prices are extremely reasonable to and they always fit me in if my animals need, which is extremely helpful especially since one of my is a senior dachshund. Please don't hesitate to take your animals there! You will not be disappointed! read more

My Yorkie became sick while we were on vacation and I took her to Tidewater. What a great experience we had. Dr. Daniel is so caring for her patients and their owners. The staff is awesome and the office is very clean. The next day we got a call from them to see how Abby was doing. I don't get that from my Vet! If I lived in Mt Pleasant I would use her regularly. Her compassion and knowledge is tops and I'm very picky about who sees my dog. I trust Dr. Daniel and take her advice. I wish we lived closer so I could use her. read more

We have known Dr. Cara Daniel for over 4 years. Dr. Daniel and her full staff at Tidewater are absolutely fantastic. They are always kind, caring, accommodating and very knowledgeable. Thank you Dr. Daniel and all of Tidewater for taking such good care of our family! read more

Update: When they called to check on my dogs, I asked about the bloodwork I was told they did on one of them (without my permission.) Turns out...they didn't actually do any. or they lost it? Who knows? I was told now that they didn't do any blood work and didn't know why someone had told me they did do it. I asked again for them to print up all the paperwork I requested and I went in after I got off work to pick that up. I asked the front desk girl to double check that I wasn't charged for any blood work that they didn't do, and I wasn't charged for it. I also asked her why they weren't given the same vaccines, despite her telling me on the phone that they were given the same vaccines. She didn't have a good answer, so she went to get Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel sat with me for a moment and was apologetic about all the mistakes they had made. I asked her to explain why they weren't given the same vaccines. She said that they just did the vaccines each dog was due for. I explained again that they were on the exact same schedule and there should be no difference. She puzzled through all the paperwork I had printed for a few minutes and finally admitted that she didn't know why they weren't given the same vaccines because it appears they should have. She then offered another appointment to bring the one dog back in, again, so that they could do correctly what they had messed up--the proper vaccines and bloodwork that they apparently failed to do. I brought him in the following Saturday and they got me right into a room, took his temperature, took him in the back to get his bloodwork and said they'd return with the Dr. to do his vaccines. After a few minutes Dr. Daniel returned and said his blood work was done, and she'd already done his vaccines in the back as well. I asked her how much they were planning on charging me for this visit. She said she was going to charge half price. I asked her if she thought it was fair that this was the 5th trip I had to make to the office (the second with this dog with me) just so they could fix their incompetent mistakes, and now she planned on charging me even more money to get it fixed. She said she was trying to do me a favor by only charging half price. I said well that's not good enough. At this point she just smiled and turned and started to leave the room. I added that "not good enough" seemed to be par for the course with this office and I left as well. I feel the whole situation was handled badly. They're allegedly going to call me with the blood work results in a day or two...we'll see what happens. Again, my recommendation stands, just don't go here. It is possible that this service I've received is in fact not representative of their usual service, but I leave it up to you whether you want to risk your pet's health and your time/money on the gamble. Good luck. read more

Did some checking around before deciding and then picked these folks to care for our new puppy. Nora and folks there were fantastic - they helped us understand some nuances of the dog that we were curious about and overall did a great job making my little girl feel like her new puppy was being watched by the best. read more

We have a 17 year old dog that we take here. Both vets and the staff are phenomenal. Our baby is always well taken care of. They always do a follow up call to see how he is doing. My own doctor never does that. You can't go wrong trusting them with your pets. read more

My husband and I haven't had a pet for almost 10 years, but for the past few weeks, we've been taking care of our son and daughter-in-law's puppy, Cody, while they're away. He developed a tummy bug a few days ago, and he's just a little thing, so of course we were worried about this being something serious. I've known Dr. Daniel for some time and have felt very confident about her as a vet, so of course she was the first one I thought of when Cody got sick. They were all wonderful there. Not only were we seen promptly and his problem solved quickly, they were warm and kind with Cody - all the good things we want when our pets don't feel well. We can't say enough good things about Tidewater Vet. Gail, Mount Pleasant, SC read more

We initially chose Tidewater Veterinary because it was convenient and we were new to the area. We continue to bring our pets in because the staff is amazing! Even after we rescued a kitten and were referred to a different Vet in Mount Pleasant, we had her records sent over to Tidewater so we could take her there. We will be moving across town soon but will make the drive back to Tidewater because we trust them and know we are in good hands. read more

We were at the beach for a weeks stay. After 4 days our Westie had a serious allergic reaction to something in or around the area we were staying. We called Tidewater Veterinary practice because of it's relative location to where we were. They said to come on in and they would work us in...they were kind from the moment we walked in the door. With a gentleness and sincerity that comes from a true love of animals Dr. Daniel and her staff thoroughly examined and treated our girl. They even called our Home Vet for info on her history. If you are ever in Isle of Palms, or the surrounding beach areas of Charleston, SC and need a Vet with a heart and the knowledge to care for your family pet...this practice is "Awesome". read more
