The vet came in and berated my boyfriend saying "you better not fight this dog." My boyfriend is biracial and I find it hard to believe that she would have said this to a white person. The dog is an American bully and he is loved and cared for. This was extremely disrespectful and ignorant. $60 just to come in and be talked down to like this. This was blatant racist and discriminatory behavior on their behalf and no one should stand behind or support a business that upholds these stereotypes. There are too many good vets in the Charleston area to deal with these people.

She placed a rose quartz heart beneath Ashlyn and then gave it to me to take home. It has a small crack in it that beautifully reflects the crack in my own heart, and it now sits beside her photo. Today, we have our 2 year old English Cream, Lenox, and a recent rescue, Emmie, who we found abandoned on a dirt road. Dr. Oldham has been wonderful with both of them. My fiance and I are both students, so cost and transparency was certainly important to us in choosing a vet. However, I was also looking for a empathetic stress free environment for both my stray cat and myself, as I had never owned a cat before. From the initial form, allowing me to outline our story in advance, our appointment felt so individualized. Sarah R. , our fantastic Vet Tech, had read our case and was called in specially to see Princess because of her experience with strays. She was calm and effective, and I was shocked to see her petting Princess less than 30 seconds after opening her carrier (I had not yet attempted this). She was personable, telling us about her own fur babies, but I also felt she was very thorough in collecting history and let me ask lots of questions. In addition to Sarah's excellence, Dr. Morgan Mcpheeter was calm, efficient, and knowledgeable. I am not a "review" person but for the person out there wondering if they should invest in a Vet Relationship instead of a neuter/spay service, I think Charleston Harbor is everything they've advertised and more (rare in Chs).

Our girl is often standoffish with new people and has never enjoyed the vet especially. When she met Dr. Wilson she actually went over and sat in her lap! This was crazy to us, but very positive to know she felt comfortable with the staff so quickly. She has been using holistic, herbal treatments to help slow the cancer spread and keep a quality of life for the past 8+ months and is doing much better than expected. She has kept on her weight, and overall if you did not know she had cancer you probably would not guess. She did get pneumonia due to a weakened immune system but they were helpful in walking us through everything and showing us her x-rays etc. they called to check up on her and when we do a recheck on her lungs they gave her a full look over and it did not end up costing me an arm and a leg!
