They're open pretty good hours as in early in the morning and I think they close about 8pm. They are open Saturday but not Sunday. If you drop your clothes off early enough they can usually turn them around by later in the day, though I'm not usually in that much of a hurry to get my stuff back. The people are generally friendly and helpful. Over the years from time to time something will get "lost" in that a) It's not done when promised or b) Its done but they can't actually find your items when you show up to pick them up. It doesn't happen often and your items will inevitably turn up usually in the next day or two but it can be annoying. Like most dry cleaners they seem to use a system of managing customer's clothes that feels like it's from the 1940's; it works but isn't perfect. They are good at getting out various stains out of clothes and that's important to a slob like me. Price-wise they aren't that cheap. As of today (4/2016) I think I pay $2/shirt and about $6.50 for a pair of pants. If you drop off women's clothes expect to pay more. Prices go up periodically and honestly I drop off so much stuff each visit I don't really keep track of the cost of each individual item. I'm sure you could do better on price someplace else but overall when you factor in quality, service, hours, etc. I don't feel ripped off. Also they do all cleaning on-site. I'm always hesitant to use a place that sends my clothes out to another location to get cleaned and pressed. The odds of something getting lost or misplaced gets exponentially higher when it has to leave the building and then come back again. So overall I'm happy with Rainbow Cleaners.

I have never posted anything like this before. However, I had such a bad experience yesterday, I had to let everyone know. Last week I dropped off some shirts, slacks and sports coat at Frederick's dry cleaners on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. I have used them for many years even though they sometimes have come up short on execution, in my opinion. I told the person there that one of my shirts need a cuff button replaced and that I needed everything back on (last) Thursday because I was going away Friday morning - I dropped off on Monday to make sure they had time. When I went there late Thursday afternoon, I was told that nothing would be in before Friday afternoon, as that was what was put in their system as the date wanted. Having returned, I went there yesterday to pick everything up. When I got there, they told me that they could not clean one of my shirts as it required dry cleaning. This was a cotton shirt that they have cleaned many times i the past. The person I spoke with yesterday agreed that there was nothing to indicate "dry clean only" and had no explanation as to why it wasn't done. I also saw that the cuff button on the shirt was not replaced even though my receipt showed a charge for a button replacement. I then noticed that my sports coat had a 1-2 inch mark on the sleeve from a marker or a pen. The person there called the store manager to let them know that I was extremely unhappy with the service. She then gave the phone to me so I could speak with the manager, who then told me that she didn't want to hear what I had to say and hung up on me. The person in the store called her back and told me that the manger refused to speak with me. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize Cleaning By Frederick and recommend that no one else does.

Upon returning to pick up my dry cleaning, I was promptly greeted by the same (oddly dressed) woman and she quickly got my order from the back. All of the clothing was very well taken care of and well packaged. The total bill came out to be $26, so I was relatively pleased. I certainly would come back here if in the area again, hopefully they stay in business because the store front looks quite dated and the location is awkwardly placed squeezed into the middle of a strip mall.

I decided to try a new place because Laundry Express was starting to get expensive (though they do…read morean excellent job, so I judge all other laundromats against them). I dropped off my laundry at the 1st Ave location and Angie was really sweet and told me that I could get my laundry delivered the next day instead of driving back. Dave was super accommodating and helped get my account set up so I could get my clothes delivered. He is pretty consistent with saying when he has dropped off your clothes and is readily available by text. Prices for pick up and delivery are reasonable but it's a bit of a crap shoot if your clothes get damaged: one of my shirts were not washed separately so it stained but I was able to remove it. I sent a picture to him but it wasn't really acknowledged, which was disappointing. The second time I used them, I made explicit instructions to wash some clothes separately, including my lab coat. I had a yelp coupon and he was able to comp it via the app, which was nice, but my lab coat came back dingy. FWIW the clothes smelled clean but based on my experience I am not sure I would use them again.
