This was our first time trying a K-POT restaurant. We had a table of 8 and everyone was new to…read moreK-POT. Our sever did an exceptional job explaining how the ordering worked. Ordering is a little confusing because the food is brought out for the entire table not per guest. Example three people at table order crab it all comes out on one plate not three different plates. The food overall was good especially the Thai tom yum broth. The veggies were all fresh and delicious. The meat selection for the K-POT was a little bland but not bad. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. A few notes to remember if you give K-POT a try. All you can eat but 2 hour time limit $15 dollar fee if you have extra food left over or if you want to take anything home.

I saw this place opened and was excited to try it, as I love all ethnic food. It was an extremely…read moredisappointing experience. If not for Wendy, who was absolutely delightful and very helpful, we would never been able to navigate the complicated ordering process, which you have to do on a tablet. She was the only reason why I gave 2 stars. Our food was delivered very promptly (thanks to Wendy), which was the only good thing about it. I didn't mind the interactive method, as I cook nearly every meal for myself. It was the quality, or lack thereof of the protein that was the problem. The "fish cakes" were completely tasteless, as if we were eating tofu. ALL of the meat was very chewy, with one being so full of connective tissue to be rendered inedible. After chewing for a long time I eventually just spit it out. After we had finished the 1st order Wendy asked if we wanted to reorder, but by that time we had had quite enough. The only thing that I really liked was the sauces, which helped to cover up the taste of the meat. The worst surprise was when we got the check, as both the hot pot and the grill for 2 totaled $83. I left a generous tip for Wendy, as the food wasn't her fault, and she couldn't possibly have been more accommodating. I saw the many 5-star reviews, and saw their accompanying pics. I can only think that their 5-star reviews were due to younger people not really knowing good food from bad, as this was the worst food I've had in a long time. I cannot imagine anyone utilizing their entire 2-hour allotment to eat this food. We couldn't get out the door fast enough.

We were seated after the people who walked in after us. Some tables received water and no complimentary bread/olives while others received no water but complimentary bread/olives. Our bread was also sitting out for some time as the baker was not present to make it fresh at the time. It appeared very stale. The restaurant was half empty but it took over an hour (in addition to the understood 25 minute maklouba prep) for our main entree to come out. When it did, there was no apology and we had to ask if the accompanying labneh was on its way for the maklouba. The maklouba itself had rice grains not fully cooked. The server was avoiding eye contact as we tried to ask for more napkins, water and an update on our order. It then took another thirty minutes for us to get the check and pay, which was only possible because we got up. We watched as people waited so long to not only be seated but to also check out. The menu has a lot to offer of the Palestinian culture but the lack of service, lack of freshness and lack of efficiency won't have us coming back.

Highly recommend their fried cheese and muhammarah. For the entrees, the chicken and kefta plates are amazing and very flavorful. I've also tried their warm milk drink that has very nice rose flavor. We usually have to wait for 10-15 min before getting seated but it's very much worth the wait. The service was fast and attentive. The interior decor is chic and culturally rich. There are just so many options and I have to come back to try more entrees and drinks.

I've been on a quest for Prime Rib! So, I decided to try Grumpy's. Always ordered rare, which means…read moreyou get medium rare at all the places I've tried. I've had tender, cut with a fork prime rib years ago, but I cannot this elusive cut anywhere in the Lehigh Valley. The places I've tried were all good, but none were great! I've tried prime rib at Millers Ale House, Prime Steakho.use, Texas Roadhouse, Outback, Longhorn. While the seasoning and taste varies from place to place; the one common element is having to saw the steak with a knife to cut it. This results in excessive chewing of the meat. This really reduces overall enjoyment of the prime rib experience. To get what I want from a prime rib experience will probably require paying $60 plus dollars and a long drive from the Lehigh Valley. Grumpy's of course serves smoked prime rib. I love smoked meats but not when it comes to prime rib I discovered. So, I won't be getting the $32 dollar, 16oz prime rib there again. I will be ordering the blackened bleu cheese burger with bacon and the ribs again! Onion rings a must for me. The side salad (adds $2) is excellent! Not just iceburg lattuce. I chose cole slaw as a side' it's good but their style of pink cole slaw is not for me. You get a piece of corn bread, but it's tiny and totaly underwhelming compared to cornbread elsewhere. The staff is courteous, attentive, and friendly. The ambience leaves much to be desired. To me feels like a bikers bar, which it is not. At the end of the day Grumpy's gets a B+ in my book and I will occasionally visit for lunch or dinner. Note: Their Au Jus is highly recommended and is not served with the meal. Must be asked for and you'll be glad you did!

Roadhouse is the perfect word for this place. It's packed with Americana and has a really homey, laid-back feel. I wish it were closer to where I live because there were a lot of things on the menu I'd love to come back and try--especially the Creole/Cajun options. This visit I went with the wings and the gumbo. The wings were smoked and really good, and the gumbo was just as tasty. It also looks like they can pack a crowd in here--they've got a bunch of live music acts scheduled through January. If this place were closer, I'd be here a lot more often. That said, anytime I'm heading back to Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays, this will definitely be part of the same-day plan.
