I have had a lot of tacos in my life--all the way down in Texas, Los Angeles (which I personally think has the best tacos), Washington D.C., Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida--so I know my tacos pretty well.
Recently, I decided to stop at a taco joint that I'd seen on the side of the road. Of course I was excited, because it's a taco truck! The setup is very nice; they have seating in the back and also in the front. You can also get drinks, which is great (and I'm talking about regular sodas, not the ones that make you feel a little funny and wake up the spirits).
However, I was focusing on the tacos. I ordered three and tried the lingua and shredded chicken. I must say, they did give me an authentic taco using two corn tortillas, which tasted amazing and paired perfectly with a fresh, glass-bottle Coca-Cola, of course.
As I sat and indulged in the taco, I first ate the meat by itself to taste it, and I must say it was bland and unseasoned. Then I continued to eat the rest of the tacos, and let's just say the sauce made up for it.
So, if you ask me, "Would you stop there to get a taco again?" Probably not. But if it were the end of the world, I would stop here and eat the tacos--I just wouldn't go out of my way. The place is very convenient, though: there's parking right out front, and the tacos come out very fast.
