Namaste! This is the place to go for supplies from Lhassa. These guys have a direct pipeline to Tibet somehow, and get all the coolest jewelry, textiles and home décor. Their stuff all smells heavily of incense. In fact, you can get that here too. This place seems to be in the heart of Little Tibet around the Haight Ashbury District, with another Tibetan store competition across the street, For the Love of Ganesha. This one seems to be more focused on the decor side, and less on the metaphysical side of things from Tibet. When I went, the clerk was friendly. The prices were a bit high, especially seeing where they get this stuff, but it's all been schlepped back on a hippie's back or on a camel or something. I went to purchase a sticker that was labeled $4.99. They charged me $48. I am accountable for not asking for a reciept, as it was just a sticker however in hindsight this was a lesson for me. I noticed a charge a day after. I noticed it, called, and man, which is the same person that was at the register asked if I was in the city. I told him I wasn't as I was visiting. He then told me to call him the day after and said he was busy and hung up on me mid talk. Didn't seem very understanding or accommodating, and didn't really prioritize my phone call. Had so many beautiful rings here!! There crystal selection was on the smaller side and yet they CAUGHT MY EYE. I definitely fell in love with this smokey quartz tower and I got it for such a great price as well! This smokey tower is from Brazil and has rainbow inclusions on the sides of the gem. This is one of my bigger towers in my collection and I am SO excited to place this beauty with the rest of my crystal babies! Would have given 5 stars, however, the people running the shop did not seem to be too knowledgeable on which crystals were which. I relied on my own knowledge of crystals, however, not everyone (myself included) knows the different kinds of crystals and what properties each stone may have. If you are just starting to get into crystals, I would recommend going to a different shop first before coming here so you have someone who can explain to you the meaning behind the stones you are attracted to! read more

My friend and I were looking at rings at the counter and they accused me of stealing and made me empty my pockets even though there was an employee directly in front of me watching my every move and someone watching me from behind. I was wearing 6 rings when I walked into the store. Once they realized I did not in fact attempt to steal anything they still proceeded to be rude to my friend and I. It was super uncomfortable and I will not be returning here nor recommending this store to anyone. I have read other reviews of the same thing happening they clearly need to improve this. This is a GREAT shop located right in the heart of The Haight. They have tons of great jewelry, clothing, and art all created with the influence of Tibetan Spirituality. This shop is located on the corner of Clayton and Haight so it is very easy to find. As we all know, parking in The Haight can be a mess so I am not even going to go into giving you any suggestion about that. But, once you find a parking spot this shop is easy to locate. The moment you go into this shop you are bombarded with beautifully colored Tibetan tapestries and clothing items. Various Buddha statues, deity thangks, and Om symbols line the walls of the shop. It is really a very visual place to go into. They also have several tables with jewelry and other items spread around the shop. This is a fairly small shop but it is jammed full of great items for that person who is seeking that uniquely Tibetan novelty. This is a smoke/gift shop located in the super cool hippie haven Haight Ashbury. Packed wall to wall with leather, incense, satchels, jewelry, henna, tie dye, jackets, hats, scarves, wraps and a plethora of other trinkets you can't afford to miss out on. I tried to shop at this store yesterday. I looked at the jewellery in the windows, and saw two necklaces I was interested in. You see, anyone who knows me, knows I'm a big jewellery collector and that that's where most of my disposable income goes! Those two necklaces, both with blue stones, caught my eye, and so I went to the entrance to go in... What should've been a wheelchair-accessible entrance was NOT: There were so many other items blocking the entrance, not even the thinnest, smallest wheelchair would've been able to fit through without damaging the items blocking the way! There was no sign outside indicating how wheelchair users could contact the employees to ask for assistance. I called into the store several times asking for help, but the woman at the counter ignored me. A couple of people on the street behind me even heard my calls and yelled in, "Hey, you've got a customer!". But alas, no help came. After trying for several minutes I gave up and left those two beautiful blue-stoned necklaces that I probably would've bought! What a shame that this business can't be bothered to make their store accessible to disabled customers simply by dehoarding their entry! I am posting this review to let the store know that they are missing out on A LOT of income by keeping wheelchair-dependent customers like myself out of their store! read more

Walking down Haight Street we discovered this clothing store where a high-fashion boutique used to be, on the northeast corner of Haight and Clayton. If I had known it wouldn't be in the business directory yet, I would have taken more notes. This is one of the many Tibetan stores that seem to be springing up on Haight these days. It looks like a place where college undergraduates can spend their allowances to get their '60s hippie look, only it's at brand-new retail prices. For example, a two-piece belly dancing outfit, just a bra and skirt, is $60. Two yards of wool, nicely woven and decorated, is $45. There's a case of silver jewelry, and lots of flowing, multicolored, gauzy dresses that look like they are waiting to be tea-dyed and patchouli oil scented. A little further down the street, say at Aardvark's or Goodwill, you can get your hippie look for what the hippies paid. read more

Had to grab a few late Christmas gifts since I was in the area and man does this place have a lot of mercy to look at. The venue is small and is ruined by an old Asian couple who are very nice and lenient on striking some great deals. Amongst all of the items I found a really nice silver and turquoise ring for my boyfriend's sister and a rally awesome detailed skull. I was with my boyfriend and his family. Worker said because I look like someone that would steal. Asked him why because I'm Asian? He had no proof and I emptied my bag, my pockets and my shopping bag. He still kept accusing me of stealing a ring. Why would I steal cheap ass crap from a pathetic store. i went into this store and within being in there for 3 minutes, the shop owner came up to me talking about how a ring was missing (i was standing in front of the rings at the time). i wear typically 4-5 rings on my fingers so i could understand the red flag but the owner was very persistent in showing me how one was missing and how big of a deal it was. i was rather uncomfortable and decided to eventually leave. before i left i noticed the ring was back where the owner said it was missing. it was an uncomfortable experience. it's important to note that there is a lot of stuff in a very small space so navigating through other people is difficult and awkward. read more

When this shop first opened I thought, "great, just what we need, another Tibetan import store" since Haight Street is riddled with them. But once I stepped inside I changed my mind. Now, I'm not a hippie by any facet of the imagination but sometimes well-meaning family members assume I am because I care about nature, the environment, travel, music, etc. My style is somewhat bohemian and I adore geometric patterns and color. I often come to this store when I'm looking for something eccentric to add to my wardrobe. My lovely and fancy friend bought a gorgeous necklace here that I thought she bought at a fancy department store. If you have a good eye, you can spot many treasures in this lovely establishment. I got a plain 24K gold-dipped, thin band bracelet here and the price was very reasonable at $30.00. I don't get why so many of these reviewers think they can just saunter into the store and beg for discounts. This is not a flea market! Do you people know how expensive rent is for shops on Haight Street? You people are clueless and I suspect, have entitlement issues. The prices are already pretty damn low. I can't imagine you walking into another boutique on Haight Street, such as Ambiance, and haggling with them. I saw a gorgeous, Tibetan-looking handbag on a fancy web retailer out of L.A. and the bag was, not kidding, $1000! I thought to myself, "I bet I can find one of those on Haight Street!" So I walked into the Tibetan Gift Corner and there it was... a smaller, prettier version for only $35.00. The owner said it came from Nepal, and it was very well made with recycled sari silk threads, colorful burlap and hand-embroidered details. I also bought a gorgeous 100% rayon, woven, red-orange scarf for $25.00. I spotted some amazing handmade quilts the last time I was there. The colors, patterns and textures were amazing. The craftmanship was excellent. I can appreciate all the hard work that goes into these peasant handicrafts. I believe the shop owners are doing these crafters a huge favor, bringing their wares to the U.S. and supplying an impoverished nation with a source of income. And to all of you people complaining about the "poor" service. The owners are from Tibet and barely speak english. Maybe it's not part of their culture to kiss your ass and smile incessantly at you while you try to haggle with them. The owners have been nothing but pleasant with me. read more

They had supposed "silver chains" at the register and I asked the guy working if it was real silver and he said yes, I forget the price but I've been buying silver jewelry for a couple years I know when it's too cheap it has to be fake... few months later the chain starts to leave green on my neck & I go back to the shop to get a refund or exchanged (with a screenshot of purchase on my bank statements that I showed him that literally said the name of the shop) & he refused to do anything for me and told me I bought it somewhere else. I have a weird interest in Tibetan stores, mostly because they always have such interesting, off-beat items floating about. This was probably one of 3 or 4 Himalayan stores I saw on Haight-Ashbury. While some of the jewelry finds themselves were a little pricey (think $8-$40), they had a lot of really cool trinkets and odds-and-ends throughout the store, so it was just really fun to browse around. I ended up buying some Tibetan hand-rolled incense sticks for my parents, since they're Buddhist. read more

Went to Haight street for the first time expecting to be overwhelmed by shops with merchandise to live up to the legend that is Haight Street. Saw a lot of cool stuff, however not really what I had in mind, and most shops were pretty darn pricey. Most shops seemed to have very little variety for men to choose from as well. I had walked all up and down the area about to give up hope, until I noticed this little store. I was absolutely amazed at all the stuff that they are able to fit in that small space. I found some great pants (finally pants that weren't tie-dye or jeans!) at a more than reasonable price. They are great quality and very comfortable. The owner was nice, although I could tell he didn't know too much English. I will definitely be coming back here next time I am back in the bay area. The only downside was the place has so much merch packed into the store, that it can be hard to navigate through when there is a lot of traffic, no biggie though. read more

FIRST AND LAST TIME VISITING THIS STORE! I went in with some friends to browse and I began to try on rings as the store was recommended to me. After not finding any rings that I liked, I continued looking at other items on the same table. The worker then comes over and sees that a ring is missing which is when he began to question ONLY ME AND MY FRIEND despite other people trying on rings at the same time I did (the friend did not try on anything but was also accused along with me). After telling him that we did not take anything, he continued to persist that we did to the point that we even showed him our empty pockets. We left feeling embarrassed and discriminated against after being the only dark skinned brown people questioned in a store full of white/light skinned customers. Management, please do better than randomly accusing people simply because "they look suspicious" no, that's just colorism/profiling. read more

Aw I love this place. I bought a pair of colorful woven finger-less gloves here that I love and that people are strangely drawn to, also a really great hooded zip-up vest that looks like a sheep (for Burning Man), and who knows how many accessories. Had an awful experience. This store is extremely over priced for the actual cost of the Jewelery. Only allowed exchange after I came to return earrings that broke the first day I got them. The exchange was for $25, there was nothing in the store for $5 so I got two crystals that came to $26 (bc there wasn't anything for $5 with the crystal I wanted) and he said no and wouldn't make the sale with the difference being a dollar. Popped in here to buy a comfy shoulder bag for Coachella and was floored! I don't usually wear this style because my job requires me to don business professional garb, but I couldn't help but be enamored by the apparel and merchandise. The clothing was well-priced, authentic, and unique. I was also impressed by the sizes: too often when I find authentic tunics they are truly huge on me, but I could find sizes that actually fit my small frame. Their selection of bags was far and above the most extensive on the strip that is Haight St. They also have a variety of small items that are usually hard to find in the US. Cute stuff in there I will admit, but way overpriced! On top of that, they watch you like a hawk in that store. Literally one of the shop women was right next to me staring as I tried on jewelry. I know they probably deal with theft there a lot if the security is that tight, but there definitely is a balance between keeping an eye out for suspicious people and breathing down someone's neck while they try to shop. Cute jewelry definitely, but maybe if their prices were more reasonable, people would be less inclined to steal and therefore less security and therefore a better shopping experience for all. read more
