Bean & Cheese Taco on corn
Brian B.

Picked up some breakfast tacos before heading into work from here recently. Since our order was to go, we were able to place our order at the side counter. After about 5 minutes, our order came up. When we got to work, we noticed a couple of extra tacos were in the bag. The cashier had rung us up for 2 extra potato and chorizo tacos. Wasn't too big of a deal. My bean and cheese were pretty good. I especially liked the type of cheese that was used. We only got green salsa, which was a shame because my wife enjoys the red salsa from there. I will definitely come back in the future.

Chopped up bacon fat.

Don't order a bacon and egg taco unless you like little bits of chopped up bacon fat. They try to save money by not giving a whole strip of bacon. Not worth the price.

Can't beat the breakfast tacos. Call ahead and get them to go. Friendly staff and authentic breakfast tacos.

Love the environment, the decorations are so nice and the ladies that I met were very nice! I took take out but I got my food in less than 5 minutes and the papa rancheros 10/10!

This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. Everything is always hot and fresh and the staff is so friendly. I love that they open at 4:30 am, so when I get the early morning taco craving I have a place to go! The kiddo really likes the pancake plate, and I've grown fond of the chorizo a la Mexicana tacos (not pictured). The bean and cheese tacos are some of the best around, and don't sleep on their puffy tacos! My only small gripe is, like a lot of taco shops in town, they aren't open for dinner. They close at 3pm.

I went to a Mexican restaurant for fish and chips. They were delicious. Fish and chips are a little hard to find. This place is a winner. Of course they have all your favorites. Great service. The place is nice and clean with lots of parking. Can't go wrong here.

Great, homey Tex-Mex restaurant atmosphere, service was friendly if not particularly fast. The chicken burrito was good, though nothing to write home about. A tad bland, even with a dose of salsa to kick things up. Still, I'd give it a three or four out of five stars were it not for the state of the cutlery. I got a dirty knife (pictured) even though it was wrapped in a napkin. This was replaced but it did leave an impression. This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Everything is cooked by order by hand and you can watch the people in the back making magic it's fabulous. My only regret is I didn't take any pictures of the food. Next time I'll load them up

But we met here the day before Father's Day at 6pm and they accommodated our group of 20 with no problems at all. All of the servers/hostesses were so kind and quick! Best service at a las palapas location so far. Despite our group being large, all of the food arrived at the same time and piping hot and delicious. I'd definitely return even though I have several locations right by my house. Also wanted to add how beautiful the exterior is! Inside is super clean as well. Smells great too (the restrooms were VERY clean and have a great smell. That's unheard of in restaurants these days for sure). Great job las palapas y'all are doing something right ! Side note- there's a huge indoor patio that you can reserve for large parties! Definitely keeping that in mind for large bdays/holidays.

When we get there, they are sill setting up so we wait for a little bit before being seated. Once seated I look over the menu and order the puffy taco plate. When the order comes out all looks good. I try the rice and beans first and they are both good, well-seasoned and still warm. When I bite into the puffy taco, I get a very greasy mouthful of a very dry and stale tasting taco shell. I bring this to the attention of our server, and he apologized for the kitchen and offered to bring me something else so I order the enchiladas con crema. When that comes out it is very tasty and much better tasty than the puffy tacos. Overall, I will come back to Las Palapas but to the one by my house that I normally go to. Hopefully this location has better quality control to avoid an issue like this from happening again.

Our server was super nice and on top of everything, the prices were reasonable and the portions filling and so full of taste and flavor. The queso Flameado was made table side which was a nice touch watching them fold the cheese and chorizo while the plate was on fire was a nice touch. ( I will say eat it fast as it does cool and thicken quickly). We got grilled shrimp tacos on the puffy shell along with spicy chicken fajita, ground beef and shredded chicken puffy tacos and they were all to die for. The atmosphere inside is fun, and feels so authentic. The only regret i have is that we waited so long (almost 4 years) to try this despite being told many times by friends that its a must visit. If you are in the area stop in and give it a go, i dont think you will be disappointed!

There were no cars in the driveway or inside beyond those working there. They were polite and kind taking my order. It gave vibes of a place to hang out after school if you were in high school. The fish tacos were mostly breading and it wasn't quality fish underneath it all. I hadn't eaten the whole day and it was so bad that I decided I'd rather be hungry than finish the tacos. The flautas were flavorful, though unevenly so. Some had cream and cheese drizzled on top while others had guacamole and salsa. It was like I had two separate orders of taquitos because the taste between them was drastically different. Again, the meat to breading ratio was off and I didn't finish them. I peeled away much of the fried tortilla portion to get a bit of chicken. I left this meal disappointed. It was what I'd expect to eat at a football concession stand.
