OMG THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! Wife and I had dinner here last night, the service and food were excellent, huge portions and not expensive. As a matter of fact they could cut the portions in half and keep the same prices and it would still be an awesome deal. We ordered the fried goat cheese app, it was yummy. We both got salads, when they bring the salads out you get bread. Not just any bread, but bread that is baked in the restaurant. The bread is soooooooooo good I could have eaten 20 slices of it, but we only ate one basket which had about 6 slices in it. For our main course wife had skillet cheese tortellini which was delicious and I had chicken mushroom risotto which was also delicious. It comes with a piece of chicken breast on top. Not sure what they do the breast but it had an awesome flavor. The breast had some Parmesan on top but I think maybe also inside it too. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Weston!!! BTW, this place is so damn good, we were going to back the next night for dinner, but when I called for reservations, they were closed for a private event. If you are going to go to this restaurant, make reservations for sure! read more

I live about 30 minutes from Weston and was told that this was an excellent restaurant and would be worth the drive. I was not disappointed. We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. It wasn't crowded since it was a Thursday night and I was somewhat concerned about service after reading some previous reviews. Our waitress was wonderful. We stumbled across Thyme Bistro while looking to see what was available beyond the many fast food restaurants in the area. Although I was initially skeptical upon arriving, I couldn't be happier about the decision to drive a couple minutes out of the way. At another reviewer's suggestion, we had the bistro fries as a starter. They were slightly oily toward the bottom due to the way they're presented, but even that didn't detract from the taste. Our main course was equally well done and although we had no room for dessert, the food was so good we brought some home to eat at a later time. The prices aren't much more than your average chain restaurant and the quality was far superior. Our only complaint would be the service was a bit slow at times. However, the wait staff were professional and our waitress apologized for taking so long. It wasn't enough of an issue that I felt the need to deduct a star. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes and I would encourage anyone to do the same. read more

We were highly disappointed that we were turned away for service at your restaurant because we didn't have reservations. At the time we were inside your restaurant there were only a couple of customers seated inside, which left over 80% of the restaurant open for our business. However, the oh so friendly host stated the earliest he could get us seated was 7:30. We had read reviews of your place and were looking forward to trying it out. It was a major let down how we we're treated at your establishment. Apparently, y'all only want a selective group of people. We traveled in from out of town to visit the insane asylum and eat at your restaurant. The host referred us to a BBQ restaurant instead of seated us at your place. The BBQ restaurant was very welcoming and took care of all seven of us. I would think that having customers and taking care of them would be a HIGH priority to your restaurant. I would not recommend Thymes. I would highly recommend the Hickory House where they know how to treat and take care of customers. read more

Hard to give a review when the hours of operation are so limited. When we did make it in we were asked if we had made reservations and were told we would have to wait for 2 and 1/2 hours. This would have been acceptable except over half of the restaurant was empty! Really felt as if they could care less to have our business or not. read more

Drove through Weston from Florida back to Canada today and lucked out. Googled a spot to eat and found this true gem. Small menu, yes, but not limiting at all. I told Sarah, our server that I was a picky Italian and I loved my pasta Montagna. Crisp and fresh house salad. House made roll. Reasonably priced bottle of wine. My wife also loved her salmon, potato cake and veggies. Everything was seasoned to our liking. I was extremely pleased when Chef Kraus came to our table to say hello. I would definitely try and make the effort to stop again next year on our trip down or back. read more

Our family of 6 visited this restaurant for lunch and everyone was fully stuffed with yummy goodness when we left. My husband and I enjoyed the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich with Bistro fries. The portions were large and filling. My kids inhaled the Spaghetti and Meatballs from the children's menu and the Fennel and Onion soup, which was the kettle of the day. We wrapped it up with a delicious Lemon Butter Cake for dessert. The only reason I give Thyme Bistro 4 stars is because it is a bit dark inside. read more

My husband and I were staying in Buckhannon for the night on our way home from vacation. The front desk staff recommended this restaurant. WOW are we glad they did. Unimpressive from the outside but cozy and intimate inside. We had a good bottle of wine that Wasnt overly expensive. We both ordered the filet mignon and agreed that it was hands down the best filet either of us had ever had. It was perfectly cooked and presented. We eat a lot of steaks and my husband travels for work and has been to some famous restaurants and still thinks this was the best. The server was very friendly and attentive without hovering. We ordered over the phone and were treated very poorly while placing the order. When we went to pick the order up, the person was upset and very rude because we asked to have an order split and behaved as though they were doing us a favor just to fill our order. When we called to complain we were told that we called at a busy time with an large order that they were too busy to deal with. We won't bother them again with large or small orders. I don't care if the food is decent.... the experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Should work on customer service. read more
