Ordered a cheeseburger and potato salad. Cheeseburger was decent although slightly overcooked but otherwise, fairly solid burger. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Came for an advertised bingo night that they then cancelled without communicating. Also had multiple servers just sitting around, but the service wouldn't show that. Just disappointing that the advertised event was cancelled without notice and without the serving telling us. Plus employees were vaping in front of the bar. Just not a huge fan. read more

Their servers leave something to be desired. The day we were there, they had one or two servers that didn't go to work, the manager had to come in on his day off to help but still wasn't anyone that would come take our order(s). We were there an hour before our actual order was taken and we had to practically wait on ourselves for napkins, silverware, and refills for our drinks. While there, they never cleaned off other tables and we seen at least one couple that left without getting anything since they didn't get any service either. I wouldn't give 1 star but that is the minimum.. I have been to this restaurant several times now since it is close to our home and the kitchen is open until 11pm. Saturday 5/11/24 we reluctantly visited hoping for a better experience than the past few.. it was horrible. In fact probably the worst we have ever experienced in a restaurant setting. Travis brought out our appetizers and we asked him to be our server since our drinks were at the bar for over 30 minutes and we finally retrieved them ourselves. In fact one of the servers made eye contact, rolled her eyes and went back to scrolling on her phone when a member of our table raised her hand to get her attention. Had it not been for Travis we would have walked out.. He was extremely helpful and apologized for the lack of service from the 3-4 servers who were standing around on their phone. He continued to cook and also helped our table. I wish more people had his work ethic. The atmosphere is open and inviting. It is kid friendly with a small arcade. Now let's get to the food, three of our guests ordered the French dip sandwich. It was literally a chopped up hamburger with Swiss cheese on a hoagie bun. The au jus was so salty none of us could dip our sandwiches in it. The chicken strips seem to be pre breaded frozen chicken patties. You can get better chicken strips from most gas stations for less money. We have tried the master burger in the past and it was so salty I could only eat about 1/4 of it. If you like extra salty mediocre food and horrible service this is the place for you!! read more

I could bathe in a vat of Whiteys cheese sauce. Yet inexplicably, their "cheesesteak" does not utilize it's perfect creamy, melty divineness, instead opting for a modest slice of completely unmelted cheese, with chunks of unremarkably seasoned meat and only a few meager slices of pepper and onion. They may want to look up a picture of a real cheesesteak for reference- they are truly thisclose to something actually craveable instead of merely something serviceable with that. They also need to learn to read the room when it comes to blaring music. It was cranked loud, which would be fine for a place like this when it's bar hours (after 9 pm-ish) but annoying for the early dinner and conversation crowd, which was it clearly was- families with small children, a 60th birthday party, and small groups of couples and friends seemingly in the 30+ age range. Nutshell: Tasty bar fare, fair prices, friendly service. Would recommend a stop in. I needed a quick dinner to bring back to the campground. Thunderbirds was close by and their menu was within my wheelhouse. They were pretty busy when I rolled, so I sidled up to the bar to place my to-go order. The bartender was very friendly and attentive to everyone at the bar. I ordered the chicken philly with crinkle fries. It took about 20ish minutes and I was out the door and into the snow. The philly was great. Good flavor, nice meat to pepper and onion ratio, hoagie bun was soft and stood up to the weight of the filling. The crinkle fries were crinkle fries. I kept half the sandwich for the next day and even cold, it was very good. My total was about $13. Absolutely reasonable for a very tasty dinner with leftovers. read more

I've been to eat here more times than I can count! We always order ahead and pick it up to go. I've had so many great items from this menu. I love the Barbarian burger and especially the Sidewinder Fries! I can also recommend the Chicken Fried Steak as well as the Fish & Chips! Never disappointed here!! read more

They did not have a Cabernet wine so we settled for a Pinot noir. Serves it in a whiskey glass. Second wine hot served in a rocks glass. 1st beer was in a glass and the second one was in a plastic cup. Cheeseburger we ordered was almost raw. Sad that a bar/grill can't have a simple wine and even a wine glass to put it in. This place is SO low-brow it's disgusting. It also looks like a cafeteria and has no ambience. We visited this establishment with a group of 10 people on Saturday May 11. This was my first visit to Thunderbirds, and also my last. I have not been this disappointed in years. Our group arrived an hour and 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. However we waited 15-20 minutes for someone to even come take our drink orders. This was after watching three servers look at us and watch us wait. One of whom had a disgusting attitude toward our entire party. We finally had our drink order taken and then our waitress seemingly just gave up on helping us. We had to retrieve our own drinks from the bar. Which had been sitting there at least 15 minutes. While our waitress is busy scrolling on her phone or on the computer. A gentleman named Travis is the only reason we didn't get up and walk out. This man took our food order, cooked our food, and took drink orders. The food (to no fault of Travis) was mediocre at best. Three of us ordered the French dip. I maybe ate half because I was starving. It was literally chopped up hamburger with cheese on it. And the aujus was watered down and so salty it wasn't even worth having on the plate. The cheese fries were the best thing we had out of all our meals. And to Travis... you deserve a raise and a promotion because you're the only reason they made any profit from us that night. read more

I took my sister there for her birthday she ordered chicken and noodles she said their was more cold mashed potatos than chicken and noodles and the chicken tasted like it came out of a can. The last three times I visited this restaurant nobody in the kitchen ever wore gloves or hair nets my son had ordered chicken wings and the guy in the back was eating the chicken wings before my son got his scratching his head licking his fingers and when the girls served me my chili I told her it was cold she walked back to the kitchen to tell the guy I thought it was cold and she stuck her finger in my chili I would never eat there again if you eat there pay attention to the kitchen staff none of them will be wearing gloves. **POSTING FOR A FRIEND** I stopped in last night on the way home and the place was packed. It only opened two days ago, and the parking lot has been full ever since it opened. I sat at the bar and was quickly served a beer and a menu. Standard bar favorites dominate the menu. The Philly Cheese steak sandwich caught my eye and didn't disappoint. Tender steak, grilled onions and peppers and cheese. The sandwich came on a big hoagie roll, and was almost too much for one person. I ordered onion rings as the side. They were fried to delicious golden-brown perfection and the beer in the batter was noticeable and tasty. Dinner and two beers ran about $20, so it is not cheap, but you get good value for your money and the food is good. The service deserves separate mention. They were adequately staffed for the large crowd they had, and the servers were hustling all over the place and keeping people happy. Keep up the good work! read more

Went here after my son's baseball game and it was terrible. The waitress was great but the food was bad & the facilities were bad. I am handicapped so ADA compliance is important for me. Their handicapped parking did not meet ADA standards & the grab rail in the men's bathroom was laying on the floor. It was difficult for me to navigate the restroom because of this. Never actually got waited on. I checked in with the wait staff when we came in to make sure it was self-seating. No one ever checked on us or even asked after drinks so we gave them a certain amount of additional time then left.
