Classic American Meal.

The service was fast and the quality of the food was very good for the price. The members of staff were very friendly and while a few of the tables needed wiped down, overall the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be back in the future!

Loaded cheeseburger with onion rings

I was in the Topeka area for a short while recently and I made my usual Spangles run...the only difference was I went to the 29th St. location vs the one on Wanamaker. Omg... huge mistake. In my opinion, 29th St. doesn't compare. It didn't seem like the same burger joint at all. I realize cooks vary, but my goodness. It appeared that the top on the shaker was loose and I got the majority of the contents...salt! Not happy, At ALL, neither was my palate or tummy. The same with the onion rings. Why in The World would you sprinkle so much salt on onion rings? I've NEVER not been able to eat onion rings due to an infestation of salt. Unsure what happened, but Please fix this. The best thing about my meal was the ice, literally. My daughter's burger was the same. She immediately complained. Love, love, love Spangles, but not planning to return to 29th St. location. It was a little more convenient at the time, but I'm more convinced than ever that all convenience is not good convenience. It was a totally different experience whereas my burger didn't even come close to what the Wanamaker location serves. Idk??? I'm dumbfounded, but believe me, I won't stay that way. When I recover, no doubt, it'll be Spangles on Wanamaker here I come!

There are other locations of this popular Kansas chain, but this one was close by when we got the hungries. We chose the drive-thru and took our food to a park. Bookguy ordered a turkey pita wrap that had deli turkey, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pickles on buttered pita. He liked it and said it was very filling. It came with tasty fries that we shared. Bookguy decided to leave room for dessert after he saw the creation I ordered so we didn't finish the fries, but they were excellent. I splurged on a turtle slide: layers of soft serve, gourmet chocolate, sea salt caramel and your choice of Snickers, Reese's Pieces, M&M's or peanut. I chose Snickers. Wow! It was wonderful! The soft serve was creamy and topping was so thick it was a bit challenging to get through it. I didn't notice if it came in different sizes at the time, but it was so rich I wish I had been able to get a smaller one. Bookguy was inspired by my dessert and we went back to get him the same thing but with peanuts. We were both close to food coma status when we finished eating. Lucky for us we had dogs to walk. Kansas folks are fortunate to have Spangles in several location around the state so if you want to give them a try: road trip!

My diabetic donuts

I have to agree. I've been to 3 different Spangles locations so that doesn't make me an expert so to speak, but I feel I tasted enough of their food to relieve make a well thought-out decision. First what I like about the place is that each place is lit up, it's easily seen from the roads. They have signs that usually have a lot of promotions and items which kind of gives you an idea of what you may want to eat when you pull in. The inside is the best part of the place. To hear timeless music playing and you get sucked back in a time of poodle skirts and saddle shoes and sock hop dances is always a Nostalgia that can't be beat. However that's where it ends. I have to agree with other people, that their food is somewhat subpar. On this particular day I had one of their breakfast bowls and it wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic. I think it had more to do with the fact that I was hungry. When you're hungry you tend to overlook a lot. But it just didn't have that wow factor. The donuts were good but I do believe they were fried instead of baked and there is a difference in the texture and the taste due to that fact. There is way too much cinnamon sugar on those donuts. They're not the first donut place to overindulge in a topping thinking that it makes it better when actually it makes a kind of difficult to eat. I wish that they would just have plain Donuts that you could dip into the icing, I think that would improve the flavor. Overall Spangles is not a bad restaurant it's just not one that you'll go out of your way to get to. It's usually one that you decide to go to when there's no other choice. They could easily change that by upping their game just a little bit

Your trash food.

The managers brother is the cook. I went there at 10:58, right before they closed. Boy, he taught me a lesson, I'm so sorry I came during your business hours, I apologize for the inconvenience. My bad....not. You're at work till 11 so f you for serving me SALT BURGERS SO LOADED WITH SALT THEY WERE INEDIBLE!! BASTARD.. 17 Dollars for 2 meals that we couldn't eat. The manager of the store did call expressing how upset she was (at her brother, supposedly) Told me she would replace the order. Then when we showed up tonight she claimed no knowledge and would not give me the food (they threw it away instead since they had started cooking it, I think, they may have cooked it halfway and pulled it so they can serve it to you tomorrow. They are trash. They made me feel like a scammer, f*ck you Ms. Jackson.

It wasn't even good. This is how they always look =(

The TB in North Topeka is good, 3-4 starts. Top service and more presentable food…read more The person giving TB a 5 start rating is probably a manager at the Wanamaker store trying to save their job. The store on Wanamaker is a disaster. All their food is pre-made, yet you'll wait in line for 15-20-30 minutes. Crazy. Every food item looks like the next because of the way they throw & shake everything together. And Drive-thru? TB should require their workers spend a couple days working at Chick-fil-a so they learn how to handle a drive-thru. Drive-thru time at TB is often a 20 to 30 minute wait. And don't expect them to appreciate that you're spending your money there. Plus...tacos from any restaurant usually fall apart by the time you get them home. Not just TB. So, you have to eat them like a taco salad. BUT TB has traditionally had Double Decker or Double Stacked Tacos. Simply Tacos with a soft tortilla wrapped around the hard shell tortilla. Those arrive home and are eatable like a "real" taco. BUT...TB can't or won't leave them on the menu. Question is why? All the ingredients to make those tacos are in the store. It's simply a regular taco with a soft tortilla on the outside. AND IT TRAVELS WELL! Getting to a point where, instead of looking for TB, find a good Taco Truck. Several around.

I've been coming here since the menu update and had good experiences--until my most recent visit. I…read morepre-ordered two Power Bowls, Nacho Fries, and a Grilled Cheese Bean Burrito. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting around 30 minutes for our food, only to receive cold Nacho Fries. I had asked for less rice in my Power Bowl but received extra rice and jalapeños, which I never requested. Meanwhile, my husband specifically asked for jalapeños in his bowl and didn't get any. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing visit--especially on a Thursday night.

I was…read moretold that i have to take the pizzas back to them when i have time, and they will give me a few dollars off next order.... Are you freaking kidding me? The time before that, there was a hair on pizza,. When a place messes up more than get it right, and makes you feel like you are the one wrong for complaining, then it isn't t worth doing business with them any longer. I am tired of places not doing things right, how expensive it is to eat put, how much we lose because half the tile we don't complain, and the other part is them not fixing it and expecting me to save a pizza until I can bring it to them, ,pictures weren't enough. Just had to share! Also i just read review below mine, it was same person dusty or dustin, way to treat customers!!

Don't eat here unless you want to eat raw dough. Then if you want the worst service, call and…read morerequest that they fix your order, if you're lucky, the line will miraculously disconnect. If you're unlucky some lowlife named "Dustin" will answer and cut you off mid-sentence after he basically calls you a liar. Here's the deal, I didn't mess up the order, Dustin did. I didn't hang up on Dustin, he hung up on me. I offered them the opportunity to do the right thing. I wasn't hostile or abusive to anyone I dealt with. (Although, In hindsight I will say I might be feeling a little regret over that). So this happened a while back but didn't post my review because I wanted to wait to see if corporate would make it right. I was also angry and didn't want to post until I was no longer seeing red. We called the customer service number and after a bit of a runaround they said the area manager (or whatever they call them), would call me within three business days. My job requires constant concentration and I even told the CS rep that and "...if I don't answer, I'll call you back or they can call me back. But please call back as I want to fix this because it is (was), my favorite pizza place" Well on the third business day they called, I was unable to answer. They left no message, no callback number. NADA! So I called back to customer service and I got the same, "they'll call you within 3 business days" So after FIVE days...THEY NEVER CALLED BACK. So it's been a couple of years now, they never called. NOT. ONE. SINGLE. WORD. Hey Pizza Hut ya wanna know what else hasn't happened? That's right, I nor anyone in my family has set foot in any, ANY of your restaurants ANYWHERE! You can keep the money you STOLE from me! Considering I used to drop $30.00 a couple times a week in your business I took the liberty of crunching the numbers and here's what it cost you... Six times per month at least $30.00=$180.00 X 12 months a year =$2160.00 X 2 years = $4320.00. Just so you know, that's a very conservative number as some months and many times I would purchase even more. So on behalf of your competitors, I and they, would like to thank you for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT WITH ME. I'm just ONE but you can multiply the above number by 4-6 because no one in my family has set one foot in ANY of your dirty restaurants. I have also told and WILL CONTINUE TO TELL EVERYONE THAT WILL LISTEN ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. I HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED TGE LAST $ YOU'LL EVER SEE OF MY MONEY! PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS IN TOPEKA, MANHATTAN AND LAWRENCE! Good riddance (crappy) Pizza Hut!
