This place is a thief! I brought in a jacket for alteration. The lady measured and when I picked it up it was still long. I brought it back to her and she said she didn't know why it came up like that. I picked it up today and told me that it was a different jacket that I brought. She said that it was a kind of stitching that the seamstress doesn't do. I paid $28 for alteration and got accused of bringing in a different one to be repaired. She even said she didn't want to hurt me. Keep my money but karma does exist. I hope you can sleep well at night knowing that you cheat on people. read more

Never have I dealt with such an unprofessional staff. Lady on the phone, who is the same one who works the front desk told me it was too hot for her to help me after they ruined three pairs of my pants. She refused to take measurements because according to her, she can eyeball it and doesn't need to measure. Not only do they charge you ahead of time, but they refused to fix the problem. All my pants were supposed to be tailored, shortened and brought in which I paid for and all were messed up. When I told him I needed one next day, to at least compensate for their mistakes. She refused and hung up the phone on me while we were talking. You're better off going anywhere but here. 100 bucks on pants they couldn't tailor and an attitude to go with their mistakes. Took 3 pairs of pants in to get tailored. I brought in an exact replica of my favorite pair of tailored pants that fit perfectly. She examined my clothes and said tailoring and cleaning would be $113 for all 3 pairs. I prepaid as requested. When I came to pick up my pants 5 days later all that had been done was they were dry cleaned and she made them all the same length hight wise. No taper on the legs so they all fit differently and are super baggy. I went back and discussed my concerns and she notes that I wasn't specific enough. She said to add tapering would be $18 more for each pair of pants which would be another $54 on top of the $113 I've already paid. She expects me to pay $167 on tailoring $45 worth of clothes? Absolutely ridiculous I was robbed. read more

I dropped off a suit at 9:20 am and her husband who took my order said it would be ready same day by 2 pm. I show up at 4:44 pm and not only is it now ready, but she insinuates that I'm lying about being told it would be ready same day. She offers zero apologies and suggests she could have it ready in TWO days by 11 am. After about 20 minutes of back and forth as to their terrible service, I luckily got my money back and my DIRTY clothes back, but I also got called the B word by this woman. Stay away!! read more

Thunderbird Cleaners has become my new cleaners! I was initially attracted by the price- $2.50 per item, but my overall experience was quite excellent. Customer service was so friendly and pleasant that I left with a smile on my face before even getting my clothes back. I was a bit nervous because I saw a sign that said that they could not be responsible for trim work or fancy items on garments, and one of my dresses had beads and feathers, but the clerk (I think he may have been the manager/owner) assured me that they would be able to handle it without any problems. Besides having great rates, service and being convenient for me (on Tropicana and Grand Canyon), they have really good hours of operation: 7a-7p. So many cleaners either open too late or close too early, and I've found myself rushing after work to collect my garments. They also have same day service if you drop your clothes off by 9am. Even if you don't, the clothes will be ready the next day! When I went back for my items, I was very satisfied. Everything was fresh and wrinkle-free. I had a tough time finding any dry cleaner open past 5 or 6, so, I paid hefty prices to a dry cleaner that delivered to my office. No more! Thunderbird is open until 7! Yes, 7! So, now I can actually pick my stuff up on my way home from work. You'd think this would be the norm, but it's not. They also charge $2.50 per item for dry cleaning, excluding leather, formals, and suede. There is also same day service if you drop your stuff off before 9:00 a.m. So, not only are they convenient, they're also cheap and fast! I'm in love. read more

The staff here is friendly and seem to have a good time working here. I use this cleaner a lot and like their prices and hours. You can drop off in the morning and pick up later the same day; they also have Saturday hours. The only thing I don't care for is they make you prepay when you drop off. Poor customer service. Paid at drop off (since they have a sign that reads "you must pay before!") When I went to pick up my items they said I hadn't paid. I didn't have receipt on me so I pulled up my credit card transactions to show them. They didn't want that. And would not realease my clothes untill I paid again! They got lucky I needed my clothes. Well I'm not usually one to write negative reviews but after 2 years this place just lost my business. The woman that works there quoted $15 for some minor sewing repair. Then I noticed I was charged $20. Today when I picked up my clothes I asked if I could get a $5 refund. She said no. I said that I would take my business elsewhere if she didn't refund me. She said "no problem". Losing a great customer over $5 doesn't make any sense to me but that's what happened. I'll never go there again. read more

This is by far the best staff cleaners in summerlin, I just moved to summerlin and was here alone without my wife, we have a new house but I just don't know how to use the washer and dryer. I should have known better! The first time I went there, a woman was at the counter in tears because Thunderbird had altered her entire new collection of jeans WAY too short. But I was in a rush and just needed a cleaning, and that went fine. The second time they charged me $3.25 for a cleaning when the advertised price is $2.50. I thought, whatever, it's still a good price, and the language barrier was too frustrating to argue over 75 cents. However, on a subsequent visit and drawn by their low prices, they pretty much ruined one of my corsets. A seam had burst about 2 inches long above the boning and they said they could fix it. The first time I picked it up, the seam was still gaping. I had my man return it the next day and he said he found the lady who worked there intoxicated and unable to write a ticket or comprehend the problem. She even tried to negotiate a price for the subsequent repair. Not too surprisingly, when I picked up the corset a second time, the 'fix' was done haphazardly as if a child had stitched it with needle and thread. Ridiculous business practices, I say, foul. read more

Asked them not to put a crease in any of my work pants. Picked them up and of course they were creased. When I got home and looked at the rest of my clothes one of the buttons on my favorite blouse was ruined. Instead of being a deep red the button now stands out as the only black button. I dropped off a suede tank top for cleaning that had been stained by my grand daughter's baby food, pees I believe they were. not sure it could be saved. advised it would be sent off site to be done, 2 week turn around, was there for p/u and pay over $20, it looked worse than when dropped off. Store clerk was embarrassed, took my $$ but was embarrassed. he offered to send it out again, elsewhere, to be done and told me that that process was free, may ruin the top, but may come back great and free of charge.
