Better than Kali River Rapids at Disney. Got soaked! Short line. Pretty waterfalls. Family friendly.

We were disappointed the snack bar wasn't open but enjoyed watching the skaters!!! All the employees were pleasant and professional. The music could have been a little better. The kind of spot that feels like generations of birthdays, linkups, and random Friday nights have happened under the same roof. Nothing too polished. Nothing trying too hard. Just a solid rink doing what it came to do. The concession stand understood the assignment. The Icees hit exactly the way rink Icees are supposed to hit. Cold. Sugary. Slightly dangerous if you drink it too fast. The chicken tenders were good too. Crispy enough. Salty enough. No fake gourmet remix. Just classic snack bar food that actually satisfies when you need a break from skating and people-watching. Staff was amazing. Friendly from the jump. Easy to deal with. Kept the place moving without making it feel stiff. That kind of energy matters in a rink because one weird employee can throw off the whole night. Not the case here. The bathroom was clean, which already deserves applause in any skating rink conversation. The floor was decent too. Enough room to move. Enough space to breathe. The whole place felt functional in the way a classic spot should. it's giving... ATL legend with a concession stand co-sign.

VERT1-G0! Apparently…read moredrop tower rides aren't "extreme" enough.....so now they feel compelled to tilt you facing downward facing the ground. Hoorayyyyy Call me crazy, but I get a kick out of the freefall sensation that rides like this generate. There's that brief - but inevitable - moment of panic when you're wondering why you agreed to hop on this terrifying contraption. Of course, at that point it's too late and the gondola has already begun its ascent towards the apex. Guess you'll just have to man up and brave the 30 seconds of terror. What sets this particular ride apart from the rest (like 'Giant Drop' @ SFGAm in northern Illinois) is that not only does the ring of 30 passengers make a full rotation before reaching the top, but hydraulic pistons tilt the bicycle-like seats downward at a 15° angle. I expected to feel this number more than I actually did, as it was barely noticeable from no tilt at all. (( thrill ride enthusiast criticism: on the park's official website, Six Flags states that Acrophobia drops you "100 stories down". Apparently the people writing ride descriptions for the park are inept f*cking morons who failed 3rd grade math class because 1 storey = 10 feet......100 stories = 1000 feet, and this drop tower ride is NOT a thousand f*cking feet tall. No ride on earth is even half that height, so get your facts straight ya bunch of dumbass idiots!! Sh*t!! )) The line was super short and the view from high up allowed me to scope out the rest of Six Flags Over Georgia. Although I was hoping for something like 'Falcon's Fury' @ Busch Gardens Tampa, what I got instead was a mere tease of what it could've been. This was Intamin's 4th generation drop tower and they upped the ante a bit with this one. Fun, but I wouldn't wait more than fifteen or twenty minutes for this ride. On your next trip to the park, give 'er a go....a verti-go!

Acrophobia is dear-oh-dear one of my favorite rides at the park, yet I regret it every time I ride…read morethe ride. I feel like everyone who gets on Acrophobia feels this way once the ride attendant yells "Dispatch" and you actually start going up. And then the speed gets faster and you start panicking. Five seconds later -- you're at the top and the ride tilts you 15 degrees over 200 feet in the air. The ride attendant sings a song and just when you know it -- the ride is over. It's pretty simple. The ride is a drop tower and it's definitely a thriller. I would consider this ride probably the scariest ride at the park, but I love the thrill and that feeling you get as the ride drops. Because this ride has such a love it or hate it vibe, lines aren't usually long despite the location of the ride itself (It's at the front of the park.) and the efficiency is solid, being able to seat 30 people at once for less than a minute ride. I usually would ride this ride if at least one other person is down to ride in my party, but that often does not even happen. That's how much this ride isn't ridden.

LITTLE (HAUNTED) HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE…read more Pint-sized scares are the order of the day on this absolutely adorable dark ride. Before I post my review of the best coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, I wanted to get this one in as it's deserving of some credit and very high praise. It's neither a coaster nor a thrill ride, but a water ride in the dark. Imagine the boats from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' were put into the 'Calico Mine Ride' at Knotts Berry Farm. Now throw in some cute monsters and voila, you've got 'Monster Mansion'. As a matter of fact, I found striking similarities between this and the indoor sections of 'Timber Mountain Log Ride'. You board a small boat and are sent into a building resembling a Southern plantation....which makes sense, as this ride was previously called 'Monster Plantation' from 1981-2008. Six Flags sunk millions into the renovation of this ride during the 2008-2009 offseason, including a complete overhaul of the audio animatronics. Of all 107 motion characters, 99 were originals that were entirely rebuilt and 8 were newly added. They appear on both sides of the boat, so it's hard to keep track of them, but the ones I could see looked fantastic. Allegedly this ride has more "4D" effects than any other in the world, yet I didn't notice a single one??? Hmmm...... No seatbelts are required since there's virtually no drop - perhaps a very, very short one of 3 feet or less - just a leisurely trip around a water channel. Since this is a low intensity attraction, everyone including small children can ride, which adds to the queue length. Bear in mind that with such muted rider throughput (a max of 6-8 per boat), lines can get L-O-N-G. The first day I visited, the queue stretched upwards of 45 minutes. Thankfully I hit it right away the following day and only waited 15 minutes. A lot of time and effort was put into this dark ride, far more than you or I could possibly imagine. It's like 'Splash Mountain' without the drops or drenching. Mild and magical, this is one of the best, most family-friendly attractions I've ever experienced. Prior to visiting SFOG I'd never heard of this 'Monster Mansion' but now that I've ridden it I'm beyond pleased to award it the highest possible marks. Major kudos to Six Flags Over Georgia for re-vamping a dilapidated ride and turning it into something wonderful.

It was originally built in the 1980s as Monster Plantation, but rebranded to Monster Mansion in 2009 after major renovations. If you're a thrill seeker, this isn't exactly the ride for you but the tradition the ride has and the presentation it displays make it a fantastic family indoor ride. It's especially a great ride to catch on a super hot day when you're looking for AC. You can tell how popular this ride is as the line for this ride is always super long, sometimes even longer than roller coasters are. It may seem childish and family-oriented, but if you know the history and tradition of SFOG, this ride is something you don't want to miss out on. Yes, the lines can be long but it is well-worth it and definitely worth checking out at least ONCE!
