Ponce City Market is a pretty cool spot in Atlanta. It's a market filled with shops and eateries…read more They even have a City Winery here. During a recent visit to Atlanta, my friend and I wanted to kill some time, so we went here to hang out. We walked around, checked out the shops, and enjoyed some gelato from Honeysuckle Gelato. There are seating areas indoors and outdoors. Since it was a nice day, we spent a good amount of time sitting outside people watching. I feel like there's a little bit of something for everyone here, whether you're local to the area or visiting from out of town. I'd definitely return during future visits to Atlanta.

And full of every sort of eating/drinking/shopping experience you & your group could want. Even with its appeal to tourists, I'd have to imagine that locals* regularly patronize the building (and shops within). I came here with a huge group on an overcast Wednesday in mid-spring. Lots of people. Lots of agendas. Everyone was sated. Why? Because PCM is home to a bevy of experiences. I really enjoy repurposed old warehouses. From the sweeping ceilings to the ironwork to the beautiful old wood, they're reminders of why some things are meant to be kept and protected -- even when the old shell reveals something new inside. I detached from my group and went feral. I was here to eat but I wanted to explore. I did some window shopping and people watching. I attempted to access the roof but I needed a ticket or some such nonsense (Atlanta still has to Atlanta). But if you have the time and patience to get a ticket, you should check it out. I eventually settled on dinner and dessertS (reviews to come) and enjoyed every bite. There's a reason why PCM is a part of external-facing media when it comes to Atlanta. And I'm pleased to report that it acquits itself nicely. Even if it's out of your way and/or not in your plan to visit, make the time to do so. I think you'll be happy that you did. *I do understand the annoyance at parking issues being a deterrent to visiting. That struggle is real and universal.

I personally didn't think it cost that much and plus the $10 entrance fee will be credit to any makeup you choose to purchase afterwards. I made reservations for 3 online to make sure we get the first slot available on a Saturday morning. I know the malls open at 8 am but not necessarily the stores. Unfortunately for us, there was another group that tagged along with us for our "tour." Now, usually I wouldn't care as much but we had one extra person and the same amount of time to take photos. I felt we should have gotten extra time to do so for that reason. Each group had like one minute to take pics in their group. Sucks for us, we had an extra person. Because of that, I didn't take my phone out and got my friend to use her phone and for her to just send to me. Each room had a theme and a WinkyLux product it represents. I was sadden that most products were sold out. Plus you are only able to use the $10 credit after going to the rooms. Even though a lot of the products were sold out, I was happy with what I got. I did have fun with girlfriends and took photos. 119/2018

So, first of all, there is an entrance fee to pay when you want to go to the photogenic experience rooms. Its 10$ plus tax but well worth if you actually plan to buy any of their products since they give it back at the end to go towards your purchase. The experience - fun! Especially if you love taking photos because they have rooms set up just for that purpose! Each room features a product of winkylux and the decorations represent what the product is like. Sadly, alot of items were sold out but we were still allowed to sample them. Personally, Ive been to the Museum of Ice Cream and honestly this setup is pretty dissapointing and alittle run down compared to it, especially since they were apparently inspired by the moic concept. The lighting was meh, and they could have tried better in most of the rooms. Also, you have to constantly put your bags and coats on the floor since they didnt have a place to put your things to take a picture. The products - cant complain! I mean, nothing to rave over but considering theyre a more "economical luxury line" it wasn't half bad as in, their shadows were very pigmented and their lippy sticks were good tints! Still, it was pretty pricy. I ended up purchasing their signature ph flower balm and it was 14$ (i paid an extra 4 dollars with the 10$ credit). This only sounds reasonable if the lipstick was alittle bigger, its no bigger than a normal person's thumb. Its really tiny. The eyeshadow paletts were 25$ and single shadows were 12$. I didnt bother checking the prices of other things. It was still a fun experience for me and my friend. Its only a popup shop so its worth going to to get some cute pics and cute cosmetics.
