That was in downtown Atlanta on May 8, 1886. Fast forward to modern days, it has evolved to a multibillion dollar industry! I believe the formula has changed since the very first time. It is now in all over the world. The beverage company has added many different versions, product lines, and flavors! There's Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Gold Peak Teas, Fuze, Minute Maid, Smart Water, Vitaminwater, Fresca, Fa!rlife, and much more!! I enjoy the Coke Zero and the Fa!rlife milk, and the Fa!rlife chocolate protein drinks. This brand is in every grocery store and gas stations. Well, everywhere! There's even stores with clothing, hats, and gadgets accessories. I like them so much that I have added their stocks in retirement account. ;) It's a fun way to build wealth. It's funny that I've enjoyed different versions of Coke all of my life. I grew up having it. The best ones were in the Midwest in the rural route areas where the drugstore made the syrup versions! I also enjoy the glass bottles as well. Overall, it's the stable treat in my house. Prices have been climbing up the past few years. I now buy at Costco to save $$$.

It might not actually be noticeable since their logo is so ubiquitous that it's become background noise at this point. It has even made its way into everyday language. As other Yelpers have pointed out, in the south, Coke is synonymous with the word soda. Like if someone offers you a Coke, the natural response would be "What kind do you have?". Then it would be perfectly reasonable for them to name pretty much any carbonated soft drink under the sun. I personally don't drink Coke very often, but my family does. Their thirst is so insatiable that I can almost single-handedly clear out an endcap of 12 packs at my local grocery store on a biweekly basis. Considering what avid Coke fans I have in my family, I still can't believe that I didn't know a museum existed until I came across it on Yelp. It's been added to our bucket list now though! One thing that keeps us (and probably many others) loyal is the consistent quality. Every once in a while we'll run into a problem, but it's nothing that an exchange won't fix. After all, they've gotten too expensive to simply throw away the bad ones.

I visited what I thought was to be the circus this past Sunday with a group of about 20 family…read moremembers. The seating was absolutely horrible! The seats were entirely too close and too low; even lowered to the floor more as I sat in it. After I pushed back some to allow myself to push up to stand up the seat came back up from the floor. The show was full of dancers and acrobatic acts; no animals and only three dancing clowns that did not perform in the ring so that the ppl who paid for prime seating (row three) could have e a perfect view without having to get a crook in their neck by turning to locate the clowns. The show also has not changed over the years; the same acts, performances, acts with fake ppl supposedly blindly selected from the audience, the dance contest where everyone wins etc... I was highly disappointed and ready to leave during intermission; only stayed for my grandson. Extremely disappointed; I'll never attend again but I wish the participants well. I must say that some of the acts were jaw dropping!

She seemed so excited about the history here and even gave my son a scavenger hunt board so he could search for different items While we toured. He LOVED it! He even won a prize at the end. They have their own parking lot out front and the admission is very low ($9 per adult, 5 and under are free, and my 7 year son had student pricing of $6). It's located right next door to the Marietta Square market food hall. The garden was awesome to explore! Each plant, vegetable and fruit had signage so we knew exactly what we were looking at. It was so fun to see what they grew and used in the cook house. Eggplants, watermelons, pumpkins, Lima beans! I loved seeing the bumble bees floating around the beautiful flowers. It was nice seeing how well taken care of the garden was. There is an awesome art sculpture in the garden that was created by the KSU art and design. The gift shop is beautiful and had so many awesome items and merch to purchase! Love, love, loved! I can't wait to go back during the holidays and see the space lit up.

I have been to every Winter Beer Carnival in ATL…read more First Year - Art Gallery - AWESOME SAUCE. All I remember was "shutting the place down" while dancing to 80s classics (great DJ!) and finding a stash of prizes in my purse the next morning. Second Year - Random Lot in Midtown - loved the much bigger venue, lots more games, plenty of space to roam around. It helped it was beautiful weather that year. But I waited forever for food (almost 45 mins for a funnel cake!) and the lines were so long for the bathrooms that I walked over to Cheetah Lounge to use their facilities. BONUS - the location was super convenient to MARTA. And Midtown in general; I walked there and back that year. Third Year - Atlantic Station - The infamous freezing-my-butt-off year. I was so cold I couldn't drink enough to make myself forget about it. They were very poorly prepared for this situation. Also, the layout of the beer tents was super confusing, there were people everywhere, and the games weren't as fun/didn't have cool prizes anymore. Worst of all...we had a medical issue in our group, and I was absolutely floored that no one could tell me where the medical tent was. I had a guy who was literally gushing blood, and all the volunteers (even event staff) were clueless. We finally found "first aid" which was some volunteer with a first aid kit, and I was shocked that for a beer festival this large they didn't have an actual first aid stand... you know, for the idiots who drink way too much or, like my friend, injure themselves. So I resigned myself to not going this year, since last year was pretty awful and I'm supposed to be on a diet. But at the last minute my plans changed, and I was back for a fourth year. I still don't like this location. It's tough to get to without driving or taxi-ing. It's also CRAZY windy over there, so even if it's not too cold you'll get a wind chill. The layout is still confusing. And- either they sold too many tickets or the booths were just too close together, but the lines were out of control and impossible to get around even if you weren't in line for beer. Definitely the longest lines at a beer festival I've had to wait in. We got there around 4:30pm, an hour and a half into the festival, and almost every table was out of one or two of the beers they were offering. It's a little annoying to feel like you have to pay for the VIP ticket in order to, you know, drink the beers you were expecting to be able to try. The lines for games were also ridiculous, and I didn't really see any fun/interesting prizes. Many of the seemingly less-popular games didn't have any attendants either....I guess they didn't have a good handle on their volunteers. The keg racing thing that took up a huge amount of space ended up breaking down towards the end. As for beers. I didn't try anything particularly outstanding, or rare, or anything like that. Kind of a bummer. I'm trying to think of something positive to say. I loved the addition of Food Trucks to the event. The DJ was decent. The company was awesome. Oh, and Yelp! was there with some sexy volunteers! After this year's experience, I really don't see myself returning unless I get free tickets somehow. It seems like just another event where they don't care at all about crowd control or capping ticket sales.

Some thoughts on the different areas:…read more The King Center exhibits provided some great insight into the like of MLK, Gandhi, and Rosa Parks, though they feel a bit dated and as if they have not been updated in quite a few decades. The grounds of the King Center are impressive, and the freedom walk, reflecting pool, and tomb of Martin Luther King were beautiful. The Freedom Hall exhibits, though, could be cut if you have limited time. We made sure to stop by for the ranger program at Ebenezer Baptist Church because everyone online said it was a must-do. The presentation began with what felt like the ranger going through a checklist of things he had to say before taking us up into the sanctuary itself to walk a lap around it as a sermon played in the background. Sadly, this experience did not live up to the hype, so structuring our day around being available for the time of the ranger program was not something we would do again. We visited the Birth Home on the second day it reopened and were glad the timing worked out! The Ranger tour was so well done, providing such insight into the childhood and life of Martin Luther King in a way that was engaging, interactive, and made the time fly by. Our ranger found a way to bring everyone - from the oldest to the youngest participants - into the discussion and clearly was passionate about the subject! The visitor center is currently undergoing renovations, so we know we missed some great exhibits that we would've seen in there.
