Coca Cola Company has been around a very long time. Dr. John Pemberton created the first syrup and brought it to Jacob's Pharmacy to make the first glass. That was in downtown Atlanta on May 8, 1886. Fast forward to modern days, it has evolved to a multibillion dollar industry! I believe the formula has changed since the very first time. It is now in all over the world. The beverage company has added many different versions, product lines, and flavors! There's Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Gold Peak Teas, Fuze, Minute Maid, Smart Water, Vitaminwater, Fresca, Fa!rlife, and much more!! I enjoy the Coke Zero and the Fa!rlife milk, and the Fa!rlife chocolate protein drinks. This brand is in every grocery store and gas stations. Well, everywhere! There's even stores with clothing, hats, and gadgets accessories. I like them so much that I have added their stocks in retirement account. ;) It's a fun way to build wealth. It's funny that I've enjoyed different versions of Coke all of my life. I grew up having it. The best ones were in the Midwest in the rural route areas where the drugstore made the syrup versions! Whether we like it or not, Coke is so ingrained in our lives that it can be found just about anywhere at any time. It might not actually be noticeable since their logo is so ubiquitous that it's become background noise at this point. It has even made its way into everyday language. As other Yelpers have pointed out, in the south, Coke is synonymous with the word soda. Like if someone offers you a Coke, the natural response would be "What kind do you have?". Then it would be perfectly reasonable for them to name pretty much any carbonated soft drink under the sun. I personally don't drink Coke very often, but my family does. Their thirst is so insatiable that I can almost single-handedly clear out an endcap of 12 packs at my local grocery store on a biweekly basis. Considering what avid Coke fans I have in my family, I still can't believe that I didn't know a museum existed until I came across it on Yelp. It's been added to our bucket list now though! While in Atlanta, we visited a friend during working hour who works at Coca-Cola and got to visit the facility. The office building and spaces were absolutely beautiful. She gave us a tour of everything- from the cafeteria, to the many, many vending machines full of coke, to the open areas; the space was a dream. I work remotely so getting to see an office space fullfilled my dream of working in a building. It was all hustle and bustle here but everything had such a great flow. The cafeteria had some good options and I loved all the vending machines. We visited during the launch of the orange creamsicle coke and got to grab some to try while we were here! (Seriously, I almost threw up from the stench) The tasting areas were packed and people stood right in front of the machines even after they got their samples. I'm a soda pop junky so I'm excited to visit the place. Upon arrival, you can park on site for $17 for the full day and yes, you can do other attractions nearby as well as it's all in walk distance. Take the ticket with you after you park your car and at the end of you visit, pay at any booth machine. Don't lose your ticket, otherwise you'll have to $20 to leave the lot! Upon entering, you'll encounter several friendly staff. You and your party will take a photo at the entrance and will be given a postcard. Save the postcards as all attractions will be recorded on the barcode printed on your postcard. You can view and purchase any pictures at the end of your visit buy scanning the barcode. Now get ready to learn a bit of history of who allegedly invented Coca Cola and when, what was it used for and how much did it costs, etc. This is a self guided tour which I enjoy so you can take your time viewing. There's a 3D theater show. It's a short film so don't expect much. You'll also have the opportunity to take a photo with the white polar bear and yes, there will be a line but the line moves fairly quick. The best part of the visit is going to the tasting room where you can enjoy the unlimited tasting of different drinks from all over the world and of course the 100 different flavors. My advice is to come here off hours where there's no school field trips and go to the tasting room first before it gets crowded and the floors gets sticky from all the soda pop spilling. read more

As more and more corporations become advocates for social change it occurs to me that knee-jerk reactions to hot button issues of the day invariably lead to embarrassing backtracking as the political winds shift and these same corporations are forced to modify "their truth" to accommodate public opinion and antsy shareholders. I found out so much new information about Coke and how many products that they offer. I especially loved the tasting room where you can taste their flavors from across the world. My boys love coke... we don't let them drink it, accept on special occasions, but they love it! Because it is only once or twice a year that they can drink it, it has become that ultimate of drinks, the king of wow, and the zing in their wing. Basically it is super special. What better thing would there be then to take them to the Coca-Cola museum then?!? The kids were psyched! (Mainly for the tasting room) It is really cool to see all that is there. My wife and I could have spent the day looking and reading and seeing all the things coke. For the kids the 3hrs there was about the max. There are antiques, facts, equipment, pictures and more to see. It really was unreal. Coke nostalgia abound! I don't drink coke anymore, but I do sprite... that counts right? It was truly awesome though. The tasting room was actually the major let down. I had envisioned an old time soda bar... and what we got was some soda machines like at the corner diner or the pie wei. The first stage had different sodas from around the world. My favorite was the ginger beer... I could have drank it all. From that stage we went to the different flavors of coke... from one of those machines that you see in some restaurants, it was very anti climatic.just press a button hold the cup and there you have it. Ag ai n just like at the pei wie. I really think with all the nostalgia they should of had some soda jerks serving the coke in big coke glasses... but oh well. Every thing g else was hella cool! What a fantastic company and classic American success story! My father worked as a route salesman in Dallas Texas for the Coca Cola Company in the early 1960s. Those old enough to remember,will recall the trucks and how they loaded cases of glass bottles on the sides. They would run their routes of Restaurants gas stations and grocery stores picking up the empty cases of glass bottles and distributing fresh product. The empties were loaded on top,yes top of the truck. Can you imagine that job? My father did it well and was offered a promotion to management. Only one catch,it involved relocating to Maine! No way my mom was doing that so...the end of my father's Coca Cola career. He did well though going to work for Russell Stover Candies ending up as Western Region Manager of the US. I'm sure the work ethic instilled by Coke with there leading edge systems management helped him. I have been here twice now, with the most recent time being this past week. I would recommend going on a weekday or making reservations if trying to go on a weekend. The line on Saturday was extremely long to get in, so we went back Monday morning and there was close to no one even outside. The museum is such a cool experience that I would recommend! I love how thoughtfully made the museum is. It has appeal to multiple age groups and has films, history, games, and interactive activities. It engages all of your senses at some point in time and is so interesting! I love that you can try their drinks from all over the world and even purchase a souvenir cup to take one home! I only wish they could bottle it for you to take home for those that may be traveling like I was. The gift store is huge! Try to go early to avoid the crazy-long lines that are inevitable. There are so many facts and cool games to look at as you walk through the world of Coca-Cola. This is great fun for children and adults. They also had a beverage tasting room with several different types of soft drinks that are all bottled by Coca-Cola. Some foreign flavors tasted better than any of the North American flavors that I am used to. They had soda that tasted like barbecue sauce sprite with notes of cucumber, and so much more. The price was very reasonable for my family of 4 to visit and to enjoy so many different exhibits. Don't forget your Coca-Cola merch as you exit. I almost spent $300 in the store alone. read more

This was a fun sight seeing your. It's nice to reminisce and look back at the history of this iconic red and white soda brand. It's deeply ingrained in American pop culture. It's been a part of so much and it was the soda brand my family drank. It's cool to see the bottling process once you get through the history and to see bottles all around you on different conveyers at different parts of the process. We did wait in a short line to take a pic with the mascot of Coca Cola, the ever taciturn but always jovial polar bear. He will try to eat your head though for posterity sake and all in good fun. This is my second time at the World of Coca Cola. The first time, I went with a friend and we went through all the exhibits and definitely a bit more enjoyable. The second time I went was with my 10 year old daughter who just wanted to try the different sodas... we did the Beverage Lab... that was a waste of time. We spent 20 minutes in line to get in, 20 minutes in line inside the lab and making the drink to just go upstairs to wait in line for a machine and press a button which anyone can press and try the different beverage lab combinations. Do not waste your time. The best part is the sodas from around the world and the gift shop that has surprisingly good pricing!!! Staff is very friendly and helpful! read more

So my mom took me to Publix to try the new Coca-Cola starlight and well let's just say it tasted like a dog Took a dump in the can and mixed it with some cotton candy and water stuff and it wasn't great. Overall this isn't really a review on the actual building because the museum is insane. I went there last winter and had a lot of fun tasting and looking at all of coax history. The group portion is ended with a video that was just a big commercial that seemed to be a time consuming event so people ahead of you got through the experience with one larger group waiting lines. It could have been more information on the product itself. After that you are free to explore the different areas that offer more about the brand. There you find areas with John Pembertons history, secrets of the receipe and all off the Coca Cola branding over the years. This is the fascinating part for me. The advertising and merchandise from the start to current day and how it was used for sports, holidays and historical events. There is a tasting area where you are able to try Coca Cola brands from all over the world. This area gets crowded the most and the floor is super sticky.
