There was so much candy and too many options to choose from. If you are looking for a fun and tasty outing stop by and grab some of your favorites and try something new! I promise you they have something for everyone!

We happened to visit during Chalkfest in October. Parking on the Square was not possible due to the event, but there are plenty of nearby parking garages. Once you enter the store, you are transported to your childhood, only better because growing up near a 7-11 convenience store was great, but they only had one main aisle of candy. This store utilizes every square foot to delicous treats such as salt water taffy, penny candy, candy bars, gum, novelties, lollipops, and gummies of all types. I know I am missing many categories of treats, but they're all here! Even the oldest in our group managed to find their childhood candies and I was surprised they bought them! There is ample space for kids and adults to browse the walls and display areas. Rocket Fizz also features novelty and traditional sodas. Making a gift basket or getting candy to fill a Christmas stocking couldn't be easier because the selection is vast! The walls are decorated with nostalgic signage and I think as impressive as the selection is, the neatness and orderliness of the shelves and displays is noteworthy. The staff or owners clearly take time to make this store easy to shop and look good! I recommend this store to everyone and will return!

Tiny British goods shop at the Marietta Square! Apparently it's been there for a decade but I've…read morenever seen it hundreds of times that I've walked by. It's easy to miss...look for the Union Jack flag near Rocket Fizz. + Ambiance is British themed shop in a skinny, ~ 8' wide space. ++ Food is Brit branded shelf goods...Heinz, Galaxy, Sharwoods....tea biscuits, jams and candy bars. They also have teas, tea cups, mugs, Union Jack themed trinkets and flag and kitchy signs. + Price is slightly higher as one should expect for a specialty boutique grocer/convenience shop. = Service is nonchalant. + Parking is street and not too hard. Overall, most items are made by multinationals, Heinz, Nestle... that you can get online, however, it's a convenient local shop for British expats! MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane - - Disgusted - Don't bother = Missed the Mark + Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE...WHERE have you been all my LiFe!

I visited Marietta over the Victoria Day weekend (Canada). It was the same day as the Royal…read moreWedding, they had free cake (of which I did not partake), and it was pandemonium in the store. I am of two minds regarding this place: Pro's: Well-stocked, good variety of products (the chocolate stuff we get in Toronto, no biggie for me), but they had my favourite tea from Scotland and some grocery items which I had not seen in a while. Also, had some interesting biscuits with jam centres which I love. In essence, this place would have probably been a more favourable experience on a less busy day. Had a lot of Digestif biscuits (can get these at home in Canada as well). The jam biscuits were very fresh and not broken into pieces. This makes the store worthy of additional points for sure. Con's: UNFRIENDLY lady at the cash register. Looked totally frazzled and none too friendly. Hey, you offer free cake - don't expect a quiet day lady! I am not sure how much people were actually purchasing, but the place was just insane. I have updated my review, based on freshness of product.

Woah, I am in love. The best pralines I have ever had. Bernard's is located in the East Lake Kroger…read moreshopping center (practically next to AJ's Famous Seafood and PoBoy's Cajun restaurant). Part of this mama's family hails from Louisiana. So you could say I am somewhat of an expert. And these are delish. When I walked in they offered us a sample. I bought a medium sized box in a clam shell cover ($9). Let's just say that the box was full about 2 hours ago and now well...There is a little bit left. I am holding back ya'll. Got the original pralines with pecans. Spoke with the owner's daughter, these are the real deal. This is the original recipe from the famous Bernard's Praline's in New Orleans, Lousiana and Harvey, Louisiana. Asked her why they use margarine instead of butter, she said most recipes use either margarine or butter. The margarine version keeps the pralines from being too sweet. Shhh, I personally am a butter addict (at least 5 lbs at all times in my fridge) and couldn't tell the difference. I went to Kroger's afterward and saw my friend and let her try a piece. She was like "Yummy, I just noticed that place and wanted to try it too". They have pralines with and without nuts and flavored pralines in smaller packages (rum, coconut and more) for $2 each. Plus, they make fresh batches everyday. She also had praline cupcakes and huge apples dipped in praline. They do big orders too. Just call. Okay while writing this I ate 3 more pieces. Somebody stop me. I think I am going to have to hide them from myself and the kids. PS They said they were getting King Cakes in for Mardi Gras this year from a famous king cake maker. You heard it here first folks, genuine King cakes in Marietta, GA!
