The menu doesn't even have Vietnamese writing on it. It has Chinese characters. Led by misleading reviews I came here hoping for an authentic Vietnamese meal during my Paris travels, but my trek in the rain to find this place was not rewarded. The interior was tight. You may have to move tables or ask other patrons to get up for you to squeeze into your seat. My boyfriend had the Soupe Tonkinoise au Bouef et Boulettes (11€) which in Vietnamese is a Pho Tai Bo Vien and I had the Riz Luc Lac au Boeuf (12€) which in Vietnamese should be the Com Bo Luc Lac. The meal was affordable and it tasted okay but my issue is the lack of authenticity. Com Bo Luc Lac usually has onions and tomatoes with the beef. This was only beef and there was no sauce glaze on it. Also restaurant usually served it with a side of salad. Vietnam is an agricultural country and most of our dishes usually have a plethora of veggies. My boyfriend isn't even a picky guy but he said his Pho was below average. I'm not sure why this place has great ratings... maybe there was a recent change in ownership and it's no longer what it used to be.

Yea, I'm in Paris and should be eating at all these Michelin restaurants but you can't change cravings. I searched for pho and found Com Home. It wasn't too far from our hotel so I decided to check them out. The place is a cozy hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant but it's full of charm. They offer Vietnamese cuisine to dine in and take out. The owner is this sweet old lady. She visited Hawai'i about 5 years ago to celebrate her mother-in-law's 100th birthday. During her two week stay, she picked up 3 pieces of art to hang on her walls in the restaurant. She knew I was going to order pho when I walked in so I ordered a steak and meatball pho for dine in and a Grandma Bu Lac Lac Shanking Beef to go for Mink. The pho had a bed of fresh bean sprouts on the bottom of the bowl with the thick cut noodles in the middle and the beef with meatballs on top. She provides a lemon wedge, a homemade chili sauce, hoisin sauce and fresh cut Thai chili. Mink said her order was really good as she devoured almost all of it. Friendly customer service with comfort food. Support a small local businesses near the famous L'Arc de Triomphe.

Came here upon the recommendation of a friend and unfortunately it was just not it. I really wanted…read moreto like it because it looked like a cute little spot, that was run by a little old lady. We came in on a Monday at around 12:45. There are only about 6 tables (2 inside and 4 outside) and there were 2 other tables dining there at the time. Service is very slow, understandably so since it's a one-woman show. This might be okay if the food was good but it was not and it was pretty expensive for (less than) standard Vietnamese food. To start, we ordered the chicken cha gio. This was actually really good and definitely the best thing we ate here. It was perfectly fried and the filling was super flavorful. It comes with fish sauce and a side of a really spicy and delicious chili garlic hot sauce. For mains, we had the beef pho and tomato rice with beef cubes. The noodles aren't fresh pho noodles but seemed like the dry ones. The broth itself tasted like they added beef bouillon in it. Also, I don't know if this is a French or actual Vietnamese thing, but it didn't come with any bean sprouts, cilantro, or jalapeño. It was also half the size than what I'm used to at home so I left still feeling hungry. The tomato rice wasn't actually tomato rice. It was just white rice sprinkled with some tomato seasoning. Beef was lackluster as well. There are plenty of other Vietnamese restaurants in Paris. I would suggest going to those.
